Inspired by Longtimes Imp Mako Fal hunting log and my recent purchase of the sister blade to that Mako I have decided to start logging my runs and posting a weekly summary of my results.

I will be logging slightly less than Longtime did and will limit myself to the following.

Cost
  • Misc - Pills, Instance Keys, Warps etc
  • Tagger - Decay + Ammo
  • Knife - Knife + Amp
  • Defensive - Healing + Armour
Returns
  • TT
  • MU - Sold item MU, LA Rewards, Event Rewards.
Skills
  • I will only be tracking increase in profession standing. I will not be tracking skill value.
Misc
  • Weekly DPP and Hit % will be tracked


At the moment I will be hunting mobs in the 1k HP range sticking primarily to mobs I can hunt without armour and through the use of only the restoration chip.
I will be grinding Gold Rush for 100% skill pills to assist in the increase of profession level at a faster rate.

2.907 dpp. There are much worse weapons than this at this lvl and probably still cheaper and more fun than chipping. Just look at MF e.g. :rolleyes:

I gonna watch this thread very interested and wish you GL on your journey! :)

I didn't see a finisher listed there , and since they are only 1k hp mobs I would definitely consider one to avoid such overkill.

And also gratz on your recent tier V hof on your blade.

Week 1 has been completed.

I had averaged approx 2.92dpp up until I left Arkadia and began MM and champions League events which has increased my defensive decay significantly (also some enhancers burnt during CL).

I have had a significantly bad streak of runs the past week with some of my MM hours having no globals at all.

Misc: -130.00 (X Pills during Mayhem)

TT: +12,914.97 (82.55%)
MU: +71.85 (0.56%)

Damage: 4,468,563 (2.8561dpp)
Hit: 79,986 (87.64%)

I know that you have seen my log but you should also see my imk2 one from 2 years ago. Please also look at the spreadsheet I made available to show ped leakage on unmaxed weapon. You're almost at 70ped an hour....

I urge you to use arcspark for many levels.. at the very least until 80. You can still use that knife as a finisher.
 
I have read both of your logs (and wish I had the patience to log quite as much as you do).

I will spend another 1-2 weeks with the MANTA as I want to get a baseline of where I am at the lower levels but will then evaluate other blades that I can use to skill with.

How did you find the returns change when you swapped to SIB blades when the dpp between a SIB blade and the Mako were at a similar level?

In my mako thread is a video I made that shows the curves of various weapons over time.

As others have stated, maybe the Arcspark or Xeno-Dagger Scartcher would be better until you hit higher levels. I was looking at this same blade too months ago and luckily I decided to do the SIB route. Maybe one day I can reach Prism of Destruction levels !!!
 
Week 2 completed.

MM again this week. I was doing quite well with only about a 500ped loss on tt for the first 4 days of the week, I then hit a 700ped HoF and then immediately went on a downswing to the final spot of the log.

I still have a number of MU items including points that I have not yet sold.
