Yep you guessed it! Another whining thread. I have to do it - gotta do something.

I took nearly 1 month off the game - longest time ever since I started playing years ago. I went pretty hard during migration and just found other games to keep me entertained for a while. They get boring fast - or don't keep me like EU does. So since it had been almost 2 months since my last deposit - I decided to give it a go.
Main reason was to try the new loot system - and that I can buy ammo packs. Buying these saves you the fee they take from deposits - and you get little extra in form of H-DNA and auto-loot pills.
I still had a gun (LC-60) but no peds or ammo. I bought $50 dollar ammo pack and deposited $35 to do armor repairs, A105 repair, and buy a fap (UR125(L) not full TT)

Here is approx. what I did: 100 Atrax mission, 50 Kreltin mission, killed a handfull of Bots - attackers, defenders, some big atrox (20-30 kills maybe), did some Hoggolo (about 250 points worth), A Team hunt on Feffox (resulted in a 800 ped hof of which I got approx 250 peds) and I think that is mostly it. I then hunted more Aurli doing about 2 small runs (no more than 30-40 kills each time)

Now: I have 50 peds approx, 60 peds worth of ammo approx, about 45TT of my UR125 (even fapped someone for decay), armor is decayed back to where it was pre-repair, A105 is decayed, I bought another LC-60 as mine decayed - and it was maybe 180 TT, and it's down to like 40TT.

Quick add: 50+60+45+40=195. Because this isn't pec for pec accounted I'll go and up my new value of 225 peds.
So in just 2 days I had $85 in deposit (845 peds approx) and now I have 225 = a loss of over 600 peds in 2 days.

Not the end of the world you say? Not that big of a deal? Get in line you say? Small sample size you say?
I say it's BULLSHIT.
I take a month off the game - come back and drop 85 bucks and I have nearly scraps left in TWO DAYS!!

Tell me.... why would I want to continue to play? I LOVE LOVE LOVE this game. But I can't just spend that kind of money left and right on a game. This experience has happened to me many times over - with that much lasting 2 days or so. So what? My new playing style is spend 80 dollars a month and play for 6-8 hours a month and that's it? F-that.

I am reaching out for support, kind words, or agreement in this bull crap experience.
I have emptied the crap outta my storage - I'd be willing to post my full inventory if anyone is curious.
Just posted my Beast on auction, vehicle weapons, even TTed some crappy (L) BPs to get like 2 peds.

I love this game - but wtf. I don't want to be an idiot. At that much money - I might as well go back to gambling or some other bad things for me that I would blow that much money on daily. Terrible use of my time, money, and energy.

*Sigh* Ok I feel a little better..... this is my pre-selling out thread...

Imagine losing that in 30min, it's a vicious circle, but in the end it's up to the player if he/she wants to deposit and play but has to keep in mind a loss isn't that hard to imagine.
 
I have always been critical of MA´s way of conducting business and what not, but blaming MA for being ******, well that beats me.

You kinda have to blame MA because they are behind this game, the experience one expects should be allot more then what u get these days.
 
It's easy to blame MA, despite the fact the player base demand is probably the real reason they are stuck with this system.

I lost a lot during migration, and have not really logged on since.

I was however playing out of my Deposit limit.

Think I will go back to killing low level stuff, that should keep my 1500peds, oh for about another hour.

Well maybe the OP hasn't hunted wisely, still 600 out of 850 ped loss in 2 days is a lot whichever way you cut it. As Ma balance loot i guess there is nobody else but Ma to sound off against for the OP.

Anyways hope things even out.
 
I've been playing the game since 2007 and can understand what the OP is going through, there have been allot of changes to the game not all beneficial for the player, 100ped ammo in 2007 is now worth maybe 20ped ammo in 2014?

If you don't want to risk losing that much, hunt smaller stuff. On an 800 ped budget you should be hunting mobs that are 500 hp max, and more like 200 hp for most stable returns.

Aurli: min hp 1530
Feffox: min hp 1400
Hogglo: min hp 2000
Big atrox: 2000 hp
Kreltin: min hp 2390

No mystery here, your returns are normal for this kind of gamble hunting. Of what you hunted, only Atrax small to medium is in your budget (well maybe the bots, not sure what hp those were).

I have not tracked my loot last few vu. but when I did i got way bigger swings on CP mobs and the hp he showed. I could easily be down 1k ped tt in a day. I am one that would have to say to small of a sample size. Not saying he is wrong or right. Just hunting big on small runs always seemed like a gamble to me.

Sorry to say it Davin, but I have to agree with Neil here. Seen it plenty of times.

