Testing the whining theory.

Dear MA,

I have been playing Entropia for 3 years and deposited not an inconsiderable amount of money into this "game" I am extremely disappointed in my loot returns that never seem to even out at the magical 90% mark. As a result of this very bad return, I have decided to stop playing EU and sell out all my skills and items.

On top of this it is also my RL Birthday today so I have decided to go home after work and sink a final 1000 ped into the game.

If by the end of the day I have not received an ATH that compensates me for the last 3 years deposits then I will be ceasing to play this game for ever more.

Hit a 360 PED hof with the II earlier. That is like killing a berycled juvenile in terms of cost. Go mention that in "the other thread".....

If your not evening out at "around" 90% you are doing something wrong, and expecting to be compensated actually pisses me off, please dont let the door hit you on the way out.

The return from the system is 100% based on math, if you do enough looting attempts, with resonable enough economical thinking, you will get a long term avg of 90% or close.

If you dont get this, its because of one or a combination of the following things.

1. You cant calculate properly.

2. You treat EU as a casino.

3. You somehow count loss of MU in items as part of the "wtf i cant get 90%" calculation.

4. You think 90% return means you will still have 90% of your deposit after 3 years....

Hit me with logic, please.

Ive never hit a nice multi on my birthday, its simply because the system dont know or care about whos birthday it is, but people have a tendency to think that just cause they hit big on their birthday, but the forget the fact that the only day that year they did a effort to go big and gamble was on their birthday, and as a strike of statistics, they got lucky.

Alot of people dont get good loot on their birthday, because system dont care.
 
and oh, since i got myself started.

Anyone who dont belive in 90%, buy an archons sword and log 5k kills on argo young-adult, while keeping defense cost below 2%

let me know the result if its below 90%, i wont hear from you.

System works as intended.

Even though it is not April 1st - this is not serious - everyone else who posted here seems to realise this. It is now the next day and I can confirm that after extensive testing - (a whole 4 hours run) the whining test does not work - on top of that I can also confirm that there is no RL birthday multipler

LOL - no I was being untruthful about leaving the only video game I have ever played for more than 5 days

That makes sense, there is no other game with the multitude of challenge as EU present :)
 
and the hard tone before was because there are actually a good number of players who really think the system is to blame for their not doing things right.

Played PE/EU since april 2003 and I'm faaar away from 90%, but... as u said I treat the game as casinò time to time; when i had the patience to kill 16k argo with the archon in adj pixie or naked i got around 115% mu included (did it after "iron nerf loot"), about the same with molisk, but at that time molisk's buttons MU were around 380/400 %

If i don't mistake u had to go to Arkadia after "whining post": a nice gun was waiting for u hehehe
 
Reference the gun - an avatar called Elayne offered it for sale in trade last evening "Herman Ark Smuggler Prototype" with stats only rivaled by the Marco Special. I reckon this must belong to David as I can't see it ever being available to the player base.


I tried to PM the avatar but they had gone offline immediately after posting, so I presume it was an item the avatar had copied a link for and pretended to be selling, although MA, I will rescind my original statement about leaving the game if I go to Ark and it drops from a Tiarak young.

To the moderators, you can close this thread now as I have completed the test

Go look for my hunting log, last 100k
Details are in the google doc... maxed i287+106 used
Didn't even get 90% after including looted mu.. hence why I'm not playing for almost a year now

Cant say the shared loot hunts in wich you got 50-60% tt return can be considered doing it right.

Id say you do quite some gambling, wich can explain "only" getting 87% tt.
 
start counting after the shared loot.. I know that was a gamble (hence switch up everything hoping for a change)
TT cycled = 114062.2 ped
TT return = 101061.8 ped (88.6%)
TT+mu return = 105422 ped (92.34%)

Not even close to 90% & sorry to say but 90% TT return for a maxed user (3.059 dpp) SUCKS
Should be between 93 & 95%

I dont want you to be upset but 100k peds turnover is not that big sample :D
make it 200k you will have better results I bet with you because the multiplier for your hof will go higher.

Even though this is getting way off topic. Counting a small section of your eu career of cycling is going to give mixed results. I am one of a few that has kept track since the first hunt I ever did.

TT in: 938399

TT back: 863672.72

92.04%

Thankfully I have squeezed a lot of mark up out and profited from cycling even though my goal is just to cycle for free.

Just to give some numbers..my last +3000 ped TT loot was 3760 globals ago & since MA stated clearly that there is no personal lootpool...

Anyway back to topic.. never had good loot on my bday :D
 
Just furthering the test - adding a post to prove that you don't get a giant HOF from posting on a quitting thread ;):silly2:
 
calculate for atleast 1 year and u will see u have better returns than u think.

i can cycle 100k and have bad return one month and good another.

i dont trust anyone who say his avg loot is less than 90%, but at short period of time u can have less than 90% yes


I did play many years and never had a ATH, dont expect u will ever get one, if u ever do, be happy! :)

RTFM!!! :D

1. U need start seling out thread
2. U need fill support case pointing MA emplyee to that thread
3. U need wait till next patch/fix/tuesday server reset to make those changes apply

U really think MA will do this under such blackmail in public ? You screwed this already, but try....there was few ATH's after such , maybe not all is lost :D

Holy shit. The OP went totally over your head. Also, I'm certain that game developers love when some sanctimonious douche player tells other players to not let the door hit them on the way out.
