I think i am finally understanding where all this sh*te is going.

Purely and simple, it has nothing to do with VR, but with their vain attempts to increase EU. I.E. more planet partners, more "games" but ALL still under MA.

These tp fees are meant to go towards that, and create PR jobs so people advertise the game. Or probably more importanlty, advertise the "Platform", so there are no direct costs to MA.

If true, and i am probably wrong, that's just being sneaky.

We still arent being told what these "jobs" are, or what these, "conscriptions" are. Or how it is going to stimulate the economy via crafting. (adding in another new proffession with more new components, WILL NOT STIMULATE ANYTHING) Look at wood harvesting, what a complete waste of coding time and money, when they could have just had the already looted wood items in mobs to do it all. Freaking id*ots.

Don't get me wrong, i love this game, I get jitters when i cannot log in. But make the stuff in game useful first before ADDING anything.

Rant over, bored now.

been neutral here, I don't like the idea in its first form, but 'could' be developed into something useful

it was pretty obvious majority of the 'other' games would under MA, well MA's platform anyway. The work involved to transfer other would be extreme.
I think they caught the mini game bug with compets plus someone wanting their engine for a casino, are trying to become the next King.
I use to play King games when they operated under Yahoo Games and you are able to play skill games and win money all from one site, this is what I suspect they are hoping for, either EU becomes the hub or one of the games off the hub (a bit like the hub part in Wreck it Ralph). So we can jump in a TP to Compets or this Casino.

If you saw yahoo games 10 years ago, you would never have expected King to rise like they did, just took 1 game, MA could or die trying

Rather the opposite. It's a regressive tax. 2 PED tp fee (to and fro) means 0.2% tax on someone who does 1000 PED runs, 2% tax on someone who does 100 PED runs, etc. I reckon game will be very hard with 10 kPED bankroll and simply impossible below that.

Obviously, they want to get rid of people who'd deposit less than USD 1000 for a start and who'd deposit less than USD 100 / month from there on.

Which means they want to get rid of you, me and most fanboys of the plan, too.

Does anyone seriously think this TP fee/tax ide will ever see the light? I don't! To me its just a hypothetic thoght. It will ruin the game for sure.

Yes I came to this a few days ago. At first it didn't make much since -- other than MA trying to find a way to suck more money out of us. But then when thinking about MA selling off the platform to other companies like our one casino it started to make a bit of sense. MA is just trying to get funds so they can develop this gateway for the two games in hopes that more companies will not be PP but instead spend more money on the platform itself. But yes I could be wrong and MA could just be greedy.

So yes this VR President is just for any other company who may buy into the platform and not linking to any other outside game.

I sure hope that MA didn't sell this platform off to the casnio telling them that such a gateway was already in place.

The whole plan is all about expanding the playerbase. If successful it'll bring in hordes of fresh low profile noobs looking for the easy cash.
The immediate economic effect of the same plan, however, lands hardest on the noobs, both new and old - most likely wiping off most of em in first few weeks. We'll be left with the variety of the "hardened freeloader" who'll never actively participate in the economy. Some sweating, some fruitwalking, lot of time, no deposits.

Natural selection at it's best. Prolly not exactly what MA was aiming for but well, u can't avoid some collateral damage with a grandiose project like this!

According to the suggestion it takes over a year to get to a point where they'd get paid. As you say most new players would have quit after being told that, the majority left would most likely be gold farmers doing the minimum requirement and then withdrawing.
