MindArk being kind to Alts :cough: sorry Noobs

I don't believe such a thing as "noob luck" exists, it's just people tend to highlight and remember stuff they consider extraordinary. An old player hits 100k, no one remembers it the next week. A noob hits 10k, the story keeps being referred to years later.

No a well know avatar hits a 100k then they are are chosen avatar or work for MA. A noob hits it big then they are Alt or work for MA, well that pattern i see on here. BTW it took me 4 years to get 3 figure HOF.

Noobs have increased luck its a fact. There are far too many examples of fresh accounts hitting Big hofs or looting the items we all want..

please show me the facts.
So far I've only seen speculations and some examples about the issue. But no tested empiric data. :wise:

I know you didn't and I didn't either

I also believe it is connected to a first Deposit and how big the deposit is.

Obviously, you can't "prove" this "theory." But would be a smart business practice for MA to target new money spending players, drop them a big one to hook them. I wouldn't put it past them.

Jupp, after 11 year ingame it's same shit different wrapping when it comes to complaining on the forum.

It's one of the reasons I'm not very active on PCF these days. The forum is helpful in many ways, but my reluctance of using it increase with threads like these.....spend more time sharing the positive things about EU :wise: Afterall it's what keeps many players ingame for more than 10+ years..... What other game can show similar player endurance...?

Everquest.

Well that is complete bullshit because it me over a year to get my first uber...

I've seen about 4 since then but I have the budget of a Mcdonalds part time worker.

Ahahaha "noob luck" ? No this is dynamic, it's useless that you are complaining when a new player hit an uber. First you complain because the low level mobs or crafting bp don't give uber loots as it was 10 years ago, when it does and is not for an uber player , you complain, now if someone hits a tower on his maybe first amped run on a place like Foma (and we all know that you can go big or you can go broke, depends on Lootius) and he get a tower , you all start to cry , let's supose that he is not an alt player , it's simply a new player that wants to enjoy entropia , and hope to see him again getting some big loots , and not only him , all of you.
✌️

I don't see how what you said makes what I said complete bullshit, but I might be missing your point.

I am not talking about all multipliers throughout a players time playing Entropia, just the initial multiplier to get new players or alts especially ones who have deposited a good amount of $ to stay playing and depositing in game.

From a business perspective... If I saw a new player or alt who didn't deposit or deposited only $20... I would be less likely to drop a welcoming multiplier their way because they will probably not invest much money into the game. While another player might drop a first deposit of $200-$2000, well for that individual, I would be a lot more likely to drop a big initial multiplier. After that who cares.

That is just the pattern I have seen. We all know our brains are wired to collect information to form conclusions, and sometimes they are true and sometimes they are not true. That is why this is just my opinion, not fact.

I am not trying to be salty to the guy who hit the tower, it doesn't matter to me. I am also not trying to be salty to MA. I just think it is a good theory to be discussed, and there is nothing wrong with that.

All based on loot theory speculations.
Personally I dont believe in scripted multipliers as some posters claim. So neither do I believe in an "initial" multiplier.
I just think it's a matter of luck. Just like a big slotmachine.

I don't know why we should be afraid to talk about loot theory or to question how MA does or does not do things, did the Natzis win WWII? I don't think it is going to affect the game in a negative way, I actually think it would be a benefit to the game.

no, dont get me wrong, you can surely talk about it.
It's just my opinion about the loot theories that are mentioned here.
Feel free to discuss further ;)

Ironically I found 1.2 k the other day so I don't think all the luck is locked in the realm of newb.

EU is a skill based game. Some believe it's only about RL skills, but some features
are based on ingame skills.
There is no luck coded in the game, there are only features.
Closest thing to luck is timing.
When several features are peaked in efficiency we get "the big one".
I've always had my best loots when I change ranks and levels in pro stands,
happened too many times just to be circumstances.
Some have experienced this and some don't.
Just take a look around posts with hofs and you might find some who mention
they changed level/rank also... ;)

Some say noobs have more luck, never thought of what actually happens
when their "luck" helps out?
Noobs change ranks and levels way more often, so ofc will they have the
chance to get better loots more often.
There is absolutely no guarantee that we get anything, most will probably
not notice it as noobs.

lol, another nice but rather far fetched theory

Yeah, we can call it theory, but I have missed it 4 times between lvl60 and lvl98.
Funny thing is that a lot of people explain noobs "luck" with "it must be luck".
Non seem to give a reason why it happens from a code p.o.v.
Sure, some say it must be due to depos, but depos aren't related to loot
in that way (check out the chart for MAs patent for EU and you'll see what I mean).

Skill based - really:eyecrazy:

The other day I hunted for an hour in MM level 3 on spiders. I got 6 globals. My set up was caly spirit III with 3 damage enhancers and cause amp.

Today I did the same hunt. Exactly same set up. 1 Global.

Where is the skill in this :eyecrazy:

Alt or not. New player or not, always nice to see a decent mining hit.

Don't really understand the complaints.

Beautiful poetry.

It paints such a picture, but you missed "blue friggin moon"

Making love (or maybe venting) neath the Blue Friggin Moon, is incredibly romantic

So you grumpy fuckers can choke on your peds for all I care. As someone who doesn't have a lot to spend almost being dirt poor myself, I'm glad the sometimes that doesn't matter and I can have a slice of pie once in a while.

And if you still have a problem with that, I welcome you to drink all of my sweat off of my asshole. At least then I might get more than a ped for that...

Can I spot you 200 ped simply for this post? Pm me.

How do you expect anyone to take your posts seriously, when you write like that? You could of easily toned it down and left out the immature name calling. Seriously if I was moderator I will give you time out, till you could start act like civil adult and speak with less profanity.

He is right and in this instance, even all the profanity is justified. I actually consider it already toned down to pass moderation. The class of addressees deserves all of it and more.

That "Barkin at da Mune" post was actually toned down!! :eyecrazy:

Whether justified or not, that style of post says certain things about the poster,
The kindest being he either forgot to take his meds again or is mixing them with alcohol

Don't look that hard on the words used in that post, try to look at the meaning instead.

What meaning? Have you seen the post history of this particular forum user?

It's all rage, bitching, calling names and bashing the game. Scam here, casino there, everybody's dumb and a long etc...

Today he was bored and decided to bump and old-ish thread just to vent his childish rage.

That's his contribution to the community.

The meaning = people are jealous of new players or non-ubers that are successful.

Yes I have seen his earlier posts, and neither him or his posts impress me in anyway, but in
this post, the meaning of it is right, as long as its about non-alt avatars.

Some people just can't see the system from a code concept p.o.v and at least try to
figure out a reason why even noobs can get good loots.
All they do is complain about "luck", or other things that have nothing to do with
what really happened: a process in action and code that gave someone a
loot based on efficient values in build up for the pay out.
I doubt many of those that had one of these good loots understood what
happened though, from a system p.o.v ... :silly2:
