With the State of the Universe Address 2015 looming, many will be hoping for certain updates and fixes this year. Why not post what you are hoping for and lets see what we get.

For me I would like 2015 to bring;
1. Major space update with new ships, warp gates, interesting features to space, mining, non PvP hunting grounds etc

2. CLDs and land rights

3. Tidy up Next Island

4. Adjust skills so that a skill level has some bearing on what you can and cant do. Such as a level 5 Captain can't fly a mothership, where as a level 50 captain can.
If you max a blueprint in crafting, your success rate is better than 35%

5. Introduce more pet functions.
Ie: Fetching loot, attack modes to help when hunting, help with mining, flying, riding etc

6. Finally, fix Polished Chrome Texture.

Smal LA u can buy for 1000-2000 ped.
Another PVP zone lootable with NO NEARBY friends
More pets alternative, like mini hogglos
Nearby fiends / Set team target OFF at little and big oilrig
More blueprints with ores / enmatter, not like explosive. Destroying the market
More stuff to craft. Like stuff for the pets
Events for low skilled people
Unlimited amps droped more often
Landgrabs for medium players

and

Mining events MINING EVENTS :yup::yup::yup:

Weather

Improved MOB AI

Increased quest functions

Society revamp

Maybe strike Next Island with a comet.

In this case we need different classes of capital ships, rather than two, because it seems to me that such a level in the profession will be more expensive than the ship itself.

1. Agreed, needs a big update, ms transoprt missions, ms pvp? Remove nearby POS bug, add craftable ship detection device ;)

My extra ones:

Remove stupid nearby filter in pvp make it realistic

More craftable stuff, torches, weapon attachmments, nvg's, shift equipment towards craftable hunting gear(not gonna hapen) nerf the fuck of explo bps(not gonna happen)

Either rollback or SORT OUT this completely shit message UI interface! It still such a pathetic mess that is a disgrace! :laugh:

My one and only desire is more mindforce chips. Plenty people are sitting on skills that aren't getting used, we need bigger chips (and some variety would be nice too, MA have dumped the buff chips and I want them back)

For me it is more the question. What would make me come back and play?

- Events that could help make societies more important. With an improved search function for the terminals.
- Land Grabs for people that can't spend dolla on the best gear. (linked with next)
- More functionality for low/med players, we can progress, but the gear and skills to do so is fucking impossible for some of us.
- UL mining gear that is actually worth buying.
- Remove the distance between planets, make them shorter, remove motherships for now until there is a reason to have them.
- Events, simple events run each week by the planet partners.
- Simplify the god dam weapons.

- REMOVE SHRAPNEL AND AMMO IN LOOT!!!! or just switch it for straight out peds again.

- stop noobs or people that seem like noobs getting huge HOFS. or tell us how the system works better.

Yeah.

- More communication
- An asteroid hit a planet which name I shall not speak
- Special areas where one can hunt using vehicle weaponry

This list is very good, and probably represents a majority of EU in their wishes for changes/updates.
I would also like to see something added to the mining loot system. Hunters can loot guns, armors, faps, ESIs, etc... Crafters can loot bps, residue, new item discoveries... mining just has ores/enmatters, with the occasional hansidian/angelic... it just gets boring a repetitive. I wish I had some suggestions of loots to add, but almost all would ruin the crafting market so there's that. (and no treasure hunting does not count because treasure has garbage markup).

And for the love of god... give crafters a reason to craft equipment and usable sh*t over TT garbage EP. (gamblers will be gamblers however).

A lot of stuff i read here i don't care a lot about, so i just know there will be a lot of new stuff that doesn't affect me much.

What i hope for this year is:

-New functionality for the pets (get's a bit boring at level 15 with nothing to look for)
-Compets (to be totally honest: mainly for a laugh though)
-Hard launch of cyrene
-A new mission chain on calypso (those three islands a few years ago which lead to the husssk were awesome, i want something like that again)
-something new and unexpected that introduces a new skillset
-an ingame minigame (ok totally unrealistic, but wanted that since i started playing 10 years ago).
 
like to see mining go back to the way it was in 2009...I won't even play the way it is now...I worked hard for my skills and spend ALOT of TIME in entropia skilling up NOT chipping in and got rewarded with just shit claims now...Bring back the way mining was from 2006 to 2009...Mining is not fun anymore!!!!!

2006-2009 mining was based on the principle of server loot payout.. where the payout in pure TT return was 100%... all MA took was decay on tools. That's not the case anymore, and we'll never have that again unfortunately. MA needs to make money, So a system where they take 5% off the top and the other 1-5% purely from decay is what we have now.. hence 90% return theory.

I too would love this, but it's just unrealistic, you could even profit TT-wise by just making sure the server you were in was hot, and not mining otherwise. Likewise with hunting when tons of players would hunt the same mob at once because that mob was paying out. Now we have some sort of a balancing mechanism in place with mining to give us 75-80% TT return and then a form of paramutual wagering-style lottery which is funded by the 10-15% missing from 90%. At least this is what I observe when I take away abnormally large hofs.. the 200-500 ped hofs seem to be more of a balancing mechanism to mitigate the 60-65% returns otherwise.

In other words.... 90% return = get lucky often.
 
