The RDI Blood Sample missions have been temporarily disabled due to incorrect decay parameters on the reward items. This issue will be corrected in the patch scheduled for early next week. Any colonists who received faulty RDI amplifiers will be compensated with new amplifiers after the patch.

Here are the intended stats for the amps:
  • RDI Energy Amplifier Alpha (L) - 2 Penetration, 15 Burn - 4.8433 DPP
  • RDI Energy Amplifier Beta (L) - 4 Penetration, 30 Burn - 4.8433 DPP
  • RDI Binary Amplifier (L) - 4 Penetration, 30 Impact - 4.833 DPP

Our apologies for the inconvenience.

i would love to have amp tt normal as samples.

the tt value would be kinda handy to know also ;)

The TT value of the amps will not change.

However, the decay is low enough that the new amps will have over 9000 uses (like how the E.L.M. guns work).

is it limited to those 3 amps per ava ?
i mean,can i make multiple if i have multiple samples ?

It's over 9000! :lolup:

on a more serious note, good news.

Math:
- to bring Alpha from 278 to 9000+ uses, the decay needs to be 3.09% of the current or less;
- however, you're paying 6x more tt in blood samples;
- hence, to get a rough idea of what it'll be like, you can now enter 18% in the 'Amplifier decay' box in the Weapon Compare tool. It'll be at least that good (ignoring MU on blood samples for now).

Can ignore the above for now.

Edit; read wrong...

my calculation must be way off...else i should empty auction of a/b/c :)

meaning..ludvig says over 9k shots
so the lowest amp has 17 x 9000= 153k damage
at average 3 dam/pec that would amount to 510 ped damage dealt

subtract 315 ped of ammo used and an 8 ped amp gives 195 ped damage ?

so either my calculation is way off..or the 9k uses ludvig stated aint correct,or i should run to auction now :)

Selling blood samples for 395k

If you're using max damage, you need to use 'oldschool' dpp:

153000 / 4.8433 = 31590 PEC, within rounding :)

Of course, 4.8433 is way better than 4.611 (oldschool dpp of normal A105)

MA use unadjusted DPP, so that is a direct division DPP.

Therefore, if we keep the current ammo usage the same, the Alpha amp would be:

17 / (3.5 + (x)) = 4.8433

(17 / 4.8433) - 3.5 = (x)

(x) = 0.0100 (4SF)

Therefore, with a 3% decay max on 1ped, you have 97pec of usable TT

97/0.01 = 9,700 uses.

(This is all assuming the ammo consumption stays the same).

More interestingly the DPP:

At neutral player TT, i.e. no markup on the 6ped TT of Eomon Blood needed;

actual cost =

17 / (3.5 + (0.01*6)) = 17 / 3.56 = 4.7753 DPP.

For the Beta Amp;

34 / (7 + (x) = 4.8433

(34 / 4.8433) - 7 = (x)

(x) = 0.0200 (4SF)

Again, 3% decay max on 2 ped = 1.94 usable.

194/0.02 = 9,700 uses.

DPP:

Neutral TT = 156 ped (!)

actual cost =

34 / (7 + (0.02*78)) = 34 / 8.56 = 3.9720

So, depending on the player MU of A,B,C samples, the Alpha amp could be an extremely eco amp. The Beta amp, is useless :)

Correction to the above math, technically 6 ped of the beta amp is "free" as you already hand in A,B,C for the Alpha. So the actual decay should be based on 150ped (7500%), so:

34 / (7+(0.02*75)) = 4.0000.

Not like it makes much difference though.

My suggestion to MA - make the TT 10ped = that will give an overall "MU" DPP of 4.6575.

Screenshots say no, not free;

I tried to do the math, too, but decided to wait until all details are known.

The TT value of the amps will not change.

However, the decay is low enough that the new amps will have over 9000 uses (like how the E.L.M. guns work).

So, instead of us getting the markup like with E.L.M. guns, MA gets the markup.
