Why did you switch to Kadra!!?

Change of pace and folly. Kadra global a lot. My reasoning was that if I could hit 250 globals and hofs and finish the IFN challenge in June it would mean a payout of 6500 peds from the Sanctuary Cove challenge. But the returns were horrific and I bailed out on it. I will go back eventually and finish it because the challenge incentives are worth it, just when I have a much larger bank roll to ride out the bad loot periods.

SUMMARY - Big Saturday eeks me back over the 100% return mark thanks to a 1060 ped Provider and a 694 ped Old. Crossed the level 75 mark so close to 120k ped cycled to put on two damage levels. Igni went to tier 7 and got the hof so I'll update the first post with new dps and raw dpp. Things continue to progress much better than I ever would have anticipated so I continue shooting.

SUMMARY - shit few days. One barely plus run and four neg runs. Lone bright spot was rare loot #2, a TP III chip off a Feffox Young. Got up to #3 on tracker though trying to shoot my way through the bad loot period :). Tier 3 hof on Viceroy shins to go along with tier 3 hof on Viceroy arms. Fingers crossed things turn around again. I'll get depressed if my returns dip to 98% ;)

haven't had as much time to grind away lately and feffox went bad for real so started bouncing around. currently back on eviscerators with the only goal to loot another enigma :)

Your returns look fairly decent to be using a non-sib weapon.

"Chipping optimizer says the fastest way from point A to B would cost 22.774 peds to chip. My guess is that it'll take tt losses about twice what it would cost to chip to get there. Time will tell though."



I am rly curious i always chiped to reach some unlock though its much cheaper lets see how bad hunting till it is.

SUMMARY: Last Core Mayhem was abysmal and my tt return % here was plummeting so I sold all gear and determined to re-evaluate the way I play the game. So I decided to start from scratch so to speak and teach myself how to play much smarter than I have for the past near-decade. I used Rufen's thread (https://www.planetcalypsoforum.com/forums/showthread.php?273519-How-To-Survive!) as a template combined with what knowledge I've gathered on my own and knowing that I have an advantage of higher skills.

So, here goes THE CHON LOG

Mob has been young to old alpha kerberos. To keep progressing toward killstrike i decided to use the same weapon as Rufen was, the Ozpyn Chon S1X1, amped with Omegaton A101's. Each run is long enough to break the Chon. Last mob is finished with the tt pistol amped with the Sinkadus. Armor is Adjusted Musca unplated. Fap is an SI Heart. With small gear I don't think I can get much more eco. Defensive costs are 2.5-3 ped per run, offensive costs are 50 ped ammo and 38.5 decay. Great patience is required as this method has slowed skill progress to a snail's pace :) I started over like this on May 8th.

I'll run the Chon Log alongside Project Killstrike until I get hella bored of it :)

After 129 runs:

Ammo - 6479.78
Fap cost - 28.62
Armor - 352.64
Weapon - 4978.07

Overall costs - 11839.11

TT Return - 11793.58 (99.62%)

SUMMARY: It becomes very evident that the game knows exactly how much you are up or down at any given point and evens you out to the plus or minus. Every time i go up, and there has been a few cases of as much as +350 tt, a long dry spell begins that puts me to just under 100%. Then a 100+/- ped global pops and its back to the green. I'm forcing myself to squeeze every bit of markup I can from loots which is something I've never been good at. Stacking all loot as it is received until sellable stacks are accumulated seems like it only requires a bankroll of about 500 ped.

For the moment I'm finding this an entertaining way to creep toward killstrike so I'll keep it up for a bit. Given current levels of free time I should still hit level 80 dmg by the end of July. At that point may decide to step up to a bigger mob and see if current strategies and theories continue to be fruitful. Who knows?

Will start updating this thread more regularly now for those still paying attention :)

Every seven runs puts about .01 level on my laser dmg prof so I'm estimating kill strike around run #275.

The real surprising thing is that I'm still being entertained by shooting small to mid-level kerbs. I know me and I will eventually get fed up and go big and lose big. Just not yet :)

SUMMARY: When i started the tt value needed to chip from laser dmg 73 to 80 to unlock killstrike was 22.8k peds and I speculated that tt loss to hunt my way there would be roughly twice that. Returns were in the normal-ish range of 90% for the entire run with almost all weapons fired landing close to that 90% mark except the little ozpyn chon which is still around 99.5%. Overall tt lost during the log was 50738.21 peds.

i'll switch the chon log over to another thread for anyone who's interested to keep an eye on as it will still keep me entertained as i sell a bunch of stuff and rearrange gear and goals for the grind to 100/100.
