I wonder if I am one of most unlucky avatars out there?
I'll not even mention big HoFs or nice items but just opening Classified Boxes.

After opening 1000 boxes I did not got unlimited ring, any.
I know number of people who opened fraction of what I did and got several, including good ones.

So where is my carrot? How MA want me to buy more?

And one of worst ever boxes I got:

stop opening boxes. You don't sit at a casino a keep clicking despite the incessant losing only to have someone sit down next to you and hit the progressive...

strongboxes = slot machines

That being said... anything over 500 boxes without a UL ring is pretty remarkable to me.
Your money would have bee better spent at a RL casino, or mining with big amps or something like that.

Hmm, I think MA are guys with humor. You can begin to shoot into the sky ;)

Does this matter? You can TT the fireworks.

1250 boxes so far, no UL

1400 boxes 1 cooper pet no UL rings :( but haven't tried lately since the drop rate has raised it seems

Ok so it seems I'm third most unlucky ;)
I only got 2 or 3 Whiskers pet, no Cooper as well.

unbelieveable ... I opened 3 boxes and got 17 unlimited rings, all perfected ! So unfair for you !

:eyecrazy::eyecrazy::eyecrazy::eyecrazy:

i wouldn't expect an UL ring with 1k boxes, and if i did, i wouldn't expect to get a rare hof when looting one.

Cheaper to buy an uL ring ingame than buying 2k boxes :D

You didn't cycle enough! :laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh:

more than 1k boxes here, 0 rare finds (not even pets).. But Cant complain, it made me deposit some peds over long time again, and gave me some universal ammo to enjoy hunting again.

Unlucky would have been, if you looted 9 UL rings all under 1k markup and tt´ed them all. So not worth getting them back.

But you get a lot of ammo and buffs that can be used or sold. It's not like everything is lost if you don't loot rings. I think I'm at 500 without a ring now but I think I'll give up ^^

After 2750 boxes I didn't get any UL rings or rare pets but I don't consider my avatar unlucky. I just made a mistake of buying those boxes over 3 weeks, instead of opening them all at once within first hours after the release of the boxes.

Wow, you force me to redefine unlucky.

Still, it suck even at 1k boxes. 2750 is just crazy.

Talk to lunchbox about how much he has opened and not getting a ring and then come back and tell us if you think your avatar is unlucky or not.

Boom you got outwined

Opening xxxx amounts of boxes without an unlimited ring does indeed sound very unlucky to me.

Obviously this is late advice but if you do plan to open any more, I'd do them in 50-100 bursts and do them on different days / times. Not sure whether it matters whether on website or in-game, try both if you haven't already?

I've no idea if it helps, but then again until I visited Cyrene I'd never seen loot waves operating in such an obvious manner.

I wish anyone who hasn't obtained a UL ring yet good luck, and who knows, maybe the HOF (unique ring) will go to you.

:)

As Items usually comes in waves in Entropia you should only buy boxes when wave is "on"

Furthermore I personally expect a heavy deopsiter gets more "luck" then a heavy withdrawer, but that is just a feeling :silly2:

Not sure if I am on top of the most unlucky list
The day the rings were launched I looted a Mod ares and a Imp taming ring in the first 300 boxes.

Since them I opened another 4000 and not even a rare fucking pet.
If you want to talk about loot returns...You would be shocked.

Want to loot something nice or big?
1- create another avatar
2- name him/her something repeated Like " AAA AAb AAA" ( make sure it has at least 1 name twice
3- give him a bit of crafting skills for EXP bp 4
4 -Never depo!

It actually works the other way around!

I think everyone is mistaking the existence of a personal loot pool again...

and again we will go over that the server determines loot payouts, hofs, items, etc.... your personal avatar and history of loot has little to nothing to do with the loot. The system will pay back about 95% return and take 5% for decay, that's the way it has always been..

Some people have better loot swings with less down-times than others because they pay attention to timing and location when hunting/mining/crafting (some servers are hot while others aren't)

This is the way it has always been, so I would imagine if your first 100 boxes are trash then change location, planet, or just wait a few hours/days and try another 100 until the luck improves..

Continuing to do the same thing and expecting different results is the reason 99% of people complain about TT returns on this forum.

Fireworks? Oh my goodness, you are super lucky. Before the boxes came around you had to usually wait until a holiday event came up to get any of those, it might be a year or three before you got a chance. Party on.

;) :) :dunce:

No UL ring after 1000+ boxes here too..

You're not the only one

You seem to be very sure about this, so my testing with 5k to 8k amo every day, is wrong.
Or... did you just pull the 95% return number out of your hole?

/mod note/
Let's keep this topic to the Strongboxes, not try to expand it into relating them to loots from ingame professions and arguments about TT return, ok?
If you want to argue about ... ahem, politely discuss ... that, go do it in another thread.

Edit: just saw mod note.
