i already uninstalled EU once. Placed parental control on damn router and yet i still get fucking unwanted advertising in ur client loader. First was porn, now is USAdv loterry. What the heck i should delete to clean this shit?

Do you have a proper antivirus? I recommend 360 TS (free).

Sometimes, if someone has been messing with your DNS settings you can see ads when browsing. Check those both in your computer and in your router. I recommend using Google DNS (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4).

Do a full antivirus scan and enable the default windows firewall (if you have it disabled).

If none of this works think of doing a full format or, in as last resort changing your ISP.

Good luck.

i have damn AVG antivirus free edition.
a

as joda says, AVG Free doesn't have malware removal (ofaik) or live scanning. Free AV isn't suitable protection, espically if you on less than legit sites ;)

Good antivirus and firewall protection is worth paying for.

your interpretation of the situation is wrong
Entropia Universe is using Internet Explorer frame to show content in the client loader
you have malware / virus installed on your system or at least Internet Explorer
thus this message should be in off-topic since its not related to EU
as advised by others, clean it by using proper tools / clean install. and protect yourself properly as of now.

Yeah, and when your computer is infected with a computer virus we don't say "my computer was hacked". For hacking you need a hacker, a person, to be involved. You just visited a porn site and got yourself into trouble.
Then again, maybe it wasn't really you who was roamong around in dirty places, maybe it was your kid. If so you kinda have another person involved and it does indeed end up with shit. Nevertheless calling your kid a hacker might be undeserved honor, you need to have a working brain to be a hacker but there's no such requirement for visiting the porn sites. :smoke:

Come on who does not a computer dedicated to porn nowadays? :D

A less technical answer:
The Clientloader uses parts of Internet Explorer.

So not the Clientloader is infected but your internet explorer / whole PC.

You likely have a "browser hijacker".

You need TDSSKILLER. This will solve your problem 100% guaranteed. AVG and Norton sucks for these types of virus's.

http://support.kaspersky.com/viruses/utility#

it will take you 30 seconds to fix everything after installed.

Normal antivirus scanners will not find this type of virus, it is a rootkit which is designed to hide from antivirus scanners. TDSSKILLER will change the rootkit virus to make it visible to your normal antivirus scanner, thus allowing you to delete it. As soon as you run the program your AVG should pop into action and notify you of the found virus's.

If you don't trust the link, google tdsskiller and find it yourself (as well as the reviews).

As properly pointed out by others.
Please can a mod change the title of this thread!

Most adware crap coming from Yahoo portal if you use it re-think.
Don't worry about Entropia launcher! Also leave the antivirus you use alone. I recommend MS security to most of my clients or AVAST (the best antivirus for me).
Just get the free version of Malwarebytes and clean your pc once in while.

https://www.malwarebytes.com/

There is no reason to panic :) it happen to everyone

PS. I agree with Amber, the title of this thread should change

I've had to fix a few machines infected with crap, some via dns changers and another due to a suppliers website being continually hacked as the server it was hosted on was never patched.

I normally suggest Malwarebytes as a starting point. Only had a few occasions where that hasn't worked and had to resort to a system restore from a few months previous.

Avast is ok, it gets annoying with the prompts to use their browser, although I still use it myself as well as Zonealarm firewall both of which have free versions.

Avast also has a free for business use version as well but it has to be managed from a website, local config changes aren't permanent.

I've had Symantec call me about using their antivirus for businesses - I told them that's the first bit of software I remove from a pre-installed machine as it's crap, slow and causes too many problems. They stopped calling.

I'm guessing you have something similar to "Advertize"... it will nest in your chache files probably in your browser folder....mostly harmless but it fucked my computer pretty bad once when suddenly the paths to some c folders didn't work efter it had spread ... also almost no free virus protection will find it ;)
malwarebytes as posted above will most likely do fine though

Another question: Is it a specific planet (which?) or is it for all planets you are aware of?

If your on windows 8+ you already have a very good antivirus out of the box.
Yea sounds what you have is malware (as said).

Not to forget: Recent versions of windows, especially the OEM versions, often have a function to perform a "factory reset". With really sticky adware you could consider to use it, even if it means making backup of all datafiles; and afterwards re-install all servicepacks/patches and re-install the program.

unbelivabel after so much time adware still on damn internet. malware adware i clean up and instaled blockers only thing remain to do is damn format.

Try out AVIRA.

Next. havent found anything lol yet IE is damn filled with malaware. can instal a new IE because lol last is on my pc cant uninstal IE, cant click on it .. fucking MS.

HitmanPro? might as well try them all. plus have you tried opening IE and making sure no add ons are active and homepage isn't a malware site

We love windoze! sic

this is why linux has survived so long. windows, explorer and microsoft are crap. MA should base its products around software that is not dependent on this pile of common dung.

Linux serves its own purpose.
I do agree that internet exploder is crap, but it's clear to understand why windows and Microsoft are superior, its simply the best.

There's a reason most computers come with windows. It's used everywhere.

Something other companies have not accomplished.

It's not shit, you have zero clue what "Common dung" is...

Google is your friend. How to remove adware from Internet Explorer?

After cleaning the system, install a ad blocker.
