To gamblers in Entropia. Don't waste Your money!!!

The resource list was given out well in advance. Wouldn't a smart miner mine for other resources and store the effected resources until price recovers?

A smart one with big bankroll, yes maybe!

The normal miner, needs to sell his ores/enmatters fast to do another run, smaller bankroll.

Normal miner sell his resources for normal prices. It's seldom means fast. Usually it takes a few or several days.

Average TT return is ~90%.

I still don't buy this figure people keep stating it is more like 75-80%, yes I tracked myself over close to two years of very active grinding hunting and mining and this mythical 90% is total BS. I get anywhere from 30% returns on runs to 400+% returns on runs, very rare larger run return, usually but never did it ever average me out at close to 90%.

If you mean 90% if you started and was an active player since early 2000's that maybe the case but 2010 to today that 90% just does not compute. Early days was good returns for people, from what I heard, not so much since VU10 which is when I started, it has always been a struggle to even maintain 20% loss from my deposits, and yes I do run eco as I can without having to purchase 1-10k usd guns and armor.

To resellers: if you sell for more than 102 percent, you are an evil bad economy killer and not a playa. Get out of da game now as you are wastin yer time and ourz

The question I haven't seen being asked is...how does OP "know" that gamblers are killing economy? Everyone's shared their thoughts, pro/anti gambler, but the question I would ask is how exactly is the gambler ruining everything?

I see a balance, and in the years I've spent spending in this game, that balance is still there. Example: If you mine for gazz, and want to turn over ped the quickest, you're going to sell for BO or undercut the lowest sale on auction. If gazz is a hot item, it'll sell quick, and you can go on to play more. If it doesn't, then you lower your price till it does. This doesn't mean that gazz is going to drop to 101%. It just means that someone with a little business sense sees that the average MU is set, and the gamblers are willing to sell for 5% less. Ok, put an order. In this case, gamblers get to cycle ped, resellers provide a service and make a few ped, price of gazz is stable.

Stop saying that gamblers are killing economy. A vast percentage of gamers are gamblers, or semi-gamblers, and that, my friend, is what keeps EU running. Are you really that blind to see that the gamblers are the lifeblood of EU? If everyone played "smart" like you suggest what would happen? The price of this game would go up to compensate for the high priced goods on the market.

I'd reconsider your argument.

Hopefully they adjust explosive bps soon. It is a giant elephant in the room.

funny shit ppl dont want the gambler and wen MA make a park for them ppl cry gambler not paying markup on ther loot lol

If TT return is lower than 90% then use amplifiers is a totally absurd...

Hi.

I live in one of the most safe and easy to live in cities on earth.

And there are gambling dens all over my town. Everywhere.

Most people I know gamble.

And now you have decided EU is a danger zone?

I don't know where you live, but I bet you have not been outside your house in 5 days.

Funny shit ppl don't want to understand the problem.

It's not that people don't want gamblers, it's that now, gamblers don't have to participate in the economic flow by buying from the other professions.

IRL or in game, we all gamble.

It is essential to flow of the game. What you call gambling, we call risk.

You have to learn to be realistic about how you approach gaming, because it is foolish.

Then maybe gamblers should go to casino. In casino adrenaline boost will be much stronger. Several years ago this game was much more friendly to players.

You do understand that in 90% (or 95%) or any number under 100% it is impossible for all to break even.

Thats why you need gamblers, those who pay for most of the other players, otherwise amount of peds ingame would reduce with every cycle and markup would increase with every step.

At one point when everything ingame has 100k% markup if someone wants to withdraw he would need to find someone stupid enough to buy all that stuff at 100k%.

Gamblers are the best thing we could ever want. One heavy gambler is worth more than 10 average players.

I have posted two other posts in this thread with calculations where you can see that your theory of "Ideal gamestyle" is not sustainable.

And also if there are 100 ppl selling Lysterium ore on auction, surely someone will have to undercut others to sell it..
95% of times i place something on auction i undercut everyone else. Why? Because i want money for my goods, and not having to pay auction fee for 4-5 weeks just until everyone else have sold theirs. And you know what? 95% of the times my stuff get sold with first week. I am sure if you list your stuff at average markup (and plenty cheaper available on auctioN) you wont sell the stuff, as buyer doesnt care about that average, buyer wants cheapest possible.

I started playing in 2007 year. TT returns are similar now, but now is significantly more gamblers. Economy several years ago was much better.

You don't seem to get the point. TT return is not the topic here. Read through your own thread again and give it some more thought.

I think the problem is, Eco players are not benefiting from the "gamblers" as much as they did in the past, because of things like the Explosives BP. The "gamblers" are enjoying the lower MU prices to gamble, have fun and Hof, while the individuals who made a little PED off of them by MU are losing that MU, and it is becoming a bit bothersome for them.
As an individual who plays for fun not profit, and spends money in the game, "A Gambler"... I find this interesting, and I am curious to see what the future holds.

The problem? It is not that we gamble, that is a basic human instinct. the problem is you do not understand the problem, such that many more people don't share in the game.

That is my problem.

Gambling does not makes us animals and liable to be rampant nutjobs, but simply to enjoy an outlet for our emotions and desires.

Come sit with me in safe England:) we are gamblers all but all good people.

Like I imagine good people everywhere.
