On this day, the 20th of April 2016, I just got off the chipping optimizer with the perfect inspiration for another insane-length hunting log to focus my time in EU on.

Today I ticked over to level 50 Pyro Hit. I'm going to track until Intuition unlocks at level 80 Pyro Hit.

SETUP: Corrosive V TEN Edition, NeoPsion Kinetic Amplifier 4, naked, Adj Restoration chip, Augmented Ares. will be popping whatever skill pills I have in storage, at present its only 10% ones.
*Upgraded from Imp to Mod Ares starting with run #126*
*Upgraded from Mod to Aug Ares starting with run #256*
*Upgraded to NeoPsion Kinetic Amplifier 4 starting with run #543*

MOB: mid level Kerberos until my eyes bleed

START: Pyro (HIT) Level 50

CURRENT: 71.8613

PRIMARY GOAL: Pyro (HIT) Level 80

SECONDARY GOALS:

1) #1 Most kerb globals/#1 most kerb loot - Currently: #1 most loot/#1 most globals

2) Corro chip hits tier 10 - Currently: 8.3

3) Evader level 55, Quickness unlock - Currently: 53.6945

4) Biotropic level 50 - Currently: 48.7957

5) and, of course, the first 10k ped kerb recorded - Currently: 0 :)

6) and, even better, 5k kerb globals/HOFs for 200k peds - 3102 globals/HOFs for 138,679 peds

Will update progress every 8 runs or so, returns and skills. each run is around 720 ped total cost - 670 ped ammo breaks the chip, 50 in repairs. Chipping optimizer says these 30 levels would cost 60,200 ped to chip to in approximately the following amounts:

Pyrokinesis from 6507 to 11701, 3880 ped in chips
Concentration from 3936 to 5396, 135 ped in chips - ACCOMPLISHED
Power Catalyst from 4369 to 5409, 110 ped in chips - ACCOMPLISHED
Mindforce Harmony from 3504 to 4404, 50 ped in chips - ACCOMPLISHED
Force Merge from 1223 to 3463, 40 ped in chips - ACCOMPLISHED

Will start updating log every 11 runs instead of every 8. Progress has been made so I decided to check the chipping optimizer again to weigh gains and see what has changed. Chipping optimizer is telling me these 19 levels would cost 44,690 ped to chip in the following amounts:

Pyrokinesis from 7919 to 11648, 3237 ped in chips, 44,359 ped value
Bravado from 4363 to 4383, 3 ped in chips, 37 ped value - ACCOMPLISHED
Concentration from 4881 to 4981, 13 ped in chips, 275 ped value - ACCOMPLISHED
Power Catalyst from 5383 to 5403, 3 ped in chips, 37 ped value - ACCOMPLISHED

*** Starting March 5th, 2017 ***

Ticked to level 68. Chipping optimizer is telling me these 12 levels would cost 31,000 ped to chip in the following amounts:

Pyrokinesis from 8850 to 11279, 2263.93 ped in chips, 31,000 ped value

I think I can do much better than that in tt returns :)

Will update shortly and add all the crazy stuff i can think of while I get going.

Nice, using very similar Setup there as well kinda often. But cycling less/time. Nice to see some other numbers. I would recommend finisher for <Old like the Chon +A101. Or do you do almost afk hunting just pressing next mob? I do it almost like that just with finischer. Put all items and next target and autouse on Nr-block so i can relax with just left hand laying there :p

Im using mod2600 instead of adj resto chip and no imp ares, just L one.
Comparing deffcost im at 0,36% while you are at 0,13%. Doesnt look big difference at that low rate on both, but looking at how much you wanna cycle there, might be "huge" difference in the ende.

And gz to tier 6 hof! :D

Jurra Plateau is nothing but Domi and Alpha so only finisher is tt pistol with sinkadus if the chip breaks mid- final mob to finish it off and that is factored into corro repair. I do macro hunt so I just glance at screen from time to time to check healthbar.

Thank you for the gratz :) I have fun tiering the chip and pushing it higher even though I never use enhancers. Just a fun little side project. The chip is one of the favorite weapons I've ever owned. I had one a long time ago that I used to skill up to the Arson TEN chip and then sold it, figuring I'd never use it again. When I decided to break my game down and re-teach myself how to play better than I was, I constantly kicked myself for selling it. So when I had the chance to get this one with great TIR numbers in January I jumped at it and I couldn't be happier.

