I had kept my log on PCF in the past, then took an extended break from the game to focus on law school priorities... I was welcomed back with some nice hits, so I'm back at it again. This log will be simple.. TT Spent, TT Returned, and the %. Bringing this log back for fun/test of return of the more volatile mining system in last january..

I mine for ores only 98% of the time (this helps me from kicking my screen through the window if I were to ever hit an oil tower) with varying finders based on resources being hunted. Basic re-104 extractor, mostly unamped, possibly lvl 2 or lvl 5 amps... I rarely mine with anything higher.
Based on my finances and frequent deposits I can tell I don't reach 90% TT return. With the markup I mine I should be swimming in profit. So the goal of this log is to prove to myself that 90% TT-return can be achieved in the long run.

Edit: Goal of this log now is to show how every player can get uber profitzz and switch to mining in order to kill markup entirely... and to tower, because I've never towered :smoke:

No swirlies over two tiny globals since early december.. this is beginning to concern me, haven't gone this long without some hof/global help since I started mining :scratch2:

....and markup has gone to shit, as many on forums have already pointed out. May be time to hunt like 98% of eu.

So... Long delay after some RL stuff had to take priority. I'll update the log more regularly now. I'm currently mining enmatter in specific locations because ore markups have gone to TT-trash.

Here's the last couple of weeks when I could log on:

TT spent: 4482.13
TT Returned: 3630.53

Profit/Loss to date after markup: -390.27

These runs were the worst to date. Level 5 enmatter only. 127% markup average. Just terrible results.

Found a truck load of cave sap and devil's tail. Markup for the run was near 135%.. At least I mitigated the shitty TT returns for once. 1752 drops since my last global.

Once again nothing of note. Markup is decent, just not enough to save me from being stuck at 75% tt returns... Mining has been very very boring lately. One small global in the last 10 days. For the amount I cycle I expect a few more swirlies. :banghead:

By far the worst run I have experienced since last winter. It's runs like this that made me stop playing for 9 months. Heading to Arkadia to hopefully give myself some change. I've never gone over 10k bombs without getting a kickback hof.. so here's to hoping the next 24 hours get me the tower I need.

Markups on both hofs were garbage, most of other loot was TT-trash duru and garcen grease. Found some cave sap, kanerium, and redulite which saved me some markup.
It seems that when I go for enmatter alone I global/hof less.. wonder why.

Specifically was going after azzurdite for the higher markup (now dropping) and hit exactly what I came for!

Late at night in the states (or early in the morning), has never proven to be a good time to mine, but I couldn't sleep.. Poor results as expected. Pretty nice markup though!

I'll start doing longer runs now, or stringing them together, should make for more dramatic posts and less pages filled with run-logging. Screenshots of every uber, assuming I get one.

Goal of this log is going to change, I've never towered in 3 years of mining, so my goal now is to tower (without big amps/foma gambling). I don't mine for TT-trash so tower is very unlikely, but one can hope!

Guess my HOF contest! Where contestants will guess the size of the HOF (in ped).. The closest to the ped amount wins 20 ped!

u wonder that after 11k drops? :D
I tracked over 60k drops and was at 80% return (79.xxxx). That being said it would go to 90% if i were to keep dropping

I think 86% is good enough - Im actually sitting at 87%.
Looking at your overall profit, it seems, you know where to find markup and that counts :)

With this incredible average markup if you reach 90% TT return (TTR) you will be king :) Don't get discouraged, don't chase big hits too, just do you mining as you like it and makes you happy and Lootius will smile upon you one day.
I will soon reach 10k drops and I am almost 90% TTR and here is what works for me. And to note that I am not exactly a true believer of this "myth/fact/nonsense" 90% TTR. So basically my TTR suffer a lot when I mine areas with high MU and when I consider them to be overmined, especially when I use amps. So my solution is exchanging the MU for the TTR. It's not close to a perfect solution, but keep me from big losses, and my "personal happiness bar" is more full than when I see a lot of NRFs and my TTR after a run barely go over 60%.

I forgot to add in the drops for the recent 4k run... Fixed now, sorry for the mix up :eyecrazy:

I am fortunate to be in the green... And I think if I were to hit a hof over 1k for a change then my returns would even out to 90%... I'm beginning to think that the jump from 85% to 90% is reliant on the "big" hofs... As I'm a firm believer EU is a paramutual/lottery hybrid gambling system

Notes: Finally!! Was mining late at night, around 3 am my time, drunk, half-asleep, hit rate was god awful, sitting somewhere around 30% after 150 drops... but I didn't care. Then BOOM! I hit my 2.6k Niksarium hof (thought it was 266 at first), and then on the next drop I hit a 792 Niksarium hof.. I had never mined this area before, was just updating my maps, but I'm glad I went there. :yay:

This might harm my average markup a bit, as I sold it for only 112.50%... and I need 113.62% to break even with amp costs, but markup is still okay..

Notes: Boring mining, until the last run.. XIX magerian, the only swirls I've had since my double-nik hof run.

Mage is basically TT-trash now, as are most things I hof on, but when I'm not hoffing I'm averaging 125-135% markup lately, so I can handle the tt-trash hofs.

I'm also surprised I'm able to continue any sort of profitable mining with the current state of mining markups, I'm not typically enjoying my mining experiences because of this.. I'm really limited to 2-3 areas in EU where I can mine up any profit. Lately I find myself skipping out on ores entirely..

Cleaned out my redulite stocks from last month, sold it today for almost double what it was worth in february, so I made a nice tidy 250 extra ped there as well...

Notes: Almost every global I had was ignisium, then I hof'd 898 ped on ignisium as well.. Sold it for 121%, now markup in hell is even crashing..

I'm still doing well, just not as well as I'm used to markup-wise..
