How to delete pictures from user gallery

How can I delete a picture from my gallery? I've tried it in both I.E. 10 and Google Chrome and can select the image to be deleted, and click "Yes" when I get the warning that the action cannot be undone...but after that, the picture is still right there, nothing has happened. No error message, no nothing.

Create new picture with text "Deleted" and upload it on place of your picture.
Cant delete pic but at least you can replace it.

Use the 'Report Image' function, and a mod will take care of it.

Yep, mods are the only ones with true "delete pic" ability.
