I really hate to ask, I have been looking for info,
but have yet to find out how these are used in texturing & coloring?

Mushrooms are used for the fap mission (ek-2350 and ek-2600 upgrade), shards are used to upgrade some Laser amps (A105, A204) and slimes are used to craft (not upgrade) some BLP amps (Cause and Evil).
