Anyone know what's going on with this? If I understand correctly, the game is in it's fourth month of being live.
I tried downloading the game last night, I did not find it as easy to play as other similar games. Mousing over a building should bring up a tooltip, but doesn't, you have to click on each building individually, then go back to the previous menu to find out what each building does. I probably didn't give it a fair chance, but after about 10 minutes, I stopped playing, I just wasn't feeling it.
When I had logged on, I was hoping that the game would entice me to want to spend real life cash on it, like one of those war games, but I didn't even want to play it for free. I cede, maybe I'm not the target market.
I understand where MA is coming from here with the secrecy. If they said something to the effect of "compet has had no income in the first three months," then it could kill confidence in the game, so they can't say that. Still, the sparse, non-specific response from devs is exactly what one would say if that were the case.
I really want Compet to succeed. I want the people who invested in deeds to start getting a return. I want the fact that Kim and others were taken away from this game, not to have been for nothing.
How long do you think it will be until payouts start? Do you think they pushed it out of beta too soon? Because it feels like it's still in beta phase. There was a comment on the other forums that they don't want to advertise Compet until it's in a better state of development, but if it's anything like EU, it's going to always be in a state of development.
