http://monria.com/forum/threads/no-mid-month-nov-event-we-are-focusing-on-our-3-yr-anniv-event.4991/
We won't have a mid-month 12 hour event this month because we are focusing on our 3 yr Monria Team Anniversary event. The anniversary event is a bigger event with more activities and goes 24 hrs. The event will be held on Saturday, November 24th so mark your calendars.

I am currently working on the details, and as soon as I have everything sorted I will post the event thread.

Our actual anniversary is Nov 26th ... 11/26/15 -to- 11/26/18.

========================
Anyone can play at any level, but if you are serious about depositing 1 Million USD...

4166.67 per month deposited for 20 years should get you there in the course of a 20 year timeframe...
2777.78 per month deposited for 30 years could also...
2083.33 per month deposited for 40.1 years...
or 1000 per month deposited for 83.33 years...

Of course that's not taking in to account losses/gains along the way...

I really doubt anyone ever really deposited that much at least not to 'play' with... to 'invest with', probably quite a few have.

A better way to look at it is figure out what you can afford to lose, and just consider all deposits as 'entertainment' or losses... a Doctor or Traffic Controllers is going to be able to have more 'fun money' in game than a minimum wager or someone just playing for free off of money sweated... but that doesn't mean they'll be having 'more fun' than those playing at the lower levels.

Mindark has made it cheaper to play the game in many ways over the years, but still hasn't made it cheap enough to please everyone...

There are quite a few 10 and even some 5 hp mobs in game you could grind forever... may not be the 'most fun' or best roi thing to do but you could do it theoretically... (at least it'd arguably be more fun than sweating, at least for a while... but some enjoy sweating... if you do I'd suggest travelling to Rocktropia or Cyrene because the low damage mobs like the haters can get you quite a few sweat without a bunch of death and Cyrene has the Mario VR, Maze missions, and sweating daily that can get you tokens and pets if you do the low cost/free type activities daily for about 10 minutes... there's also the hub lime green tokens you can pick up for free over there if you don't mind getting de-clothed every time you go downstairs to the hub (don't wear L clothes or rings if you do a lot of hub time).)

and at a pretty low monthly cost... of course you could also just go chase the highest hp mob in game and hunt it solo once every 2-5 years if you chose to as well...

so no, this game isn't just for folks with a million bucks to blow... but if you do have the funds to do that, it could make the trip a bit more interesting.

More compensation notes...
I remember when the bug with Thorkells Cave shops happened, they compensated by giving the original paid price back, and gave the right to buy the shop again at same price when it will be fixed. To fix it, they had to remove it completely and they also deleted the cave.
They never managed to fix it, seems there was a problem with this shops beeing in a cave underground (no clue what it actually was, that made it impossible for MA to fix it).
A long time passed with nothing happened (from players side of view, dont know from MA side of view), then they made the Deer Mall and those who once bought a Thorkells shop and got their refund, had the right to buy one of the Mall Shops at same price as they originally paid for Thorkells Cave Shop.
Considering the size of the shops, this new Mall Shops was even better, but it has not that nice athmosphere than Thorkells Cave had.

When space was introduced and hangars became obsolete, the hangar owners have been compensated with Privateer.

Thats the thinks I actually remember, maybe there is more.

L.a. notes
1. There is no fixed amount which LA owners make. It varies tremendously based on location, DNA, geography, and most importantly the way it is managed. Most LAs on Calypso likely produce less than 50 PED/month. This is because they are passively managed. A very good LA will produce 50 PED/day passively managed. A very good LA with very good management will produce 1,000+ PED/day.

2. There is a payment period at all balls every day. If your LA's revenue was less than 50 PED then it simply rolls over to the next period until you have at least 50 PED.

3. There are no balance sheets ingame, only "ped flow center" which differentiates between a "Land Areas" category and "shopkeeper" category, as well as a few others. If you own multiple land areas, Arkadia Underground Deeds, and Arkadia Moon Deeds, they are all thrown into the same window but are differentiated with text indicating where the revenue came from.

4. To run a successful mining LA you need a convenient location, good minerals, and an aggressive ad campaign to bring an initial client base. I would argue that it is more difficult to run most mining LAs than it is to promote a hunting LA, as most mining LAs have the same minerals located just off the LA untaxed.

5. A 100k mining LA will be absolute trash. It would be far better to own 100 CLDs.

6. Resources change over time based on the population density of the planet, the phase of the moon, alignment of the stars, and the general mood at the MindArk office.

7. Resources cannot be customized.

8. Shopkeepers can only be placed in your shed.

9. You cannot drop items on land areas anymore.

10. PvP is a setting you can change.

11. Costs of owning an LA on Calypso include the following: Fertilizer (if you intend to spawn mobs), event promotion, and possibly upgrades available under the "estate development" at planetcalypso.com.