With the news that Sony has sold off SoE (Planetside, Everquest, etc) to Columbus Nova I'd like to see Mindark sell Entropia Universe to CCP.

Something tells me selling Entropia would be an extremely complicated exchange.. Considering MA is its own bank, and there's a bunch of gambling legal mumbojumbo associated with this game.

I would like to know where you get your inside info on this..Did MA tell you this ? Are you working for them so you know for sure? I thought we weren't supposed to know the loot system
 
Vehicles stop working, space travel is via teleporter, shared loot is only allowed for uber-boss mobs, societies can develop semi-persistent perks and capital resources through looted items, etc., chained professions are introduced for some new specialty area effect chips and weapons and defensive buffs (chained professions have only a few skills that are available outside the profession and unlock at higher levels so that you only reach uber levels in them by direct use, not by shared skills), alternative ways of reaching uber damage levels with investment (time and/or money), etc.

I also feel that I would like to see some new type of unexpected "system" to bring some new features to the game. But I think we will only see improvement and developments of the Pets and the new space mission system, and I guess that need too.

Here's a question though... you pay 100k for a MS and are lvl 2 cap.... why would you have to spend more Ped ? to use the item you spent 10k usd for?

If you're willing spend $10k on a MS then you've probably got the ped to buy some implants.
 
Wishlist 2015

* Fix Clothing bugs and removal of equip fee
Make buffs on cloths available and optional. If cloths are buffed they decay. Remove the effect that cloths look bad on low TT for (L) cloths. Buffs only available for (L) cloths , high level colours and textures = stronger buffs.
Buffs should increase eco so it make sense to use them.

* more stuff to loot from mobs to upgrade existing gear

* relasing compet game

* more passive income investment opportunities

* rework for minopolis to make it the beautiful landscape it once used to be

It's casino gambling theories/systems.. The only way MA could get away with have a RCE game like this which basically consists of gambling, is for it to be paramutual wagering, in which the players' input of $ influences the payout. Much like horse racing for that matter where the house takes their cut (5-10%) and the rest is returned to the "pool" to be paid to the winners at specific odds that are determined independent of both parties.. for example:

total $ in bets = 100k
House take: = 5k
Pool left to players = 95k

Assuming odds remain constant and betting behaviors do not change, one would expect to get 95% of their overall bets back.... in the very very very long term. Assuming a variety of conditions mentioned above remain constant. If the system was more "lottery draw style" the players' input still influences the jackpot payout, but the random dependent variable of the "number draw" is introduced, where there is no guaranteed payout to the players such as in horse racing. If no one gets the jackpot = house (lottery agency/state/etc..) takes all. This would make EU illegal.

Sound a little familiar? This is what make Entropia legal. If the betting was funding "slot style" like many in EU seem to think, the US government would have probably deemed it illegal and I (living in the US) would not be playing right now. This is also why people observe the mythical 90% TT return. If we weren't dealing with a paramutual system there would be no observed long-term return, unless personal loot pools exist, which MA has said many times that they do not.

This is why there is no "secret" to the "loot system" or even a loot system itself for that matter, which is why MA describes it as "random and dynamic".

This is also why people "claim" to observe bad loots before/after ATH.

Sitting used to work for a small period of time, but now my avatar gets ready to sit, but doesn't actually sit.

This may seem unimportant, but it actually makes a huge difference. Being able to chill gives a new dimension to gameplay.
 
The CLD benefits which were promised, other than the payouts (which I am happy about, mind you!)

I want my voting rights (and votes)
I want my influence on how the Planet is run
I want my land rights, my land, my house.
 
As I am the über nub in Entropia.

1. More usage for sweat. Could be small things like part of a lubrication to squeeze out some more kph from our vehicle. Be part of more crafting just as with the changes to MF really screwed sweating over, I guess that also was the plan to limit the usage of sweat and force more depo, (still think that had a more effect of getting ppl to leave than gain new players).

2. Planet "budget travel", I know for most this is a easy thing etc, but would appriciate a low cost long time kind of option where the "poor" people can use when switching planets etc. Even make them "work of their travel cost" or something similar. Do this this this and that and this and then you get a free ride to Arkadia.

3. More "random created" missions. These should be random, low reward etc that don't cost that much to do and so forth. But I like the feel that the world is interactive. "Oh noes, we got invaded by this and that mob here, help clear some fast!" "Gosh my darn it, I was so busy leaving my house that I left this and that behind. Go get it" You go get the item, you can chose to "steal it", but consequence.... You get a bounty on hour head etc. Make the world more interactive, make your actions actually affect more what happens around you. You a bad bad boy / girl? Well, stay away from the bounty hunter npc-s! Are you a weak nub like myself, maybe should not enter that trading post filled with lean mean ruffians that charge when they see orange.

4. Competitions!!!! Target shooting, travel to points a b c d e etc and be the first one back! Find this hidden item, its somewhere here! Get the heart pounding and add some thrills. I know you can player create etc, but would be nice with more game mechanics to support it.

5. WAR! This is something I would love... Factions that are in war. You pick a side, you join in... Don't ask for pardon, as none will be given! Your force wins and you contributed a lot, they of course thank you for your service and dedication with some goodies. Do nothing and gain nothing.
