This is why people hate Explosive Crafting. Not so much because "removing it" will "fix the economy". But because it's indicative of a much, much larger issue. The progressive death of our economy, and the impending doom of our virtual universe.
isnt doing ep1 on quantity highly unprofitable as every random return roll below 1 pec is a failed attempt thus resulting in roughly 60% returns? condition barely works though
no
[EDIT]: too few letters in post
It was argued somewhere that big EP isolated the gamblers from the rest and that this was actually a smart move. Well it also isolated every other group from each other by removing a big factor in their interdependency, and broke the bonds which were once carefully created. Now almost everybody gets to tt most of their produce instead of benefitting from a lively interchange. The deceptive auction market data only keeps an illusion -- deceptive because they take into account only successful sales and hide the countless expired auctions from public statistics.
It might be superficially rational if this way is better for the company coffers, taking the rake directly instead of indirectly. But it is also short-sighted. They are scavenging on the severed parts of the creature they once carefully raised. Although it is not the first time I've experienced a company started with enthusiasm going down that road.
Remove nanocubes and any other component for crafting (enhancers) from trade terminal and replace them with mining/hunting loot.
Signed Naming Policy Violation
Oh dear, do people actually know what they are asking here?
You remove nanocubes and replace with markup items. The ONLY thing that happens is people stop clicking them. That's it. They wont magically click something that requires stuff with markup.
When they were introduced, crafting went from 400k a week to 2-6million a week.....only because of EP's. Take that away and it will go back to 400k per week. Probably less, because of the abundance of unlimted weapons, and the abundance of limited guns in hunting loot.
The only reason people click EP's is because of tt materials.

B]If some couverments check out, about the ep crafting, im sure this game get banned into this countries. Here into Switzerland, it would not be allowed! It would be defined as a Casino![/B]
But you see also the other site? No more MU at any recources and hunt loot? Do you have a idea how to fix this?
One is clear, ep crafting is a slotmachine in a other grafical look. the only one profiting about this ep stuff, is only MA. Crafters should craft stuff for the game, and not usless TT stuff what also is killing the whole economy.
The 2-6 million per week, you mentioned, dont help to make the game better! it only benefit MA. So yes, i would love to go back to the 400K week, but stuff get MU back.
The game economy was never that bad, as since we have this freaking EP crafting.

I would agree unamped miners would benefit. But what about all the limited crafted guns that benefit from low metal residue? Its hard enough for those to compete?
If EPs went, then metal residue would rise, mining amps would rise in cost, people would amp less and ores/enmatters would increase in price.
But that would only benefit unamped miners. (as those that amp have already incurred most of the cost with the increase markup on amps)
I know that some would rise more than others, but i am pretty sure it would even it self out.
The biggest losers would be any other crafted item that requires metal residue that competes with the shed load of unlimited items out there.
For those worried about crafting being neglected; there are also plans in motion to reinvigorate the crafting profession
Nearing the end of the month! Hope to hear an update on this soon. But I wouldn't hold my breath... They would need to do some radical changes to put a dent in the current state of crafting.
the new attachment and weapon gizmos were a great idea.. and the new L guns are far superior to ANY looted L gun in game.
