It has been a very long time since i wrote my last log and i became somewhat lazy in logging my results. So in order to keep me motivated to log more and also to analyze returns with my Melee setup i am going to create a hunting log again. There won't be many runs in the beginning, but i plan the log as a long term project,let's see how many PEDs i can turn over with my setup.

I hope i can achieve nice results and show that you can achieve something with only relatively cheap mid level gear. ( Gun + Amp + Blade + Melee Amp < 5000 PED ). However i might switch to the Ranked Combat knife once maxed.

Gear being used:

weapon:
RAW-101 + A105 ( tagging ) - 25.00 dps 2.853 dpp
Ozpyn RSBS1X2 + Melee Trauma Amp IV - 38.65 dps 2.941 dpp
(Ranked Combat Knife + Melee Trauma Amp IV - 54.33 dps 2.926 dpp )

FAP:
Adjusted Hedoc Mayhem T1 + Med Enhancer 28.4 heal/sec 9.27 heal/pec - combat fap
Fanoos Medical V1 (L) - 5.05 heal / sec 180.25 heal/pec - heal between mobs

Profession levels:
Knifefighter(Hit) 33
Knifefighter(dmg) 36
Paramedic 27
Evader 31
Health 160

Goals:
- Max Ranked Combat knife ( lvl 38 according to entropedia )
- 165 HP

I haven't decided yet which mobs to hunt. I have a decent range of armor available ( Pixie, Pixie adj, Shogun, Kobold, Hunter, Vigilante, Gremlin, Ghost + Varoius platings). I thought about Allo/Esto or Feff, but i am not sure yet.

All suggestions for mobs are welcome.

Comments:
Nothing special so far. Loot could have been better - no globals, almost TT food. Although the defense cost are okay i have the feeling i can optimize my setup a bit. Hope the next run will be better. So far not urgent to optimize, just for loot to improve. only thing that makes me wonder to stay here is the low MU so far.

The SIB on your Ranked Combat Knife will be maxed at 38/38... not level 40

Your Attack Per Min will be maxed 67/67 at about 38.70

Thx for the info. The info in entropedia shows actually 2 numbers 38 for hit and 40 for dmg. I guess only hit was corrected after the default value was entered earlier.

Comments:
Tried 4c Plates instead of 5b. Feels better yet not optimal, will try 6b next, then i will decide either to take 4c or 6b. Loot sucked, still low returns no globals or anything worth MU. At the moment i think these won't become my favourite mobs.

Thanks for your suggestion. With 920 hp i expect an even higher volatility than with Esto/Allo, therefor for now i would not want a higher hp mob.

Comments:
Did this run with 6b plates. Not much of a difference, though hunting feels a bit better. Looking at the numbers it is a minimal difference of ~2 PED per 1000 PED spend, and hard to say from 1 run if the reason is because i was more swarmed, so i think the difference is neglectable in favour for the more comfortable hunting. Still defensive decay below 2% although i am using a Melee setup.

What puzzles me is the constant <70% return i get at them at the moment, so probably a good time to change mob and just keep the learnings of the setup. Still no globals, and hardly any markup to justify hunting them. Finished the 500 Mission and i think i will leave these nasty buggers for now.
 
Thanks for posting and I hope for better returns in the near future. Crazy cause I did small run on Allo/Eso a week or so ago and was shocked at how well they were looting. It's wack like that though - hunt all week and miss the one day something is good. who knows.
 
4th run - Allo / Esto

Well i decided to stay on them at least for a few more runs, but even after the loot changes not much MU in them, but i will add the runs of the last months nevertheless. Not that i have been that much active lately.

Well nothing changed the overall trend it seems... I guess i finish the 1k and move on. As a sidenote, it seems i f***ed something up with the fap decay, as this one is exceptionally high and the run before very low, but i leave it as it is.

Best run so far, but overall is still not much better. No special drops so far. Anyway i ditched the Fanoos, as the inconvinience of remapping them all the time is hardly worth the saved PEDs. So i just use the Adj. Mayhem now.

When the 1k is finished i think i will step down to a smaller mob. I will have a close loot at entropedia. So on this mob 400 left.

I'm at around 6k/10k, doing young->prowler N of limnadian. Let me tell ya, loots come in swings but it's generally poor returns on them.

Thanks for your comment, yes that is also my impression on them. The pity is, MU doesn't make up for it.
 
I'm sorry to see you've been having some bad runs. I hope you hit a big HoF while wrapping up the mission!

Just out of curiosity, how much PED does the average mob require to kill, and how many of them are you killing/run?

With a few exception the average run is 100 mobs, so you can easily calculate the average. But Estophyl have more hp than Allo, current missioncounter is 310A/390E Thanks for your good wishes

look like the loot system still worked as the time I was off...... (I used to get back around 60% spending after burning 300ped for hunting)
