Time Limit

Event participants must keep track of their time spent in the event instances, since the current instance system unfortunately does not track time spent across multiple login/instance sessions.

Please be aware that the 60 minute instance timer that appears once you enter one of the Halloween Mayhem instances is not an official time tracking feature for this event.

Rules
This event is intended for solo hunters. Any attempt at abusing team mechanics or any other Entropia Universe systems or features in order to gain an unfair advantage over other participants will be grounds for disqualification from the event, forfeiture of any prizes, and possible sanctions imposed on one’s Entropia Universe account.

Do not abandon the mission! If you abandon the mission for any reason, either intentionally or accidentally, all points earned up to that point will be lost forever. Support cannot and will not restore points for abandoned missions, regardless of the situation.

Notes
The Essence of Evil items required to spawn Count Vamp of Boorum bosses are restricted to the instance level from which they are looted as follows:
  • Chipped Essence of Evil - Level 1 Instance
  • Flawed Essence of Evil - Level 2 Instance
  • Average Essence of Evil - Level 3 Instance
  • Flawless Essence of Evil - Level 4 Instance
  • Perfect Essence of Evil - Level 5 Instance

***Essences of Evil will not be used in future Halloween Mayhem events, so be sure to use all such items before Monday, November 7 2016, 13:00:00 UTC***

so what happens if you go over? Or can you not go over?
IE: does it kick you out and say you have reached your maximum time allowed?

I'll just shoot a few for entertainment value.

If you go over you will be disqualified from prizes, it won't kick you out though you'll need to keep track yourself.

You can do as many as you like, there is no warning message or kick but over 40hrs disqualifies you from prizes. It's down to you to monitor your time.

Thank you! Not the answer I was hoping for, but thanks for letting me know how the timer thing works.

Was hoping for something other than ammo as a motivator. Maybe some melee amps ?!!?!?! GL to all!

arent the prices irrelevant anyway? the same people who win every year will win this year as well. the chance for anyone else to win is practically 0%.

Hard to believe that even now we still have to monitor time.

prizepool is so bad T_T

40 hours at good lvl is about 100k ped cycled..

well yah the main prizes - I just wanted to play to kill zombies and get the bonus prizes.
but I doubt i can get enough points in 40 hrs for 1k ammo.

Not really. It's an event. Universal ammo allows them to create events without much risk to flooding the economy that is already fragile with tons of ul stuff... which I shall remind the community that this was a primary complaint.

Some prizes here 11 to 15 are even an insult to hunters.
a top 15 hunter will have spent 100k and potentialy lost 20k and he will be awarded 100 ped universal ammo LOL. 100 ped is about 2 minute hunting for me :D

Halloween Mayhem is my favorite event but its hard to believe that we are still forced to utilize an outdated and antiquated method of keeping track of time in the event. An "Option" could be utilized in-game to ask wether or not one wishes to continue past the allotted time. First choice could be instant boot from event once 40 hours is reached and 2nd choice is to be allowed to continue if you are just there for fun. Many games, including free-to-play games, have this already. Putting the burden on the player is detrimental to having fun participating.

I can't remember how long the trip is in each instance, was it 30 mins?

Are these stats different then the current ring? I seem to recall there was a movement restriction on the last years ring or something.. can't look up stats atm.

So do 39 runs? or ??? lol ???

MA, y u so amateur u can't code a timer

Where are the Halloween boxes???
Still not showing in Webstore

Not a matter of me winning such prize. Knowing that new Melee amps would be out there to potentially buy off the winner is the real treat.

I hope this is true, that means I only have to buy $10 of boxes to get a ring again, I won't sell it this year though

Am guessing all the top event prizes will go to the lvl 5 instance runners, and the other instance runners will not get any prizes.....

Other then a lucky 50 - 200 peds uni ammo or something, lol.

Hold on a second,

Weren't the ped prizes the reason for 0 CLD payment?

I know people were doing it multiple times, but still it proved ped prizes come directly from the revenue share.

But wasnt the problem rather that the drop rate for snowflakes was totally off? Almost everyone was able to make atleast +/- in the beginning of that event?

Yes, but they always have been. The big issue was the amount of times people were receiving the UA, not the initial prizes.

Prizes are paid for by calypso profit earnings. They paid out far more than they realized because

1) The prizes too good.
2) People had previous year missions that also got compensated while doing the current year. So double bonus.
3) Trading stars for UA got exploited with alts and it exceeded revenue

So, should this event be a failure, CLD owners WILL suffer because Calypso will have earned no profit.