Will be back at it in a few hours and have numbers to update the thread at some point tomorrow.

I'm soldiering on assuming a possible 5k multiplier. a 10k ped loot not quite possible on a domi but possible on an alpha.

Its why I'm so mad that they removed old alphas and prowlers from the jurra spawn a month ago. That was where the real chance lay and it does make me contemplate a move back to osere so I can bump average maturity killed back up some.

Last few runs have all been back to positive so I'll cycle a bit before making any radical changes to the overall system. Nothing but domis and alphas does make for peaceful hunting.

Finally managed to get the chip to tick to 5.9 and got the tier 6 HOF on it. 5 positive runs vs 3 negative runs, was +250 until the last one and got killed, took me down to +60 for the cycle. Jumping right back in and will hit pyro level 51 at some point on the next 8 run cycle.

Should cross that it in the second run of the next cycle. Jumping right back in with fingers crossed the loot stays good.

Best of luck there my friend. You will get to lvl 80 faster than what you think. Would boost you even better if you add arso chip. Even on kerbs u could use without enhancers i think.

I would say you het MF skills 2x times faster than regular skills

prof levels have been going up significantly faster than i would have imagined or that i recall them raising while shooting lasers at a similar level. for the record though, not as much concerned about speed as i am hitting the primary goal with losses less than what it would have cost to chip to it. the kill strike log failed there as i lost about 45k peds grinding out what would have been a 22k ped chip in because i was trying to do it fast. if i was trying to just rush through i would absolutely use an arson chip and a bigger corrosive or combust chip on a bigger mob. i would also lose a ton most likely :) seems to be the pattern when my eco dips below 2.97 - peds go out much faster than they come in.

also, i am admittedly a lazy hunter. the reason i sold off my arson chip way back when was i don't like switching weapons. skills went up much faster with it but it was annoying to me. and the reason i don't go bigger dps is just a personal belief that some dps is too big for certain mobs. any time i have tested setups over 30 dps on kerbs, i've lost. i've always preferred a low-ish dps and highest eco possible weapon while relying on defense skills and low decay weapons to keep output costs to a minimum to give myself the best opportunity for break even/profit runs. so i tend to hunt a lot of mobs that are significantly below what would be a comfortable level for me. this setup on this mob is the one that has yielded the best results to date, results that are way past my wildest imaginings.

and kerbs don't regen past any natural rate. if they did i'd be grinding something else as this method would be useless and defensive costs would go significantly higher. the jurra maturities are easy to mindlessly grind through without much chance of danger while i catch up on tv shows or prep stuff for work.

again, lazy hunting while trying to see if i can't turn a profit on top of accomplishing what would be a 62k ped chip in. time will tell.

thanks for paying attention enough to post suggestions. they are always welcome from trusted and respected socmates and players whose reputations i know means they know of what they speak. this type of log will most likely infuriate anyone who hunts mostly dps or goes after big game stuff. once this log is over i'll most likely go bigger dps and find something big and flashy to grind out so i never have to look at a kerb again :)
 
I have been attempting to duplicate the same results as you have posted , and am currently have 4 runs complete.
My results are not as pretty as yours have been , but I will say I see a chance for them to turn. If I am able to complete my test I will post the final logs here also as a comparison. It will depend on the generosity of the kerbs as well as my ability to survive kerb boredom.
 
@Bones, when you do post throw in evader level and health info. these are the two areas where I know I have a huge advantage over the vast majority of players who hunt Kerbs on a daily basis. four runs isn't a lot so returns could easily turn around. down cycles happen, the past five runs i've tracked are now at -450 for me. the system giveth and the system taketh away and then it giveth... Yada yada yada. with this setup you give yourself a great opportunity to play for free. worst case scenario returns should be better than 95%. only drawback is it can be blindingly boring. hit me up and send friend request next time you see me out there.

Have you tried doing them with archon sword ? It is even more eco. I was thinking about something similar. Adj chip + archon sword, naked and of course finisher. That should be quite profitable. ATM im using that setup on small troxes, but results are very swingy and I'm not sure about mobs regeneration.
