If you go to armour on wiki....select the 4 armours, Chronicle Ten, Carramone, supremacy and Shadow, add 2 defence enhancers and a set of standard 5b plates, and then compare on the big creatures I like to hunt, you can see that the levels of protection of Chronicle Ten is superior than the other 3 armours.
Of course there may be some other creatures I don't normally hunt, like drones or bots, where one of the other armours may be superior, but if purely just hunted drones or bots I am sure you buy a specialist armour that suits those creatures.
