I see alot of people whinning about an RX unit that got a 9k tower in PvP. They are afraid that MA takes loot and some ubers will get it.
While, although this is very thoroughly explained on another forum by someone who had an official avatar, and this is simply not true.
Firstly, an RX unit is not a personal avatar, it is an avatar bound to the planetpartner (a roleplay avatar; one of the 5 different types of avatars); in this case planet calypso, not MA.
Secondly, such an avatar is bound to rules; about 5 pages full text of rules about what can and cannot be done by/with such an avatar.
Thirdly, the funding of those avatars comes from the PP itself; namely the peds gained by selling LA's, estates and such.
Forth, the peds by the selling of items from some banned accounts go for 40% to MA/FPC. why 40% cannot be discussed either on this forum, but can be found at that other forum.
Fifth, since that was alot of peds (shadow, IMKII, MM, uber amps,...); 40% of that amount is alot of money.
Sixth, if you considered the following happened. Instead of keeping those peds, someone at FPC logs into the RX account and go buy a couple lvl13 amps from auction. Then (s)he goes to pvp and start dropping bombs.
In most cases this would be a horrible loss, but by alot of luck (s)he hits a tower.
Now, two things are possible; use it to craft or playing bait for skilled players to team up and bring him/her down. The second is more fun for more people.
So in conclusion; those peds come from loot; but they come from loot by adding peds to loot. Peds that are brought in circulation by FPC.
If the RX unit got 17 nrf's you wouldn't know; but the lootpool would be filled for miners. Maybe this already happened in the past.
Thing is, the peds gained are a small portion of the peds brought into the system. Those peds come from the sales of stuff. So instead of whinning about lootpool being drained, be happy that those peds from sales get cycled again instead of going to new corporate cars and a pay-raise.
