Instead of just buying a shell again i decided to build my own computer/desk.
Made a few rough sketches with Sketchup love that program.
Does require a bit of effort but who doesn't like that. :)

That one looks great for sure, will reap some idea's from there, the extra room for the keyboard/mouse is awesome.

And the sliding, pure droollss :)

Will add that sliding to my desk too, won't have to raise the top side to access the pc, and if not mistaken i see that picture contains 2 pc's side by side, which is another great idea i will implement. :)

I think it needs another Display Screen but apart from that looks cool. Have you found where to buy it or is it custom make?

Uber cool ideas. I am wondering how it will look when it will be finished :)

Funny thing is that I have one their cases (mid tower) from 2001ish and paid 450.00 back then. I didn't realize they made desks like these, until I found this one.

It's from Lian Li
Here is a vid about it
Here is the web site with all of the specs: http://www.lian-li.com/en/dt_portfolio/dk-02/

i believe you need to contact them for a price. :)

Looks awesome, but don't tip your coffee on that when not fully closed ;p

I've been thinking about desk like this but I imagine those projects restrict user legs too much. Anyway, think about putting some extra power outlets on sides, it always comes handy.

There is one hardware review site I love to look at. Have seen some awesome custom builds on it over the years.you can check it out for yourself. http://www.guru3d.com/articles-categories/guru3d-rig-of-the-month.html

One of my all time favorites was from July 2011. http://www.guru3d.com/articles-pages/guru3d-rig-of-the-month-july-2011,1.html just an awesome looking build.

Good luck with your project.

Some very nice looking projects there indeed, and the July 2011 looks awesome, i am most likely going to go for aluminium instead of wood.
