I literally just read the article and was about to post it here but i see Ive been beaten to it :p
 
The comments are getting better though.

There's always one peanut in the gallery but a lot more seem to 'get it' compared to past news stories.

Doesnt help when the author of the article is clueless and calls them 'ridiculous' sales as well.
 
My father used to get angry with me for playing 'stupid games' when I could have been out making money until I sat him down one day with a calculator and showed him just how much money a certain game by Blizzard makes in a year. You should have seen his face.....:D
 
I am surprised at the quality of most of the comments on that article.
 
I didn't find the writer's comments offensive like most of the commenters. It seemed to me that he was just introducing the concept of real world value of in-game items to people who had never heard of the concept before.
