Sorry to be a hater, but ... . when is concept art much of a Bulletin? And sorry artist, I'm not excited or impressed.

Can we have taming or some of the other things outlined in the dev. notes??
 
This is quite bad. Editing and cropping a screen shot, and then scribbling green lines in some places is questionable art, and highly lazy.

This does nothing for me in terms of motivation or interest...at all. I would not click anything with that image when looking for entertainment.

If this is the effort you put into the concepts, I am going to hate to see the result.

Let me change the caption.

tbh in general when ever I see concept art it looks nothing like the finished thing in the game. Either because it's rendered with way more polygons than the finished version or it's so small in game that you lose all the detail.

I used keep an eye on mods for certain games and you'd see so much concept art, too much for many of them, that they appear to have spent almost all the dev time on the visuals replicating every little detail of a weapon that they completely forgot to make it fun to play.

A lot of the EU concept art we saw for the new planets never appeared or was seriously downgraded to allow people to play without lagging all the time.

This is not EU - this is a new game from the same developer nothing more.
Even the developer sold shares of it within EU.
 
Voting for topic change to forgos suggestion. Mods c'mon!!

This is going to fail so hard that it will beat rocktropia or next island in failing and that's quite an achievement!

Is this gold or beta?

you should release it on steam just as jpeg there are enough people not taking their meds that will think it's animated
 
ok keep it coming with the updates MA, I'd rather have something than nothing.

What is the point of the post? Are you fishing for ideas or already have your own?

I still have faith that once this browser game is here it has the potential to be a huge success, although I like to hear more. Around $150K of deeds sold now, which is no small amount to get something going. Small developers would welcome such money with open arms.

Do you have separate staff working on it?
What is your plan and timeframe to bring this game to market? Be realistic, are we only at art stage?
Do you have art of the surroundings our pets and avatars are walking around in.
Have you outsourced this project or in-house?

What's is the game? I envisage a player walking their pet around viewing computer activated opponents on pedestals, then looking at stats and deciding if to take that pet on in a fight at a cost (much like deciding if to take on a mob in EU). Then both spawn into a public small arena to fight (prob 20 or so viewable arena) like a judo competition or something like that with other players able to watch and consider fighting a pet too.

With added option of PVP fights, or is this intended for stables or both stables and compets?

Even if not fighting I assume some type of pet training and confidence building, what is the plan with that?

What's the deal with skills? Does the player gets skills, and the pet have their own skills? Both would seem sensible, especially if we are intending to sell pets too. Or is MA only looking to sell "shell" pets, freshly tamed? Pets with skills offers huge income stream for those prepared to pay for an advanced pet.

I'd like to hear some thoughts from MA, and input from players what they would like to see with this game. I'd say to the negative that some players have spent a lot of money supporting this project so far, so please give those players respect so they feel comfortable to post here and give support. Because I feel many investors are scared off from posting. someone has bought $150K of deed.

I have bought a decent amount of deeds, but I do not feel comfortable about investing more, until I can see some real evidence that MA are taking this seriously, and reporting to an investor base more professionally.

You need to lift your game MA, this is a wake up call, not just for compet but for EU as well. If you don't see it, you are truly out of touch with the current climate. I'd rather be honest with you, than beat around the bush.

It would be like asking Volkswagen if they can advertise Porsche in their magazine, while knowing they own the Porsche. Does this answer you question.

It is a part of Entropia universe, and it would be also like asking to close all threads talking about game features, because it is available on every planet and not only on Planet Calypso.

And that the thread was created by BerthaBot - so picked up from an RSS feed off the Entropia Universe website (http://www.entropiauniverse.com/bulletin/buzz/2014/09/05/ComPet-Bulletin--4.xml)?

You seriously think that the other members of this forum don't want to be informed of newsfeeds posted on the main game website? :eyecrazy:

And to answer your final question - obviously, your app can have a thread in this section just as soon as you convince MA to post news about it on the EU website .. :laugh:

The art team has an order, to post their "progress" or "creations" (if one can call what we see - progress) once every 2 weeks.

As they dont do anything all days long, but roam around the interwebz - they have nothing to show for their time spent....

Unless...

Every 2 weeks a different person is elected in the morning - amongst the "art" team - to make the pic that they will post - but wait, thats not all!!


Ofcorse, to make it fun they make competitions like - you must make the pic;

- before the coffee machine is done brewing coffee...or...
- you have to make the pic before Jimmy here is finished with sharpening these pencils...or....
- make the pic before Jimmy can pick off everything from the inside of his nose and eat it...(and yes, Jimmy is pro in it)...or....
- make the pic before Simmonds finds out we put viagra in his morning coffee...or....

Well, you get the point.

This is it, gentlemen - there must not be any different explanation as if this was actual REAL concept art - its a fucking disaster!

A fucking 10 year old with photoshop could do MUCCHHH better in 30 minutes using some net tutorial

That is what this art work looks like. Player cards for something like Dungeons and Dragons.:laugh:

Exact this is what i expected

They self said it is not connected to EU - and only because they use her own platform for there advertising it means they can abuse the forum rules and it is allowed here too.

Rules are made to find ways to expand them and if necessary to change them - nothing new here and one ore reason so many ppl don't like to write or read here any more.

Sometimes hard to follow between the forum rules, and Serica's rules
(Where the abuse of power leads to lack of democracy and honnesty.
Some people need more time to learn and improve).
