Alright so after the success of the tower log I'm now hoping for the same 8-9 month turnaround for a 5-digit hof.

I'll mostly be mining indoors.. DSEC L30 + LVL 5 Amps (113% markup needed to profit)

I'll try to go for markup resources as much as possible, I don't expect to see massive profits with this log, but breaking even will be a start.

I may mine planet-side w/ the L30 + D-class amps when indoors is especially shitty..

If you can obtain an optional cheap D-class or (L) medium/high mining amp BP amp with good QR, suggest give it a go as long as you have some crafting skillz :D (this is if you don't already own one).

BTW, GL on this endeavor.

Well markup is still pretty good.. TT return absolutely sucks. I would have been okay with ~80% but below 75% is insane.

Gratz! Are you trying to get a tower at every indoor mining location (you would be left with FOMA and/or Monria)?

Notes:
1) Indoor mining is fucking hard.
2) Even 1-1.5k hofs don't seem to help me much. They're typically forced hofs for when my return drops below 50% during a run.

Edit: I should be top-3 miner on EL when the next click over is.. so that's neat.

Notes:

1) Seriously losing motivation to continue this log. Even with my two towers in July being added to the equation I'm still severely down. TT wise I would need roughly a 15k+ hof to get back to 90% return.
Motivation additionally decreases when I see other miners hitting decent-sized towers when I know their deficits are not as great and they don't cycle as much as I do.


Futher.... I've established a 5k loss rule. If and when this log dips into 5k loss after markup is accounted for... I will stop the log and go back to outdoor mining.
 
When I had the ul7 amp, I had 80% with 110% mu and 78% with 115% mu and I did a lot of indoor mining. If I had the ul amp again (not that I'd waste money on ul7 again), I would only door outdoor.

Plenty of opportunities.
 
I was making roughly ~1200 ped per week mining outdoors. obviously cycling a lot less, but markup was up over 120% so the profit margins per amp were higher.

I've done the math and at 117% indoor mining would yield me more profit/hour... but I can't get 90% return so it's a moot point.

My first run for September that I did on stream.. I hit a 1540 ped hof and still finish below 81% return. #brutal
 
Well, one thing I went back and forth with the "prophets of eu" when I had the amp was whether outdoor or indoor was worth it. It was always that if you had a UL amp then you would do indoor... I always disagreed and in the end I was correct.

Problem you experience is the underlining problem with resource caps. Probably why, still at this point, I can't hit anything in hunting.

Well I'll be streaming another 6k today in AU. If that fails then I'll go to Hell or FOMA and drop, ignorant of markup.

My guess is I'll be at a 5k loss after those two runs if things don't change.. but perhaps going after markup indoors is dooming in itself because of the resource caps on items with good markup.

Still in shock as my numbers indicate i was overpaid by almost 17k on that narc hit. But now I know what a heart attack feels like.

This log is concluded! As well as my mining career for the foreseeable future. Grinding like this was extremely mentally frustrating, so now i'm off to have some actual fun in EU.