12. Pitfalls: Don't take land area management advice from people who have never owned a land area. The LA management game is significantly different than it appears to be at face value. Don't walk into LA management thinking it is a passive investment. The only LAs which will beat out CLDs passively will cost you upwards of 750,000 PED.
Advice:
1. Don't buy cheap. If you're going to spend less than 200k you may as well buy CLDs. The best bang for your buck will be found in the 300k PED range, as that is a rather difficult amount to liquidate and consequently appears to be the relative "ceiling" of a price on a land area, regardless of profitability potential.
2. Actively manage your land areas. Passively managing your LAs will lead to inevitable disappointment, while good active management will significantly outperform your expectations.
3. Do your research and do NOT be rushed into buying a land area. LA trading is a very slow business, you have all the time in the world. If a deal seems so good it's going to pass you up, go ahead and let it. Another good LA will be on the market soon enough.

Just LoL - ...

===================
Hello All.

So with all the latest changes over the years and overall lack of discussions on this forum outside of sales/whining/etc. I figured I'd start up a topic that might help some people purse the BLP rifle side of things instead of the mainstream Laser. I put my choices below.. what are your thoughts? Would you choose a different path? Perhaps we can suggest budget versus premium solutions for people of various budgets? Also how do you feel this BLP path compares to the more eco-friendly laser route?

Below I extracted all SIB BLP carbine/rifles from entropedia and I wanted to discuss what path would you take today and why?

Xxxxxx.
Hello fellow Entropians, I am writing to inform people about Crystal Palace and it's evolution this year. Some events have happened that I would like to explain here clearly and honestly. :)

In the beginning of 2018 I had been thinking about the idea to sell Crystal Palace. It has been a great honor and it has been very exciting, fun and rewarding to have owned it all these years. But it was on my mind that perhaps I needed to move on from CP, as owning such a large investment didn't make as much sense anymore for me due to real life issues. And also for the fact that I haven't had much time for EU as I did in the past. After having kids it has been difficult to find the time anymore as I once did. And so CP has suffered somewhat do to this. I also knew that selling would be a difficult thing to do since it is such a large investment for anyone take on. And so I asked a few old friends who might be interested and that have had significant investments over the years. They were interested but passed as they didn't have enough resources to take it on by themselves. At this time I was hesitant to fully acknowledge the fact that it would be in my best interest to sell. And so I was not ready to make it public or post about it on the forums yet that I wanted to sell. So I instead I decided to just keep on going as I had been and wait.

Some months later around July. A player that I had never met or heard of before, contacted me ingame about the prospect of buying Crystal Palace. This person seemed very motivated and enthusiastic about owning CP. They also would have the financial capability of making it happen. I gave them details and have been honest in all issues of our communication. They gave offers which were way too low as I didn't want to go below the original purchase price, but as we talked more I ended up going much lower on the price that I'd ever considered. The deal was to include all of CP and some related crafting blueprints. I was very hesitant on all of this... however my reasons to do this was for the fact that it could be a simple, timely deal that would consist of only PEDs and there would be no other complicated issues. And the potential buyer was very positive, optimistic, had good plans for the future of CP. They felt they could do a good job of it and it would make me happy to see CP thrive for years to come.

Once we had everything agreed upon, the potential buyer was getting funding in place and told me that it would take up to 40 days. I didn't expect such a long wait, but we made an agreement. Right after this I was thinking about the logistics of the trade. I have held the deeds for CP all these years, I just wanted to be certain that there would be no bugs or issues once we are all set to trade since I just wanted everything to go smoothly. So I went to the main CP terminal to look for the option to 'restrict the deeds' in order to be able to trade them. There was a problem... there were no such options in the CP Dome terminals in order to do this. Every Land area and estate in the game has such a terminal and option to do this, so I, of course, assumed this was there. But it wasn't there. It was a design oversight or bug. So I immediately contacted Mindark to see if they would be able to add in a terminal ASAP in order to accomplish this trade.
Mindark replied that they have added new rules that we must approve a new owner on large estates like the moon Etc. And asked me if I can tell the new buyer to contact them in this regard.

I did so right away by telling the new buyer that MA requires more information about them.

I asked mindark again why do they need more info? They replied that their money laundering policy and financial inspectors rules they must follow. That they can not just have someone deposit xxx money into Entropia without real personal info, that they will be required to report it and it will not be available until its been approved by the authorities. And that they will require personal ID from the new owner. And lastly that they would be able to securely facilitate the deal even though the terminal didn't exist.

The potential buyer didn't like the future prospect of owning the deeds and not having a way to trade them without MA aiding in the deal. All of this was unknown to me and the potential buyer until this time.
Being the current owner I feel very upset that there were no terminals as with every other Land Area or Estate ingame have. And this is something I would like to see fixed. However I also understand that Mindark needs to have strict policies when dealing with any large sum of money. And so I waited for the new potential buyer to give their info to MA and for everything to go through with our deal. I was hoping things would keep moving forward and that the buyer would give their financial details and get over these hurdles so we could still make this deal happen. Since MA could help do the trade even without needing to wait for a terminal to be added, and it would be much more secure vs doing such a trade this way, since we would have to do multiple trades due to trade item limits and the opportunity for scamming or errors could occur.
However...
After waiting a few weeks for the buyer to get MA the info needed in order to finalize the trade. I am assuming they were not wanting to give out their details to MA and is that why it is taking them so long? The potential buyer told me that MA isn't going to budge on their request to add Terminals and make the deed tradeable privately. And doesn't want to have to deal with the fact of needing MA to help when then plan on reselling CP in the future.
This was the deal-breaker for us. Neither party knew of these details until we got to that stage. I didn't hold them responsible for not going through with the deal. Nor did they to me. As we weren't aware of these issues when we made the agreement and so the deal was over.