Have a bunch of guys in my soc who are not so active for this reason. Their choice is to hunt stuff WAY above their skill and more relevantly, budget level.

They accept it and are not as active as they maybe would like to be, but Freja and I have hammered it into their heads enough that they HOPEFULLY understand why, and it's a conscious choice they make.
 
Sorry for your bad streak, hope your are at the end of a low curve and everything starts to climb up from now on.
 
My Opallo sga+a101 turned over more than 2 k ped in last 2 weeks...so a few K creatures killed... my account is down -47 ped tt wise atm* , if I sell my collected stuff I will be very close to break even ...I find this game very affordable if you stay lowlevel


* sold a bit markup stuff already so no return over 97 % for me
 
Mate the only thing I dare try with 1 k ped in my ped card is hunt foul :/

I know that what others say is true: you need a hell of a BIG ped card to be able to hunt bigger mobs BUT I also know it's not supposed to be normal!

Needing 10 k ped on pedcard to be able to cycle aurli is way too much. It discourages 99% of players from hunting.

Until MA changes it: TT weapons and small mobs if they don't bore you too much..
 
It's true you have to adjust when going for certain mobs due to hp, but the hp increasement over the years is the main factor i think due to less gameplay especially if the returns are low.

Lets take Atrox (low maturity) for example, 100ped ammo u could kill 100 troxes in 2007, now 30/40 for same 100ped ammo.
 
Great great responses so far! Thank you all. I agree I can hunt smaller, and have been told that before. I can't believe though that those mobs I listed should be considered gamble mobs. I'm on Bronze Atrox, trying new Hog mission, did Feffox in a team at least... I'm lvl 72 laser and 197 HP. I agree- I could hunt smaller mobs, but then there is the flaw that others have said before too.... why am I skilling up to hunt smaller stuff. At this HP I should be hunting Hoggolo and big Atrox IMO.
 
I grinded corn N of Argus for at least half a year, argonauts probably 1 year or so, drones well over a year and so on. The only thing I complained about was the joint pain (can´t remember the proper medical term) as this was all be4 the auto-click function. Get the picture? Needless to say even Mindark posted a buzz feed concerning economy. Feels like the TV programs they have in Sweden with people spending well over what they bring in a month and when asked how they added it up, they don´t know, then they are showed crates of junk food, designer clothes and what not.

Heard an old farmer on economy, "I buy something when I can afford two". Any questions?

My reply has to be the cost to kill has gone up hence the reduced kills one gets which results in less returns.

Most likely goes out for most if not all mobs out there.

What I mean by gamble hunting is if you're not able to kill 500 or so of them with what's on your pedcard. Not that they are "gamble mobs" in and of themselves (if you have big enough budget). Though of course big mobs will always be more risky to hunt than small mobs.

And btw I personally do agree with your gripe, it would be nice if we could hunt higher HP mobs with a smaller ped card, meaning a higher TT return per non-multiplier mob, or more frequent low multipliers.

So what we all want are:
decent TT return even without globals
lots of globals
lots of hofs
frequent uber hofs

It sounds impossible but it is possible if MA takes makes some effort to design the system right. I think of the mining loot system when I first started playing a few years ago. 70% return without globals, 2-4 globals every 1000 ped cycled, 300+ ped hofs every couple thousand ped cycled. I never got an uber claim under that system, but everyday mining was much more enjoyable than it is now. Hunting is no different. They just need to tweak the system... problem is of course no matter what they do, next day there's someone complaining about the change.

Think you missed the point, kill 100 trox in 2007 get loot from 100 trox, kill 40 trox in 2014 get loot of 40 trox, which do u think would have resulted in more loot tt wise, nvm the globs/hofs.
 
Just to remind you guys how it was back in 2005:
You hunt aurlis all day long with about 5-7k in rifle (with impmk2 though), you lose 20 ped,
OMGOMG MA ARE CROOKS, IVE LOST $2 JUST IN 16 HOURS.
Most ubers will feel the same for you, because impmk2+armax/longu/tantardion = untold profits.
It is how you boil a frog.

Skills ain't your problem, peds seem to be :(
I make sure i have enough peds so i can play for at least week when my normal turnover. If i turnover my ped card in a day, I feel like gambling too much.

Cost to kill 100 trox v.2007= 100 ped or so

cost to kill 40 trox v.2014= 100 ped or so

question? only difference I see is more kill bonus.

not according swedish law.
I´ve played for over 7 years without depositing and ZERO WITHDRAWALS. hit/dmg on main prof 85/83. Would that be possible in a casino?
