Any ideas why DNA Fragment A has become super rare?
Unfortunately you need 3 to seed any plant, yet they are so rare now.

Any ideas which mobs drop them?

Cheers

The information in DNA is stored as a code made up of four chemical bases: adenine (A), guanine (G), cytosine (C), and thymine (T).

You seem to be looking for Adenine...afaik you are born with it.

Seems you just need one anyhow, since DNA can replicate.

Quite a few missense mutations then?

I'm pretty sure I looted a DNA A from an Atrox about a month ago - maybe it's been nerfed since? I definitely looted DNA C from a spider though, so maybe it's just the A sample?

Brood's in CP Cave seem to drop A's

Just recently looted A from Atrox, so can confirm they drop them/it.
Was one in a nice global.

All the best,

Indica

So the DNA A actually has a MU now?

Droprate has changed as what was once regularly TT'd (and thus, looted again) now is not. Likely a bunch is being stored in case something good comes from transgen plant crafting.

I think we have a bug where the DNA consumed by gardening doesn't count towards the total so the game thinks there are too many out there even though they are being consumed.

Highly likely :)

Unlikely you mean. Don't underestimate those that hoard in storage.....

More would have been hoarded pre use then now with a proper use. There is for sure less in storange now then before.
