I think the people that put this stuff out for MA go to the same school as all politicians where they learn how to write/speak like that, I bet they even use the same hand gestures :laugh:
 
I actually happen to believe that they did have more participation. In fact, I know they did. Does not mean they had more turnover. The UA bonuses had a lot to do with that.
 
they should have took my advice and kept the rules the same as last year, with a non-payout on sunday to deeds and now the top prizes paying out so high vs what these ppl spent to get them caly devs/MA going to hurt for a bit.

i predict a whole new rules layout for next merry mayhem:laugh:

Two weeks had no payout, unless you count 0.02 Ped as a payout.

Yeah and 2 more weeks of payout at 1/2 of normal rate.

We can all agree that this years mayhem was horribly designed. Hopefully they learned what they needed to from it, and can incorporate those lessons into the next event.

On the CLD note all that UA has to be burned (hopefully most on caly) which will generate some decay for us holders before the next payout.

Not all events need to make a profit and I am happy to lose a week or two's CLD payouts if people had fun and had opportunities to partake and get something back this year.

I hate when people give the opinion of everyone like they correctly know what everyone is thinking. I thought this was one of the better events. Everyone had a chance to make some ped off it.

my opinion is that this MM was the best so far.Now everyone must shoot their UA finally, even traders, can you believe that? What is this game coming to? Traders must shoot, wow.
Also it seems that no more 70k UL items where ppl sell and withdraw it until next event, that's just outrageous, now all must shoot back into the economy, how rude.
This is no longer like in the old good days back in 2008, damn.
 
Seems like the community has spoken and the format of buying a win was unpopular. If the solo category is more contested then I think there would be a fair case for changing the format back in line with previous years.

Haha exacly... unless thats what everyone thinks everyone will do and then sell them instead. But then Again if thats what people think they will do, they will turn in points Again. Unless.....
 
The winners...

...didn't play. They bought the win. Its hardly an event at all except see who can collect the most points by buying them from other avatars, particularly at a discount because MA fucked up the event by allowing an exploit that tanked the point market for a week or two. What a joke. So I guess the strategy for next year is begin amassing PEDs on your card now to buy stars and stand on the sideline in Twin Peaks: "SELL YOUR STARS HERE! BUYING STARS CHEAP! GATHER ROUND!"

Today iam proud of the community.
First note none bought MAs crap armor when they tryed to scam their way into some easy profits and now this massive fail.
Hundreds of persons my self included didnt take part in their crap event rules and only doing the bonuses must have hit them were it hurts.

MA is truly gonna have to go back too the drawingboard now and try and make something not half-assed anymore since the customers cleary shown they are not paying for any junk anymore.

its firstly about luck on the loot, second about bankroll, and 3rd ma made it super easy if u have the bankroll this year, all other years you all complain, every year there are complaints, can't win shit, no rewards, etc etc.

i think bcos stars are tradable there is a lot of participation this year,
bcos even noobs who knew they cannot win can try to hunt for stars and sell them.
or try to gamble like i did :p

those of you who felt that this sucked ? well srsly gfys bcos obviously u are both too lazy and too poor and just want free things all your life...

i took a gamble with my ath and bought stars and i won, with sheer luck, i was already having doubts that i need atleast 500k pts .. but i already spent almost 70 k on the event... 60 k peds went to all the people i paid for the stars .. in other words. in my first position, i gave out 61k peds worth of prizes to close to 66 people at average of 18 pec per point ..

investment is investment , event on caly = profit or not, mistake or not ,, still an investment, if u don't like it.. sell your fking clds to someone else , YOU KNEW the risk, its not a guaranteed thing... 5 years .. already wtf are u still here if all you do is free stuff and then complain ?

This is exactly what the problem is with the game nowadays and people like you keep feeding it. Yeah you took a massive amount of peds 70k and gambled it in hope for what, like a 180% return (100k UA + 25 k ring) and risk losing it all, that is not sheer luck, it is sheer stupidity. Why risk total of 70 k peds for 100 k of untradeable ammo and be proud of it? Guess we "lazy and poor" people who just wants this to be a decent MMO RCE game should look elsewhere since this has become a online casino disguised as a RCE game.

This risky gambling behaviour is exactly what Mindark wants and tell me how this is not exactly like explosive crafting. Mindark wants us to just gamble money away with high risk, skills and tactics becomes more and more meaningless each day.