Here is the last thing the potential buyer said to me:
"Its crushing but I don't hold you responsible for something you could not have known until getting to this point in parting ways with it. As I said before I have a lot of respect for you in the way you have managed CP in the past and that respect will remain. I will lick my wounds but move on with optimism for the future and I hope you do as well. Let me know if theres anything I can ever help with in the future."

And my reply.
"Thanks. I appreciate that.
I am hoping to try and find more time to be ingame more again. But i dont know if this all will motivate me or demotivate me lol
Will just try to be patient and positive and see what the future will bring.
And I trust we can keep everything we talked about to do with tax etc all confidential and behind us now? I dont want anyone misunderstanding things and i want to keep ingame life simple lol.
Peace,
Buzz"

Now that our deal was over. I was very bummed about at all of this time wasted and effort that had gone into this deal. And the result of this whole experience from my perspective is that now it will be even more difficult for me to sell CP in the future. If this highly motivated potential buyer was not interested to deal with a few hurdles in order to make this transaction happen. How would I be able to sell it, as it is a large investment for any single person? I was now planning to potentially post about selling Crystal Palace on the forums and go from there. First I would try to get confirmation from MA that they would be able to add the Terminals in the future.

And so... I contacted MA again in order to see if they will be able to add the terminal to CP. Just to have that done I think would be a step in the right direction and one less hurdle to deal with. The part about Mindark needing more personal info about any finances or deposits from Mindark point of view makes perfect sense. That is a logical hurdle that can be dealt with if the buyer is legitimate and serious. But there should still be a terminal on CP for the deeds. It just doesn't feel fair, and I believe it was an overlooked bug in CP. I asked Mindark again about this issue and what can be done. After these discussions they suggested to me the idea to turn Crystal Palace into a Deed sale.

I felt very optimistic about this new idea! A new evolution for CP. It was not only a great solution to selling CP as I had been thinking about all year... But it really felt like a win-win situation. This would give many players, hunters, and investors the opportunity to own a part of Crystal Palace! I love the idea of that. The future of CP could be great. Having large amounts of people who invest in it would mean more would want it to be successful. This could bring new opportunities for events or other exciting things that could happen in the future. And all of these positive things would increase the revenue for all of the future deed holders.

Mindark would be taking care of the deeds, sale and everything they need to do in order to implement and make this a reality. They have valued CP and they will share the sale revenue in order to accommodate this change and costs associated with such an endeavor. After the announcement many people have been asking me for more infomation about it. I hope MA will be able to give some more details for all those who had questions about it all in the near future.

Near the end of the year MA put out a press release about it: https://www.planetcalypsoforum.com/forums/showthread.php?307647-OWN-A-PIECE-OF-ENTROPIA-UNIVERSE-HISTORY-AND-EARN-REAL-MONEY-WITH-CRYSTAL-PALACE-DEED-SALE-Gamasutra

After this Press release came out. The previous potential buyer was angry and accusing me of many things. Putting on a tinfoil hat and pointing a finger at me like I have done impossible things. They also threatened me to pay them a large sum of PEDs in order to sign a NDA to keep all the details of our deal private.
:scratch2:

After this happened I checked the person on the forum only to find out they have been banned from this forum several times. The way they have spoken to me since has been very negative and they would not even listen to a word I had to say about anything to try and clear up any issues they had.

I have not done anything wrong. I have written out how everything how it has happened. We had a deal that fell through as explained above and both moved forward in a positive manner... until now when they try to attack me for moving forward in a positive direction after our deal.

I have been a player in Entropia for 16+ years now. Everyone who has known me in this time knows I have always been kind, respectable, honest, and a trustworthy person. I have always tried to be a good person because I don't like to deal with all the drama and hassles that come with negativity and all of its forms. I have written this post in order to prevent as many misunderstandings as possible. And so everyone can see my side of things, my motivations, and to update everyone about how Crystal Palace has come about its Evolution in 2018!

I see a bright future ahead for Crystal Palace. I am optimistic that 2019 and Beyond will be a good step forward for CP and all of the future deed owners!

Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year! :tiphat: :grouphug:

Hello, I wanted to write a guide on how to run a properly run a shop in EU because I noticed many new shopowners end up failing. Which really sucks.

If you're a current shop owner or thinking of running a shop / changing up your shop theme, this is for you!

A. Selecting A Shop
B. Choose a Successful Shop Theme (I see most problems Here)
C. Supply and Keeping Stock
D. Shop Organization (Here)
E. Getting customers (And Here)
F. Improvements/Investments

A. Selecting A Shop

1. Apartment with Shopkeepers (untaxed): An apartment cannot act as a shop unless you place shopkeepers there. The untaxed advantage of apartments does sound attractive, but running here also means you will not benefit from foot traffic, or from ads from other nearby stores. I will not recommend running stores in apartments unless you are a well established owner with many repeat customers.

