Recent intelligence indicates that the robots may have located another RX cache on Eudoria. Activity in the Hadesheim Crater indicates that the robots are currently preparing a major excavation, which gives us little time to prepare a proper response.

The teleportation pods used to enter the Core previously have been in secure storage since the last expedition, safely out of range of any potential self-destruct trigger signals. The robots had found ways to circumvent our jammers, but Sgt. Quintana reassures me that his team at Minopolis has been able to upgrade the jamming devices in such a way that they should provide at least a few days of access to the Core once again.

Since time is short, CDF staff will require assistance to accomplish the necessary objectives in time to prevent robot access to the RX caches. Once again, we turn to the brave colonists of Calypso for assistance. Similar to earlier campaigns, rewards are being offered by the CDF for the salvage of Robot Data Storage Units from the Core.

The DSU recovery effort will begin on Friday, February 27. Brave colonists wishing the enlist in the effort should report to Sgt. Quintana’s EST dropship located in Minopolis.

Good luck out there!
/Brig. General de Sousa

There are also reports of several powerful Warlock-class robot bosses inside The Core. Colonists are urged to be prepared for aggressive new offensive tactics from these augmented Warlocks.

Scoring
The following point system has been created to track the retrieval of Robot Data Storage Units (DSU):
  • Robot DSU Class 1 (1 point)
  • Robot DSU Class 2 (5 points)
  • Robot DSU Class 3 (10 points)
  • Robot DSU Class 4 (20 points)
  • Robot DSU Class 5 (50 points)
  • Robot DSU Class 6 (100 points)
  • Robot DSU Class 7 (500 points)
  • Robot DSU Class 8 (1000 points)
  • Robot DSU Class 9 (5000 points)
Your event score will be updated automatically each time one of the Data Storage Units is recovered.

Final event scores will be calculated based on hourly point averages to derive each participant's 15-hour normalized event score.

This scoring method removes the need for participants to track time spent in the instances (beyond meeting the 15-hour prize eligibility requirement, described below), removes the risk of participants being inadvertently disqualified from the event for time reasons, and allows all participants to hunt as much as desired in the Robot Mayhem instances without giving an unfair advantage to those who are able to hunt for many hours.

Rewards
The colonists accumulating the highest number of points during the event period will be awarded the following rewards by Earth Shock Trooper command:
  • 1st Place - CDF XTLC 1000
  • 2nd Place - CDF XTLC 800
  • 3rd Place - CDF XTLC 600
  • 4th Place - CDF XTLC 400

  • 7th Place - Universal Ammo - 3000 PED
  • 8th Place - Universal Ammo - 2000 PED
  • 9th Place - Universal Ammo - 1000 PED
  • 10th Place - Universal Ammo - 500 PED

***IMPORTANT*** A participant must complete at least 15 hours in the Robot Mayhem instances in order to qualify for one of the above rewards. This requirement does not apply to the Bonus Rewards.

OMG THAT ECO :eyecrazy::eyecrazy::eyecrazy::eyecrazy:

Edit:

Probably 4.15*0.75*0.9 = 2.8 eco

OMG THAT ECO :eyecrazy::eyecrazy::eyecrazy::eyecrazy:

probably calculated on max damage and not on average like we are used to.

for example my Arcspark has an eco of 4.166666 if calculated that way.

Cool nice!

Thanks for crashing the markup of old guns. Yay finally imk2 for tt -5ped!! :yay:

Holy shit... New era of weapons?

I am sure eco is calulated based on max damage. Effective damage on those guns is around 2.87dmg/pec then.

Someone knows how to calc real dpp by the provided data?

max dpp * .75 (average dmg) * .91 (or whatever your hit and crit hit calculations add up to) = real dpp

Open your arms to the new era and stop living in the past :yay:

PS: i was just thinking about the last robot mayhem this morning as i was taking a nap, loving the cohincidence.

Good luck y'all

uhh ohh i just noticed the most useful thing there!!!

So Eco does matter

Also, 1st time MA posted actual Eco values for a weapon = means something

They actually said in one dev note better eco = better 'experience' long term

Nice, atleast we know when the next VU will be

...because after VU in TT and in loot will be placed weapons with eco 5+

I want to ask, they are going to make a weapon that when fired will not consume but will produce ammo? :yay:
Eco = 10+ and more....

It's old school eco And dps.

Oldschool eco and i recon they have OLDschool dps as well.

Of course :) - did you not count how eco they are on paper/calculator?

Also all info in Amps section on entropedia is calulated in same way (or if you "Serach" for weapon). For example A204 improved has ~3.21dmg/pec (effective) and NOT 4.64.

But the eco of weapons in "weapons section" or "weapon comapre" are already calulated as effective eco.

Just to clarify -- the listed DPS and economy figures for the prizes are based on maximum damage values, as some of the veteran players have already pointed out. I have added a note to the announcement to make this clear.

Seems as very nice prices (new stuff are fun) and few hours enough to keep it allmost pure luck. Meet you there Im looking forward to this!!

YAWN... how long did you need to put this together? The full 15 minutes?
You guys REALLY don't get it, do you?
Even just changing trhe name of the event & leaving mayhem out of it changes stuff...
Well at least there's 1 good thing about 'recent' changes... the 101% MU on crapnel won't drop any lower :D
Let me know when you plan to change things.. I just might bother enough to buy ammo

Thank you.

So after all your support for WoF up to now, you chose to do this on the weekend that, for most of the remaining teams, is the most important yet?

Incase you didn't notice.. EL hunting is down 900k peds this week... do I need to say more? :broke:

Guns most likely have 20 or 40 attacks/min :). Based on this you can figure out max dmg and what amps fit them.
