Question: FAP by self or hire Fapper??

Does anyone test on Fap by self or hire fapper is better??

FAP by self can skilling but you will lose more armor decay

So what do you think??
 
I only hire a fapper if I really need it,Para skills are too important,especially for a non chipper.
 
the chance of getting some armor decay back in loot is much higher than give peds to a fapper in a pvp trade.


So i think armor decay is better than a paid fapper unless its only paid for decay.
 
Depends on mob.
If it hits often and hard, its better to hire FAPer, so you don´t need to stop shooting.
Especially on fast regen mobs, its better to have a FAPer.
 
Always self for many reasons:

Skills - more defense, medic and combat skills.

Decay - I am a believer in uneco, I use emt 2900 fap (also have hedoc mayhem, I still use 2900) and it has served me well. Decay comes back in skill gains and loot. Higher decay = more benefit gained for the time.

Tiering - I prefer to tier my faps on my own as they become quite powerful with tiers. Same with Armor.

Loot share - I tend to not team hunt due to how I believe the mechanics of loot work. I would rather not sacrifice my corrective runs to be split with others who are not on corrective runs.

Lag/Timing - My guns and my fap are chosen so that I can beat mob attack rate and never be stuck waiting with a gun or the fap.
This is a pretty tight thing to manage within the attack rate as it is on my own, let alone someone else who with many of the mobs I hunt, ideally would never hit me twice between a fap.
If they can hit me twice, then the armor and guns and total investment in gear, which I carefully calculated for effectiveness for how I hunt those kinds of mobs, is defeated.


That's me though. I have thought about it many times how much easier it might be with a fapper, and then I think I will miss the skills, and regret it later.
 
It's more economical to hire a fapper if you're hunting at the edge of--or above--your skill level (depending on their fees of course). It also makes your hunts faster and less frustrating.

Armor decay is not returned in loot (I have yet to see any solid evidence that armor decay is anything more than peds lost). However, armor is often more economical than the typical FAP, so you have to look at the actual costs of what you're hunting. Paramedic skills are very cheap to buy at least at low levels, cheaper to buy than to skill up naturally yourself, in fact. For an economical hunt, typically you should be able to kill the mob without having to fap while it is attacking. So there's time between mobs to heal yourself.

Other than that, you may find it more fun to hunt with a fapper. There are plenty of newer medics who will heal for free (you pay them for their tool decay) using an herb box or SI heart. Always tip your medic if they're good and attentive (not all are!).

I only hire a Mod Fap for very big mobs, like Dasps or Falx Stalkers. That is only because its hard to have proper protection armor-wise against either since they do such a large amount of one (or mostly one) damage type. I have 63 impact protection but those big impact mobs do a lot more. Falx don't hit me too often, but on the off chance that I get hit twice in a row, I'd like to have that Mod Fap on my back.

Otherwise, I find it easier just to FAP myself, especially if its a mob that I can take 5-6 hits from without any worry of dying.

Mobs I can easily hunt which I have been doing lately just to grind down some missions I don't use a fapper.

If I hunt mobs around or above my skill level and armor protection I hire a noob fapper or form a team to go hunting.

Only on rare occasion have I hired a big healer to hunt way outside my range just to finish some missions.
 
By self. If I can't kill it solo I don't hunt it.

I'd rather get the skills for myself than pay someone else to get them :)
 
For an average player like myself, I think it's close to impossible to loot enough markup per hour to cover what the fapper asks. When I owned an imp fap, and had a friend fap me for decay only, it was hard enough to break even, let alone paying 2x-3x times that per hour. And, as another person said, I think a portion of armor decay is returned: so I'd rather the system record armor decay on my account than gives those peds to another account. I don't think paying a fapper is ever economic, although it may appear so on paper. Plus, I like to hunt at a leisurely pace, and not feel like every second counts; which is the case if I am paying an hourly medic rate.