2. Shop in a Mall (taxed 2.5%): This is the best choice for most owners as every active shop benefits each other.
Important Factors:
- Proximity to Teleporter or Televator. The closer the better, ofc price will go up too.
- Proximity to AH & other active stores. Active store traffic feeds off of each other. People will check out nearby locations. It's important to know what type of stores are around you and what they stock. This determines the majority type of players that walk by. Ex. If a whole floor is specifically hunting supplies and you run a single mining shop, it might be harder for you to succeed.
- Display Area item points: Item points in display helps people quickly glance what you are all about without walking in. This is helps covert foot traffic and helps new shoppers find you.
- Main Area item points: Where most of your stock will be. When a customer comes in, this is what they see.

3. Shop in a LA (taxed): These are usually owned by the LA owner as well. It's like a fancy apartment where LA owner get back the taxes anyways. Shops here should just mimic the theme of the LA.

B. Choose a Successful Shop Theme

Common Shop Themes: Each theme has a Low, Mid, High lv to stock for.
- Weapons (Melee, Energy, BLP, MF) & Weapon amps
- Armors and Armor plates
- FAPs & Regen chips: Not a good standalone theme, Best as an "extra" in a hunting shop
- Damage Enhancers
- Finders, Mining Amplifiers & Depth Enhancers
- Fashion: Run events to support this theme
- Hair Dresser/ Coloring: Run events to support this theme, also requires you to be online more often
- StrongBoxes, Pets, Skills: Best as an "extra" theme in a shop
- General Shops: Don't run these, they actually do more harm than good... unless your shop has LOTS of ip and you have a tonne of stock
- Specialty UL/Rare items: Good for a trader if you deal in uncommon/rare items

To run a successful shop, it is super important to the see the other shops beside you. What you want to do is find something the people coming here would like, but isn't currently stocked, or not stocked well enough, or priced funny.

1. Isn't currently stocked: If an area attracts mid-lv hunters, and you notice people don't have full set of that lv range weapons and armors stocked, it's your opportunity to go in :)

2. Not stocked well enough: Sometimes shop owners might be "semi active" ingame. So their stock keep running out. In this case, it makes sense to stock the exact same thing.

3. Priced Funny: This goes for if a store is stocked too high or even too low of a price. Too low means they probably run out of stock all the time and thus you can go in and set the same items a little higher. If it's too high, just make the prices reasonable (usually 1-2% lower than AH is a good benchmark).

C. Supply and Keeping Stock

There are 2 main ways to stock your items
1. Craft/Mine/Hunt yourself: Works well if you have the right BPs, Skills, and knowledge of areas. Selling your loot in shops can make more money than AH because of the lower listing fee.

2. Buy in bulk from others: You can buy in bulk for a heavily reduced price. Some things like L MF chips are usually TTed, so 101% bulk buy is attractive. Lookout for grinders, skilling crafters, etc. It's all about network here :)

I kept around 5-10 copies of each item stocked at any given time. So note the ped locked up in stock. If it's not moving out, consider changing some items, price adjustment, etc. Best way is literally to ask people for their thoughts.

Be mindful of your Item points. If you only have 40, you'll have to be very specific with your supply. If you have more, you can be more general.

D. Shop Organization

This will also make or break your shops. I see a lot of new owners like to add random decorations and all that. It's cool, but the major question you need ask yourself is "Are my items easy for my customers to find?"; those decorative stores are usually organized unintuitively, which turns people off.

I like to use Signs to help organize my shops. Most owners organize by Level and/or Type of Item. Shopkeepers are also a great way to organize. You let them hold specific items and to not clutter the store. I used to make them hold the items they contain (ex, blp weapon to show they sell blp, finder to show they sell mining supplies, etc)

This is an old store of mine. It had 250 IP, so I was able to stock lots of different things.

Make sure your Store Front showcases exactly what's in your store clearly

E. Getting customers

1. Ingame Ads: I think this is undervalued. Put in some ped for a month, let the game advertise for you 24/7. If you are in a smaller planet, the smallest Ad fee will guarentee you being up top. I used to run ads in Rocktropia for 30ped a whole month. I'm the only there, so it was a lot of result for little investment. It was only my ad for the whole month. Caly you probably need around 100-200ped a month to have any significant impact. So choose and price accordingly.

2. Word of Mouth: If you set your prices fair, start building your own reputation. People will share good news to their soc and friends especially if you have that gun they always use at the best price :) [It's super easy to beat AH prices as a store]. People care about how consistent you are, how you price, what you stock.

3. Self Advertising: Definitely create a message for the trade channels and maybe stand awhile in Twin Peaks, PA, or wherever your customers might be.

4. 3rd party tools/services: If you want to be abit creative, there are Radio ads, hire other Entropians to ad for you, online directories, and even streamers who are willing to help you out.

