Your poll of poles not excluding pols or polls is invalid... My opinion on polls is polar opposite to your polls pole questions - just who are you polling! One might call the polis!


( I wish I never googled where poling was.. urban dictionary has its moments!)
 
I prefer voles, especially water voles, they look like rats.

I like both the north an south pole, but I have a fondness for the south pole from stories I had heard when I was on active duty a long time ago when I was in the US Navy Seabees. I had an Equipment Operator friend who wintered over 3 times at McMurdo station. This was tough volunteer duty that few qualified for. He was an crazy old son of a bitch from the Vietnam era. We would get drunk and beat each other up. Good times :laugh:

Personally I consider them equally good as they share the task of providing an axis around which the Earth can rotate, which I find very helpful.
 
Must be more than platonic love. One could get beaten by his better half with hiking poles at occasion.
