Info: Radar in lootable pvp zones.

Today i was in pvp4 for 2h. Not for mine or hunt, but only for PK. Saw 6 players, killed and looted 5. Noone of them even had a chance to fight for his loot. I did spend 5-10peds, looted 150 ped. Had no team or tags. It was fun? Not at all.

You make no sense at all. You killed 5 players, had good loot and still complaining that "it's no fun".
How exactly is radar going to give you "fun"? People will suddenly start fighting you back knowing that you have way better gear and HPs? Ain't gonna happen. Oh, they sure will try to charge a TP before you get in Tango range. And fail. How will this improve their chances? Not the slightest. Also, I can guarantee you that you saw 6 players in 2 hours, but you've missed 20 because of no radar.

Keep radar disabled but tweak a few things like:

- Lagging when entering someone's radar warning them
- Teleporting into zone from outside you get to glimpse the radar for a second, showing you if anyone is on radar
- Remove tags
- Ban the ones who are using radar bugs - wont name names.

That would make it more interesting!

Sorry, i didnt told you that i was standing in ONE place with everything on high and high sound just waiting for miners to come? Here you can see how "fun" it is. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=izJfzY0P8Ss&feature=youtu.be Btw, if someone gonna say I was exploiting tree - it is one of things you can go thru, so...
By things you saying, im sure you didnt fight in lootable pvp, because you should know that if someone ran to you radar (~415 meters), you got much more time then to load tp and jump out before someone came to "tango range".
Are you joking with 20 players? It was morning and I am 110% sure that in whole pvp was less then that. However, even it was 20 or 120 players running around, that dosnt matter. What is matter is kill/escape amount of players i saw. And like sachi.mk2 told - mabie you would want to go and hunt inside lootable pvp for few days. Then you gonna see how fun is no radar and why only hunters activity is so low.

Main thing is that everyone who think that radar would be better for PKers are wrong, because with radar it is more easy to escape, because with radar PKers will spends shitload of mind essense for tping around, because people will see them at will be able to fight for they loot (not only to die like blind chiken). At same time PKers will get PK fun, like it was all the time before cars/disabled radar.

P.S. Stop crying about others HP and gear. If you are someone who even dont want to skill up/buy skills/buy expensive PK stuff, why you going to lootable pvp?

Now I see MA buying new powerfull PC for everyone and making good internet connection to australians :D

There are a lot of different and difficult thins that it should be changed. But there is one and easy that could replace them all.

Hehe, my connection is 100mbit, just the distance from server is the problem. Maybe it is lag that causes these problems for me, but it is definitely not my computer.

The tag.... is only need fix MA is remove damn tags :wise:
and ofc i agrre with you on rest mate;)

the poeple that pk other now most of them its the $$$$ they have no risk

put it 5 shot kill or a head shot for one kill

also put in they have to carry something they can loose

if you want to loot a certain amout put in half or 25 % that will make it fun

then you have poeple in there pk the pk

all i see is win win for the pk not to loose than just a few shots 10 000 percent markup

If you are someone who even dont want to skill up/buy skills/buy expensive PK stuff, why you going to lootable pvp?

Not everyone has the IRL Resources it takes to deposit 10k's of PEDs (make it 100k+ if thinking seriously to get that imp/mod fap, eon/shadow armor and mod dar) to buy the gear needed. And supply for permanently tierable items like vrek2k sga is, by definition, limited. (Tango I don't Think any has dropped since SGA, and the erons on arkadia seems to have stopped dropping. Eredicator type four from camping Iotas? Hope you're kidding.. well I guess ingame quota of them is full aswell)

Having said that, I Think you said it yourself: "If you are someone who even dont want to skill up/buy skills/buy expensive PK stuff, why you going to lootable pvp?", I mean; besides the occasional Explorer or miner who takes a risk, the people you are going to meet in lootable pvp is the dedicated people who has the gear and who knows what they are doing. A normal player would Think the opposite: "If I go to pvp4, risk is pretty high I meet people who can take me out in five seconds if I have luck bad enough to meet them."

A miner who gets wanked 4 times out of 5 (and loses all carried loots aswell as antitoxic shot) will Think "screw this I go mine on a landarea instead". A miner who survive 4 out of 5 trips will Think "I Think this will work, if I just can get a markup of 120% in average plus cost of antitoxic back I Think I can make it".

A special case is the Towers. Though I Think that dragging out the Towers out of lootable pvp is a kind of cheating (and also can be risky if a pk:er will guard the Tower and snipe the miner for the ammo back), the times I've mined in pvp4 my nightmare has been getting a Tower there and noone powerful enough to beat the top level pk:ers there to help me. Long time ago Star had a pvp4 Escort service, but I'd guess that service is put on ice for now (for social reasons) ;)

If they now gonna keep team target, maybe they could develop it some more?
If someone who have you as target enter max radarrange, maybe the background
of radar could turn green or something, so we at least get a warning that somewhere
on radar is someone with team target on...

What does that event has to do with PvP4? :scratch2:

Radar on in PvP is only to benefit the pk guys and not the miner.

I don't see many PK guys setting there peds on risk. As soon they got a tiny loot the tp out. It is very rare i have seen any loot from a pk in pvp they are often empty.

Maybe you should just join the event and show EU how good you are when ppl shoot back with same gear as yourself by taking first place in the event. So why did i place this event here - simple as it is - to give those PK out there a chance to show how good they are fighting other PK guys and not just poor miners.

I don't see a solution that is going to make everyone happy with the current available options.

If you leave radar off I can see how it is very risky to hunt. I wouldn't hunt in there.

If you turn radar on, then groups can just dominate. I know this is why Hulk and his group want it on (be honest). But perhaps that is deserved as a reward for skill and organization.

I'm not sure what a good "middle" solution might be.

Sorry, i didnt told you that i was standing in ONE place with everything on high and high sound just waiting for miners to come?

And radar is going to change this how? A PK waiting with charged TP chip for someone to enter radar range was a common "tactic" back then. Radar range - 415-425m. A PK waiting in a tree now - visual range 200-250m (at max settings). Do you want to tell me that 200m detection range is "worse" for the potential victim than 415m? I hope you don't...

The pk guys just hate to have Any loot on them, thats why they want radar on when they Hunt mobs so they eighter Can kill them self or tp out when A gd shows up on radar.

Im probleby the one who created most fort events in this game.
I have asked alot of people to do some pk but no one wanted.

After MA did destory PvP i started to sell out PvP gear and did quit PK.

alot of miners mining pyrite = more pyrite on the market = lower mu = less profit for the miners

so radar will be good in pvp imo :wise:

They can just go to arkadia to get that - pvp is dead there

Not sure it works that way. The Next Island devs - for rare mats on Ancient Greece - said there was a quota that could be looted, and if it doesn't get used up by crafters the mats will "dry up". I should think pyrite has a quota, and if too many are mining it there will be less in the ground and more finds of lyst etc. The same result however, more people in there less profit.