F. Improvements/Investments

1. Have shopkeepers: Price has been steady at around +2k for a shopkeeper. They effectively give you 14 more IP for your store, which is fast and easy

2. Pay MA 2k PED for 20 IP upgrade by sending them a support ticket asking for the IP improvement. The best place to upgrade first is the Display Area Item points if you don't have any. Then the main area. After you pay MA, they will implement in the next Version Update.

How do you know when it's time to upgrade? If you have a store that's doing well, and you want to expand :). Think of upgrades like an amplifier. It amplifies your success. If the stock you have aren't of interest to your customers or if the prices out of wack or if your store is poorly organized amplifying would not make any sense. So, expand only if you are doing well!

I hope this helps. P.s. My old store was not the most organized. I'll get better photos of other's stores sometime later. Or you could send me yours and I'll put it here if it's good ;)

Thank you for reading!

Currently Running PA Mall & Medusa Mall.

just want to throw in here that

-- SHOPKEEPERS DECAY...
-- Minimum Markup in any shop or shopkeeper is tt+1, which makes it hard to price small stacks, underprice the auction, etc.
-- certain items that cannot be auctioned CAN be sold in a shop or shopkeeper....
-- Certain items that can be sold in a shop may or may not be able to be sold in a shopkeeper as they sometimes have different rules...
-- shops with instances in their basements that shop owners can craft keys for only exist in Rocktropia currently
-- cost per item slot is different on every planet. Rocktropia has the biggest amount of item slots in game, but amount of traffic there may not necessarily be higher than on Calypso due to various reasons... Arkadia shop owners are proud of their little booths on the Quarry, so price em sky high. Some of that markup on the price may be justified, some of it, (or most if it) may not be...
-- the historic price of many shops can be discovered not too difficultly by doing some historic searches in the forums here and elsewhere...
-- certain players will never go to certain planets for a variety of reasons, some justified, some not so justified
-- SPACE IS LOOTABLE!
-- attempts to get Mindark to create a shop directory have been unsuccessful for years. At a couple of points in time some players did try to do something like that on, but keeping those attempts updated was too much, so the players could not successfully do it...

Active Shop List - This one's stickied, but suspect it won't be for too much longer since it's really outdated at this point in time... There's some possibility that I may start a similar thread or portion of this list dedicated to something similar to what was started here, but we'll see since it's a very major job... The apartment idea mentioned elsewhere would basically be similar to this idea too... but I'm not gonna take on a project that size by myself -- with some help from others, at least one other on each planet, or continent it might be doable...

Or you could send me yours and I'll put it here if it's good ;) Thank you for reading! ~Morey Currently Running PA Mall & Medusa Mall.[/QUOTE] just want to throw in here that -- SHOPKEEPERS DECAY... -- shops with instances in their basements that shop owners can craft keys for only exist in Rocktropia currently -- cost per item slot is different on every planet. Rocktropia has the biggest amount of item slots in game, but amount of traffic there may not necessarily be higher than on Calypso due to various reasons... Arkadia shop owners are proud of their little booths on the Quarry, so price em sky high. https://www.planetcalypso.com/planet-calypso/gameplay/upgrade-missions/ - upgrade mission summary

Upgrades Thread - https://www.planetcalypsoforum.com/...Upgrade-List&p=3583258&viewfull=1#post3583258 - Going forward I may start working on that thread some more. I have an idea about eventually possibly creating an 'upgrades' materials type shop or something in the future at some point in time, but am not 100% sure it's a doable idea yet... This thread is sort of taking the 'ingredients' for each of the upgrades missions and breaking it down in to the components that are looted and the materials that are crafted. As I expand my crafting endeavors over the next year (or years?) we'll see what potential there is here... There are folks on Arkadia that specialize on viceroy ingredients, so it'd be logical that someone could focus on upgrade type materials.
..............
I did some semi-extensive testing of CDF Edition weapon decay values and it seems to me that all CDF weapons have 19400 uses (20000 if minimum TT was 0%) meaning that:

all CDF 0.20PED valued items decay 0.001pec per use

all CDF 0.40PED valued items decay 0.002pec per use

all CDF 0.60PED valued items decay 0.003pec per use

all CDF 0.80PED valued items decay 0.004pec per use

all CDF 1.00PED valued items decay 0.005pec per use

Currently it seems EntropiaWiki has many values that are incorrect or missing in this regard, but as CDF weapons are not tradeable their decay values must be tested very carefully by bringing exact amounts of ammo and using the condition tooltip to get more accurate info:
cFqMjEs.png

The implications of this information are as follows:

1)Damage dealt per shot is an extremely important factor to take into consideration when selecting a CDF Edition weapon if you want to get the most bang for your buck, high fire rate CDF Edition weapons will often be a suboptimal choice.

2)All extenders are entirely useless on 0.20, 0.40, 0.60 CDF Weapons TESTED (excluding P30 on 0.60)

3)P20 extenders absorb 25% instead of 20% on 0.80 CDF Weapons (due to favorable rounding) TESTED

4)P15 extenders absorb 20% instead of 15% on 1.00 CDF Weapons (due to favorable rounding) TESTED

5)P30 extenders absorb 33% instead of 30% on 0.60 CDF Weapons (due to favorable rounding)

6)P30 extenders are extremely overpriced and should never be bought because the only niche use for it is with 0.60 CDF Weapons

If anybody has any questions or any info they'd like to add, please feel free.

