A limited number of Stable Estates will be made available on the Entropia Universe auction. These new estates will generate revenue through different channels, as described below.

As described in the Entropia universe roadmap published in the Buzz section, Pets will be released in Taming - stage 1 (autumn 2014) and the stables functionality in Taming - stage 2 later in 2014.

The stables will generate revenue for the stable managers by charging a small fee for services in the stables, for example, selling, trading and specialised training of pets. Stables will also be the hub for future Pet Battle Arenas and Controlled Creature Battle Octagons where all pet and creature activities will be held.

Stable managers can also earn PED by renting stalls to other avatars for their pets, and by providing specialised training only available at the stables. Stable managers provide housing and maintenance for stabled avatar pets, including food and energy. Better care provided by the stables will result in faster pet progress and better performance in competitions.

In addition, stables will have the ability to be upgraded with shopping booths, additional stalls, teleporters, terminals, visual additions and other unique features.

The Stables will be placed in strategic positions on each planet. Each planet will have the chance to auction these exciting and fun additions to the Entropia Universe starting on July 1 2014, with starting bids of 20000 PED.

Number of Stable Estates per Planet:
Planet Calypso - 6 stables in 6 locations
Planet Arkadia - 3 stables in 3 locations
Rocktropia - 2 stables in 2 locations
Planet Cyrene - 1 stable
Planet Toulan - 1 stable
Next Island - 1 stable

The stable estates will be implemented into Entropia Universe later in 2014.

I'm curious what having taming skills is for now, seeing you have to pay someone to be able to skill specialized things, i presumed high skills would of allowed specialised things.

Guess we shall see.

My prediction-

Much like what happened to tailors when they introduced "Texturing", you will be screwed and need to grind an entirely new set of skills.

No way I can buy that lol.

Who gets the money from selling it, MA or the PP?

EDIT: maybe only 1 stable per planet for maximum revenue?

I know this game is not always perfect and MA not always as professional as they should be but seems to me all there ever is on this site is negativity.

If you are not interested don't buy and keep quiet !!

or if you are sad, lonely depressives in a stinky apartment, get <removed> a life !!

It's a forum, people make comments, some good some bad some indifferent and then like yours basically useless and nothing to do with the thread, where as all the others are.

Zy, sorry. What I see more than for a last year - it's economy degradation here. And now this brilliant circus?

Of course it will be cool if it will boost at least _something_. I just don't see how. At all.

My first thought upon reading the headline was "are they promising that estate areas won't crash anymore?". Shows pretty well how much I'm interested in taming and all that.

So a SB of 20000Ped. Hmmm, obviously the Calypso ones will be the most expensive, but what are we looking at here 50000, 100000Ped??

my concer is what will hape to the people who have the ped deeds? will be able to use them still or are they just something MA just screwed us all out of yet again?

I don't really care for taming, but i guess its a good sign for those who do, cant be that far off if they are introducing estates to support the proffesion.

Let's not hop into conclusions, as we are still speaking of MindArk.

So we can bid on them but can't see them until later in the year. Will the actual locations be given or are those secret too? This all reminds me of the Malls and Pawn Shops and we know how successful most of those turned out to be.

Personally I really dislike the Battle Arenas idea using pets and find it quite distasteful. Yes, I know it's only a game but I still don't like it.

I'm also a getting a little concerned as a high skilled tamer what I'm actually going to be able to do once taming is eventually back in game. I assumed that the higher the skill the more things would be available to train pets to do and then sell them to people not have to go to a stable and pay them to do it :( Oh well, will just have to wait and see what happens.

Not necessarily. Their current plans are for this year but what if there are bugs or other delays. Looking at past record could slow down development especially now since mexico office is closed i.e less staff.

I'd like one :)

You would think that wouldn't you. Why would players who are very high lvl in taming and pet handling have to go to someone who probably isn't to get specialized training done and have to pay them to do it :)

I guess we will see, maybe we are to negative at times, maybe MA will surprise us and not shaft us.

Either way i agree Nadie.

Generally I think positively about EU but this sale just leaves too many questions and doubts.

Let me compare this to CLDs sale.
I't over 2.5 years since CLDs were released and none of promised CLD's 'coming perks' are available (Land Grab) with some explicitly said that they were scrapped (voting rights). Not to mention that despite game growing revenue from CLDs dives nose down.

Same thing with Hangar owners who still can't land on Planets and had their investment diluted by new Motherships.

So how this Stable thing can go and how will it actually go?
It's hard to expect high sale price without even look into that, not to mention with no guarantees like in case of CLDs and Hangars.

It is rather odd the Estate sales are announced before we have any details on how taming will work. It would be even more odd if the estates were on sale before we had taming back... While we may know what teh differences are, we don't know what the magnitude of those effects are nor how much any of that would be used.

I also feel like tt-ing all of the fruit i have, as there has been zero mention of how pets are fed (if they are).

epic picture and exciting news.. let's see what this will bring to EU!
