Entropedia is being moved to a new server

Thanks for your hard work and effort!

Where is the donate button??:scratch2:

I still get this when trying to go to it..

Reported Attack Page!

This web page at www.entropiawiki.com has been reported as an attack page and has been blocked based on your security preferences.

Attack pages try to install programs that steal private information, use your computer to attack others, or damage your system.

Some attack pages intentionally distribute harmful software, but many are compromised without the knowledge or permission of their owners.

I forgot to change the database to the new server, that was the reason the site was responding so slow. I am currently fixing this, though all updates since the site was moved will be gone.

No worries friend, standing by for when site works.

Thanks so much again for all that you do for the community.

I still got a warning from Advanced SystemCare when I went to the normal address, but using the new ip posted by LuckyCharm ( http://5.153.53.42/) gets me to entropedia fine, no warnings.

Thanks for all of your efforts over the years Witte, I am one of those who feels playing Entropia without access to your wiki is a major loss.

Same here thanks ! :yay:

Everything seems to work fine again now, except for the map. But that is an issue with google and will require some updates to the code.

Donation button can be found in the lower left by the way ;)

Thanks so much for the effort mate! the normal link is now working again, can't get weapon compare to work tho.. edit: working now

Still shows there is malware thingy

I noticed that in order to completely get rid of the mallware you also need to empty your browser cache. On my computer the page with mallware on it was saved in cache, and was loaded instead of the mallware free page that is now online.

You're right. It worked for me now. Btw is it normal that its running a lot slower than usual? Could it be because I cleared the cache perhaps.

tried this and still show up with virus warning

I used the new ip and was able to get on but I can't do anything with any of the data, not even turn a page on any of the data pages..

I was able to get on and it was just like old times but a little slower, which I think Wittle said there was something he had to do to fix that.

But for me it is working fine.

When I go to the website using firefox im getting :

Bad Request (Invalid Hostname)

When I use the IP address the website comes up but functionalilty seems not to work , eg, when I click "all" to list a table it just shows me the first page .

When I look at the website using chrome , that gives me loads of red warning pages .

Danger: Malware Ahead!
Google Chrome has blocked access to this page on www.entropiawiki.com.
Content from www.entropiabay.com, a known malware distributor, has been inserted into this web page. Visiting this page now is very likely to infect your computer with malware.

I had the same problem till I cleared my local cache, forcing a page reload.
In firefox select options\options from the dropdown menu, goto the network tab and clear cached web content.

Google will continue reporting the site as an attack site until Witte sorts things out with them.

I didn't clear my cache, but what I did do, was go inside Firefox and go to the main menu, then Options, then find Security, then find where it says Block Reported Attack sites and there is a button for Exceptions. I listed http://www.entropiawiki.com as an Allow exception, and now, even though I still end up with a warning, I'm able to click Ignore This Warning, and then This Is Not An Attack Site, and it will load it. It still sends me to StopBadWare in a different tab, but the tab for Entropedia stays open, and all I have to do is switch back to it.

I'm very grateful that you built this website. Playing Entropia would be just about impossible, especially if you are new like me, without having all the reference info. Thanks so much for maintaining it. I hope this doesn't sound bad to anyone, but I personally think it would be a good idea to update other sites we have access to with accurate information or create perhaps a mirror site somehow to bypass the main site, a backup if you will that isn't static but is actually functional, so that if something like this happens again, we do not all panic. But I'm new, so my opinions probably really don't matter much to anyone.

massive GZ to Witte and his work on this site. I have it constantly open on my laptop next to my main pc while playing

Doing that you are vulnerable for future infections....

It seems to me that there is a lot trouble using browsers other than Microsoft IE. I use IE and have not had a problem after the fix. I did not have to do any of the things that people have had to do with the different browsers. A very good friend of mine is a programmer and has been for many years and is sot after by many companies because of his skills. He told me a long time ago that he only installs Microsoft products on Microsoft operating systems and has very little trouble. I chose to follow his example and have very, very little trouble.

This not a bash on other browsers just my experience with IE.

This is the same problem I have and it is the same on different browsers.

I stand corrected. I did clear the cache, but I forgot that I did it. I have Firefox clear it on exit, so it did it automatically, and I didn't remember setting it to do it. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

Entropedia has seemed to work well for me, although on occasion I still get the warning thing from Chrome while navigating. More importantly, I saved a bookmark of the http://5.153.53.42/ and have used that a few times on accident. Some things did not work using that instead of the normal address. Like weapons would only show the first page, not allowing me to go to page 2,3 ect.

I don't know enough to be confident in anything, but I would think http://5.153.53.42/ should work 100% as well as http://www.entropiawiki.com/ but it doesn't. Does this imply that some of the internal links are still referencing the old (Possibly infected) site?

If the site uses host headers then referencing the ip address instead of the fqdn is like to result in issues navigating between pages, calling functions (such as table pagination). So really if the fqdn (www.entropiawiki.com) is working then just stick with that.

I have no idea what you just said, but I'll trust you still think everything's Ok.

Good enough for me.