WARNING!!!.

In an attempt to distract attention from their AI Bots and derail the President of Virtual Reality’s conscription program by corrupting new avatars into accepting bribes, Code Demons have created a malicious code that can be refined with a mysterious combination of Vibrant Sweat, Motorhead Kegs, Presidential Pay Stubs and ROCKtropia records all of which are freely available to conscripts.

The malicious Ruxxnet code is prized by revelers hosting raucus weekend LAN parties in the Eastern Quadrant of the Empire Z building in Zomhattan.

First, I want to freely admit I am stealing much of Hammer's work for this (https://www.planetcalypsoforum.com/forums/showthread.php?273573-Rocktropia-guide). The reason for this is that RL has taken away most of Hammer's time and things have changed on RT requiring updates to the guide, as well as to consolidate other info (Maps, etc). I am also adding links to other's posts that explain various RT specific missions info:

As such, I give you the below:

How To Exit NWO Prison ( If you're not a prisoner)
You may die near the NWO prison LA and revive inside or just explore there and find yourself lost. There have been some rule changes over the years so there is a lot of confusion on what you can do to leave.

If you are just a "visitor" you are free to leave anytime. Lets assume that you are at one of the 2 revive stations, both of which are in the main hall. Jump down from your revival cell onto the main floor. Don't try to walk down the stairs, you will die. Dont try to talk to any npc's you will die.

If you have a flying vehicle, you can just go out to the main yard, spawn it and fly away.
Or there is a one way teleporter that you can find and go to any tp on planet.

Here's how to get to the TP: Face West, you will see the staircase, and also a bench press and a boxing heavy bag. Go towards the heavy bag, and pass by it just to the right and you will see a passageway behind the wall.
Take this passageway and go through the doors. Turn right and go down to end of room and you will see a doorway to the left. Go Through the doorway and go up staircase. Leave stairs when you get to 3d level ( next to last) and enter empty room. Turn left, then turn left again and you will see another staircase. Take this up and it winds around and you will come to the TP.

If you just want to spawn a vehicle outside , go East from the middle of main hall just passing South of some tables. When you come to the wall turn right then go through the doors into mess hall. Go Straight and you will come to another wall with tt, repair, crafting machine. Take the door on the right and go through hallway until you come to another room with a cage. Go Through the double doors and you will be out on the yard where you can spawn a vehicle.

Back in floor of the Main Hall, There is a guard by the main stairs. He is a televator, not an npc. You can take him down to level 0, there are a few prison cell shops. A few are active.

Company Missions

Company Mission "The Cure"
For those who finished the prison chain, There are some Company missions: There is a relatively new one called "The Cure"
NPC is Medical Officer inside Company Safe House. Mission is to kill 50k points of Intelligent Zombies: Prospects 1 pt, Enforcers 2 pts, Decomposing 3 pts, Nomads 4 pts, and Outlaws 5 pts.

Reward: Company Issued Zombie Vaccine which gives access to infected or contaminated zombies.

There is a "Rogue Trader" NPC in the penthouse of the Chelsea building that exchanges various items for loots. I went to him and exchanged the Zombie Vaccine and received a Mindkey. i gather this is used to start Virus Kong waves in Hell. My only problem is that this Mindkey is not tradeable, while the Zombie Vaccine is.

Yes.

Welcome to the Robot Armor Shop, a shop dedicated to Armor protection best suited for hunting all types of Robots on Calypso. Robots have in common that they typically inflict a combination of Penetration and Burn damage, sometimes along with another damage type such as Impact, Shrapnel or Electric. Some examples of these are: Trooper, Warrior, Drone, Droka, Legionnaire, Attacker, Defender and Core Harbinger.

Some of the more popular Armors among robot hunters are for example Shadow, Pegasus, Hermes, Infiltrator, Martial, Cetus and of course the unlimited ones, Hunter ME, Adjusted Vigilante and Nemesis.

When I decided to create this Robot Armor Shop I was very interested in being able to compare Armors to see which ones were stronger and which ones had more Burn or more Penetration damage so I created a Table which would show exactly that. I am sharing this table with you below as I have come to realize that this a pretty useful tool.

new_burn_pen_table.jpg

Along the bottom of this table you will see that Armors with mostly Burn protection are located on the left side while Armors with mostly Penetration protection are located on the right side of the table. All Armors having a balanced amount of both Burn and Penetration protection will be found in the center.

Along the left edge of the table is the total amount of Burn / Pen protection. The higher the number, the stronger the armor is. For example Pegasus is found at the top, in the row showing the number 80-99, because Pegasus has 52 Burn protection and 43 Penetration, which makes a total of 95 together.

At the top of the table I have added the names of mobs that typically could be hunted using armors in this table.

And lastly, I have color coded all Armor names so it's easy to see at a glance whether the Armor is available only in a Limited version (yellow), Unlimited version (blue), or both (white).

