This is the first event I was able to do cat 5. I was able to do the 39 hours. I was scared of going over time limit so I stopped there. I had one DC in the instance so I wasn't sure how that was going to be counted.

My best pumpkin was one 1k, looks like I need to "invest" another $20k usd for some dps upgrades :laugh:

GG all - grats Grave! Btw, since I got a lot of PM's asking this, no 5k's for me.
 
Gz, glad to see the prizes going to the best players in the game (this is not sarcasm, I prefer those who've worked hard & spent money to be rewarded appropriately).

MA might need to be a bit less stingy with the prizes in Merry Mayhem however, considering they gave away a total of just 95.6K PED ($9,560) excluding rings.

I gave it my all with some of the best gear and only ended up at 10th spot....

But you know what?
Iam glad, the entire top field consist of diffrent weapons from diffrent clicks, like true competion.

Big gz too grave who have gambled on dogs previous year but this time it was successful

Here's your 1000 ped for getting 20,000 points. Oh, and here's an extra 100 peds for the other 15,000 points you got.
 
This HM was a bit funny.. I did 99.99% dogs, most in cat4.. I didnt manage more than 18h, but was able to get [only] 4k7ish points (single 1k and single 500 pumpkin), but the loot was wow! :yay: I kinda concluded myself that the ubers maybe got the prizes while the noobs got the loot. Fine with me :)

It even made me consider going all out for xmas MM.

Then I remembered some of you guys a pumping in 5k ammo an hour aren't you.

Xmas MM is always a good laugh, I'll save my pennies for that.

Congratulations to the winners! Yet so sad to see something like this happening nearly every time, someone getting just destroyed. While the time limit was introduced for the sake of fairness, without an authoritative tracking tool on client side it is predestined to turn nasty for some upon the slightest mistake or malfunction. The Arkadian way with its normalized score is better i.m.o.

Has there actually been any confirmation from joker as to how far over he went? Could easily have just been grinding as many hours as possible to sell essence.

Absolutely. They created this rule of time but have no way for people to track just how long the system thinks they have been in. This ridiculous and it makes it impossible to get it accurate, especially with how unstable the instances have been for some.

Come on MA. You want o make an event based on total time participated, then maybe you should make a total time tracker and put it in the mission log.

funny enough they could do this easily as they need to have such a tool already ready to track peoples times for themselves. i have absolutely no clue why they dont implement it so that everyone can see his own time. thats like 5 minutes of coding...

This forum is a scary place, the toxic levels are very high.

Not a single person got disqualified besides poker but he wasnt competing, he was enjoying the hunt inthe instance and prolly did close to 100 hours.

Ive competed every year and me nor anybody I know has had any troubles to stay within the limit. Its a competition, those usually have rules and if keeping track of your time is a part of the competition then just keep track of your time and if not 100% sure then do some time less (like Ive allways done)

PS: great event as allways and an extra gz to grave :)

Exactly this.

I've never understood how people struggle to keep track of time, there is a timer in the instance, and if you don't do a whole hour, then you just add the times up?

The only player, in the top16, who got time-disqualified was Joker, and he intentionally went over time (it wasn't 40.00000001 hours).

I'd agree there was a problem if 5, 10, 15 people got disqualified but it seems that all those who were in the winning positions managed to keep within the time, and surely, they're the only ones who matter? Why should MA care that someone on a forum who isn't running the instance, can't keep track of time?
