so I picked up the quest to kill 100 Shinkiba/Daikiba but Im having trouble finding kills. The first area I tried had too many hard ones mixed in. Same for the second place. The Shinkiba were mostly young but there were high agro !!!! machines mixed in with them. Finally I ported back to Icarus and I found a large spawn of Daikiba north of there but none of them gave me any credit for killing them even though the quest says kill Daikiba. I even found old pictures of people hunting the same mobs, wrote down their coordinates, but when I get to the spot there is nothing in sight even though his map was all red dots.

Where do you go to find things to kill? After 2 hours I have 1 kill and Im starting to get pissed off.

1) Did you try here? https://www.planetcalypsoforum.com/gallery/showimage.php?i=268317

2) And here? https://www.planetcalypsoforum.com/forums/showthread.php?210890-Shinkiba-Wave-events

I haven't been able to get into playing for awhile but I remember #1 being a good spot to goto for a medium sized spawn and little-to-no "aggresive" mobs that "attack" you from noplace.

they have recently changed around the low mobs (daiki included) and have introduced 'juvenile' ones, which for some stupid reason dont count.

NW of Icarus left of the road to Nus Lull outpost, used to be a decent Dai spawn.
Since l'm on RT for a while idk if that spawn still exist,
but as I can see what others claim about, that's changed also.
Does Entropedia been updated with these changes?

I went to both of the above locations and nothing.

Also I found those Daikiba spawns. I killed around a dozen and got ZERO credit towards the quest.

Is the entire game screwed up or just lowbie spawns?

I'm not sure where you can find good spaws of these mobs naturally. But there is a wave event for daikibas at (55424, 64024).

If you don't have the Odysseus Landing TP you will need to get with a VTOL or something similar. I would not recommend swimming all the way :silly2:
In case you need help getting there either send me a PM here or in game.

There are small Shinkiba east of Fort Medusa (young to mature, mixed with Snablesnot-Male mostly young) and south-west of Rogue Plains across the stream (young to old, mixed with Combibo young to old).

Both spawns are sparse enough to pick what you want; that however also means they're not suitable for speed grinding.

Both spawns were there less than two weeks ago. :)

the HELL is with the juveniles that pissed me off

Go west of Port Atlantis.

So much rage. Relax, drink, watch some porn if you must, and relax.

There are low level shinkibas west of twin peaks. That is where I used to do the smalls. There is a wave spawn up to l11 I think nearby as well.

Well the guy is right, was roaming around PA few days ago, looking for exas to skill a whip... Found none.
Thought ok, if there's no more exas maybe some other mobs with similar HP?
Puny's? too low HP.
Juveniles? Almost, but still a bit too low, and there's like one per square km anyway.

Large empty areas with no red dots on radar.
More large empty areas with 1-2 red dots on radar.

Wtf, unbelievable! Got really curious, how bad can it be?

Ended up roaming all the way around PA from areas up North to East. Found one spawn of Tripudions with a decent respawn rate S of Othros (near the forest fires area), and that's it. The whole area is fraked up now.

Remember the abundance of daikibas, exas, combibos east of old (VU9) PA?
Endless herds, hundreds of mobs all around you, a noob hunter's paradise!

Takes a special talent to frak up something so bad...

is it only the low level areas that seem to be ghostlands? I remember when I first tried this game like 8 years ago it seemed like low level mobs were everywhere. I remember just having red dots everywhere I ran. I remember getting so mad I couldnt get TPs because mob density was so thick I couldnt take 10 steps without being swarmed. Now when I was flying around getting TPs i swear sometimes I would fly for like 30 seconds without a red dot and when I found something it was like 2-3 dots then back to nothing.