Note that some Armors have been omitted from this table for clarity, either because they are not well suited for defending against Burn / Pen damage creatures, or are no longer available or unique.

Cheers o/

paypal withdrawals

so, you CAN withdrawal via paypal...

All withdrawals are made directly to the account holder's bank account, with exception for participants in the US who can use Paypal under these terms:

• One withdrawal up to 600 USD via PayPal per month.
• MindArk covers the PayPal fee.

Please note that the only currency for PayPal withdrawals is USD and that your full name and address must be correct in your Entropia Universe Account.

To make a PayPal withdrawal, select the option "via bank" and write PAYPAL in the field "Bank BIC". After submitting the withdrawal request you will receive a withdrawal ID. You should then contact support and choose the category "Withdrawals", include the withdrawal ID and your PayPal email address. The transfer will be made to your PayPal account once all other usual withdrawal precautions and procedures are completed.

In the future, we plan to make it possible to specify the PayPal email address when making a withdrawal.

Broken passive

New system broke autoloot passive's ability. Please bring it back or some new substitute that works similarly to the way it used to work...

just did a test with an autoloot pet, and you are right. Tried using F and select next and neither work the way old autotool and select next did. Mindark if you are reading this, PLEASE PUT IT BACK THE WAY THAT YOU USED TO HAVE IT. YOU JUST RENDERED MY ORATAN AXE'S 45 METER AUTOLOOT PASSIVE COMPLETELY USELESS! Thanks.

Support ticket sent, not that it'll do any good?

When autotool existed, you had a three button combo you could use to hunt...

select next->autotool->loot

When that existed, if you had autoloot passive turned on via pet or pill you could condense it down to one button. You just had to tap select next quick key and the system did the rest since it'd go after next mob, kill it, loot for you, and then be ready for you to hit select next again.

The new system broke that since it 'stops' everything after that first mob is killed/looted. I still have select next in quick keys from before but now all that does is look at next mob basically.... has nothing to do with auto anything as that 'interact' quick key F does now... so the new system BROKE THE WAY AUTOLOOT SHOULD WORK! FIX IT PLEASE! When you fix it, please make it work as before where radar determined next mob to 'select' not next mob in avatar's line of sight, next mob as in next closest mob near the avatar even if it was out of sight and behind the avatar... i.e. make this Oratan Axe's 45 meter range actually have some meaning and usefulness again please. Thanks.

http://www.entropiaplanets.com/threads/best-armour-in-the-game.22385/#post-135114
I made this comparison some years ago for Unlimited lower / midlevel armors. Note: these are older figures.. there are more armors out there now and some can even be adjusted/improved/modified (doesnt only include one armor from ark, the rest is caly armor). I personally have stolen imperium armor and it would win this contest. But still valuable if you only look at calypso armors (+ viceroy)

lower mid-level armor comparison
With recent mid-level armor sales threads and the new armors that came from other planets, I wanted to know how the mid-level armors perform on 16 of the most popular mobs you would want to hunt when you are mid-level . So I used entropedia’s armor vs mobs on a number of different mobs. At the end I will try to sort the armors by best choice regardless of money, and the value for money choice.
Included in the list are low/mid level armors upto tiger. Excluded is raven, improved shogun, improved vigilante and community recognition because these armors are either not widely available or not available as a complete set (yet). Nemesis is also excluded because Bear is already a better armor, and not expensive anymore
All armors are plated with 5b. Ofcourse you would use other plates on some mobs, but the idea is to use the plate most hunters use overall. The damage behind the armors is avg dmg dealt. Mobs where the youngest maturity is not really huntable by all armors is excluded (like chompers which is really only doable for a few armors like tiger, jaguar and liakon). If same dmg is dealt, lesser decay decides ranking

11 bear 118
12 viceroy 118
13 gremlin 134

conclusion
tiger remains the best midlevel all round armor but it comes at a price, jaguar second, liakon a nice third.
best value for money in the top 3 goes to liakon.
in the mid range ghoul lives up to its name at a nice 4th spot.
best value for money is either phantom or boar, as those armors are dropping in price rapidly
in the lower range jarhead is the cheap alternative at spot 8.
The specialist armor paradox shows its worth on rextelum, phasm, araneatrox, scipulor, atrox and atrax. The new ‘cursed upon bound’ Viceroy is a top 3 contender for leviathan, kreltin and proteron. It’s almost everywhere a bit better than Gremlin, except evis gen. 03.

The Maze no long has static spawns, but now Turrelion Vlanwings will spawn out of a normal creature spawner.

About time. Wonder if Vlad's been fixed so that he actually loots stuff now?

ah... Cyrene....

Vlad is back to looting again... may be time to go do the daily mazes again if you don't have your Wolpertinger yet? https://cyreneforum.com/threads/add-mazeweaver-certificates-to-vlads-loot.7798/#post-28903

Info on Zorka creation: https://cyreneforum.com/threads/how-to-make-zorra-hk.7768/

Pleak mission may become repeatable or similar to an iron mission at some point:
Hey everyone!