Gonna take you alot longer getting through that universal ammo then 100kped through the crafting machine ;)

Didn't take part this year but did anyone actually make any money from selling stars because way i see it, it kinda spread out the wealth but the down side to this is it screwed over high level players with high end gear and investments.

i wanted to share my experience about second place in this Mayhem FFA winning.

to be absolutely honest, in start of event me and linzey decided just grind event and put stars.

All time, from starting an event we shot and gathered stars together (team or solo), and combined our scores.

about 10k scores was form our friend David, that i wanted to thank him for support!

so, result of winning with 329k points was looted our self's and 10k was gifted and 0 was bought.

not talking about "uber dps" or something similar i wanted to clear that our dps was ~ 200, that can make 2-3 people with no stress.

all this event was doable to every Player of EU, so please do not complain .

If me and Linzey could win 2 place by shooting only 2 of us, i bet any team in any category could over beat us, if they wanted.

we chosen not to sell our scores 339x0.2 = 67.000 ped , but put and hope for winning.

in real life that 339k points was worth 0 peds, but others people like oxide made markups ~0.2 and gave chance for all other percipient's chance to profit.

Thank you - Mindark for making event that prizes was worth doing.
Thank you for people who bought points and made real hunt mu to other players
Thank you calypso for letting every player collected 10k points be rewarded for 2500 ped ammo.

i see loot table results in other thread and i doubt that "grinders" can complain since all who shot and got Stars, was payed by mu.


in my honest opinion i don't see how they can complain eather, since smart people sold cld for 2k and bought again for 1600 ped , that made most of them 400 ped per cld.

Did not claim any FFA rewards, but i saw how busy all the TPs were
Good change, not for caly's revenue with extreme generosity tho

if I dun feed it someone else will ... and you know what ... someone else will feed it , take the profit and run away ... I'm not at that stage yet so u better be glad...

everything you do is a gamble / trading is a gamble ... ppl who buy clds at 2000 thinking it will go up..
ppl who bought ores at 110 % thinking it will go up ...

ANY other mmos .... hunting is a gamble / any event or competition is a gamble / opening premium boxes is a gamble / only bcos it seldom tied to real money, you not making a big fuss out of it ..

bcos this game is RCE . you see it as a gamble .. why don't you see it as a trade ?

I deposited money , I lost , I deposit more money I got ath , I use ath to trade for stars , I submit stars in a raffle, I won bcos I manage to trade for more stars... I have good trading skills ... I'm more active , more people sell to me , the ffa mayhem is a score board for the smartest trader ... I won in the trade against other players ..
why you not see it this way ?

will u get the idea ..


you enter a game , you gamble with the rng ..
how many times can u roll a 6 and hit the mob without an evade
how many time can u evade the mob
how many loot the mob will drop


you want to play a game without gamble ?
u make new character
you lvl up every 2 seconds sharp .
you reach lvl 100 in 10 days .
you kill mobs and get same loot (no random stats like diablo bcos then its a rng = a gamble)
you have 100 loot all same stat ...
people deposit money (bcos its rce)
ppl pay u $1 per loot, its all the same, and eventually they will get it too... bcos its fixed ... not random
after 20 days ... 11 people in game all have same loot ...
so much for rce ... you stand in line with 11 people selling same loot for $1 each..
10 years later .. u still in line with 1 million people seeling same loot for $1 each ..
very interesting game... bcos its not a gamble . its steady and its fixed...

the game runs an event .... (note no gambling here = no rng )
hours spent in instance = number of points
100 people 100 hours 100 pts each
score board
1) 100 pt
2) 100 pt
3) 100 pt
4) 100 pt
5) 100 pt

winner goes to first place who came into the event at conclusion of the last microsecond to the 100 hour..
= whoever log in first = first .

this is a game u want to play ... by all means go find it.. I wish you luck .. don't play entropia not for you..
even the mob that tries to hit u in entropia is gambling ... either a evade or a hit ...

Congratz on those who took risk and turned in a kil bit more than 10k and got rewarded.

For once i feel like player complaint are not totaly fair.

If i was an average player that never got a chance to win event by myself, i would actually be happy to be able to get 5k ped of UA only by grinding, then being able to trade my remaining points.

Of course score board looks like shit, but we got hundreds of players that all got a 5k ammo free and sold ffa points too. 5k ped was a top 5 prize in cat 4 a few year before, and hundreds of players got it this year.

Only bad thing is mm spirit that is now gone.. huge team huntd and all.. But still, this version is good for the medium average players and im sure most of you made profit here.
