I was shooting a kerbie young and noticed that his health was almost zero. I was on auto fire and had him selected and I happened to look down at my ammo count and it was going down but doing no damage then all of sudden the young died. This had happened before but when the lag hit my weapon kept shooting but using no ammo, now it appears that has changed. As long as the mob has a health bar it takes the ammo even though you can not kill it until lag stops. Keep an eye on this and save ammo. This has happen to me a few times but this was the first time I watched it very closely.
Nasty little by-product of lag.