I'll chime in on this since Kris without a doubt knows I wear the feathers better.

Not Yet! It was always a plan I had and was just too lazy to push a few buttons. I'm sure we can figure out a fresh sequels instead of the typical grind fest.

Absolutely! The wings will keep on dropping like normal creature items such as Animal Hide.

Now if they'd just get those apartments I might try to sell my Calypso one in exchange for a Cyrene one...

Xxxxxxxxxxx x.
During last years I have been quite frustrated about (perceived lack of) customer rights in Entropia.
Specifically on customers inability to do anything about unfullfilled promises unless it causes a really
big stir in the community which just cannot be ignored.

After recent activities I concluded that the way how I approached it was wrong,
because I have been demanding changes - which is not acceptable for different reasons.

So I had the idea to instead to create yet another list (yal?)
in as chronological order as possible (most recent first) for what happened/did not happen
to the game by the choice of developers.
Please send suggestions in replies of the thread, and I will update accordingly as possible.
Same with missing year, maybe someone has more detailed tracking for what happened when...

The purpose is for the good as well as the screwups to not be forgotten and to improve going forward.
And to inform the customers of Entropia on the safety of their RC investments based on the history.
Hopefully this is a better idea than my previous threads
(e.g. the one for more transparency have felt bad for abandoning it - most of it is reflected here).

Good developments / used opportunities
  • 2019 - keeping the game that we love alive throughout the good and bad
  • 2019 - introduction of an ingame holding share system
  • * supposing it will be made available for others besides MA
  • * perhaps this even frees up the way to restore inactive LAs like foma daspletors?
  • 2019 - hiring of actual Entropia community activists
  • 2019 - new targeting system (vu 16) after many bugfixes/improvements
  • 2019 - enhancer attachment / detachment improvements
  • 2018.4 - crafting mechanics revamp - e.g. it takes avg 14.7 ped of alternative per amp on D-class In old system it took ~17.11 ped of alt
  • 2018 - promise to concentrate on main game development and no side-quests, so far met
  • 2018 - documented (public) meetings with EU players
  • 2018 - new event system which by definition (as they are not redefined) has better explained rules
  • 2018 - introduction of looter skills
  • 2017 - reducing of lags and improving reliability of connection
  • 2017 - introduction of loot 2.0, efficiency - this was likely the only way out of buff screwups
  • ???? - introduction of crapnel and conversion to universal ammo - necessary to try to save MU on stacks
  • ???? - introduction of CLD - although it is a loan with crazy interest, it is also a way to keep $ in

Developments that could have gone better / unused opportunities
  • 2019 - MA becoming LA manager for CP (damaging LA ownership)
  • 2019 - reported cases of Easter event to end mission before the time runs out
  • 2019 - removal of hp bars in new targeting system (vu 16)
  • 2019 - inability to prevent waves/irregular loot patterns (latest example) FEN event item distribution
  • 2019 - making the same error as last time in arso chip tier costs
  • 2019 - balancing of new items, like advancing 2 top non-lootable items with 13 better ones while keeping others on top for years
  • 2018 - failure of deeptokens
  • ???? - removal of big loots in hunting (missed promotional opportunity)
  • ???? - introduction of explosives crafting and keeping the big loots there as opposed to hunting
  • ???? - bad management of rare loots and discoveries (e.g. big ESI not in rare loot, crap items in rare loot)
  • ???? - basing skill and return system on number of kills/levels not turnover
  • 2017 - undocumented meetings with EU players
  • ???? - many documented failures of events both in rule definition and execution (wrong stats, bugs, ...)
  • ???? - not revamping the tier system which is at 2008 prices, slowness and based on dpp still
  • ???? - not making parameters like dpp visible in item stats, using misleading dpp and dps calculation
  • ???? - failure of planet partners (too many items, failing planets, concept of sub-entities having to compete vs. main itself)
  • ???? - failure of Compet
  • ???? - going from 2 seasonal events to 4 + all the other "attacks" (damaging LA ownership)
  • ???? - drop Easter Rings 2016 - left hand disaster
  • ???? - introduction of EST unlimited limited buff then the buff based better returns
  • ???? - giving out buff items as top event prizes shortly before nerfing them
  • ???? - introducing soulbound items, not removing the restriction for buff based items after buff nerf
  • ???? - introduction of boxes that can only be bought for IRL $ (damaging RCE)
  • ???? - promised voting rights, not implemented still
  • ???? - treatment of all returns close to 90% as "within normal range" vs made statements on efficiency and looter skills
  • ???? - decision to not allow bulk skill trades (damaging RCE)
  • ???? - not sharing the cost of LA percentage to some extent (damaging LA ownership)
  • ???? - redesign terrain making some LAs worth less than before (damaging LA ownership)
  • 2013 - making all maturities loot the same (damaging LA)
  • 2013 - failure to complete the TEN event on Cyrene
  • ???? - not implementing item locking system
  • ???? - not implementing a system tracking all the avatar ingame transactions
  • ???? - not implementing an EntropiaLife like system
  • ???? - not implementing an EntropiaWiki like system
