Is there a solution to MM - what would we like to see?

Why would I laugh? 20 globals a year is your pace and you're fine with that. That is a good thing. But like it or not that shows your very little experience with the game mechanics, IMO. New players and MA should consider that too, when looking at your loot theories, advice, opinions of how things work and how they should work.
I hope you'll do more shooting with those 10k$, maybe in the battle sim if not on puny mobs :)
gl out here

just a hint evey... EL doesnt say an aweful lot. for example about 50% of all my globals were made on toulan, cyrene and monria. many monrian ones didnt get tracked due to not enough trackers. many mobs on cyrene are bugged so they dont show OR there are not always enough trackers working to show it and on toulan nearly all of my globals didnt track due to not enough tracker OR me doing all the wave events which show globals as shared loot thus not counting towards my tracker.
i would say that my tracker calue is not even 50% of my real value in globals. tracker doesnt show you the whole story ... i wonder why so many people rely on that tracker as its some sort of bible. its widely inaccurate for people who tend to not waste their peds on ark or caly. which i mostly dont as the swings are too high due to the amount of hunters on those mobs. u should know this though as you are being in game long enough.

Monria globals are displayed on Calypso, so they're mostly being tracked. (of course, there are other issues with EL, e.g. two globals of the same size may get recorded as one)

No one said EL.com should be taken as 100% accuracy but it's a good indicator of someone's activity during their gaming history in EU.

When someone is saying that loot in hunting is like a casino, and that person has 5 hunting globals and 10 years of being around + 11,800 forum posts... how warm do you think this person is? How well do you think this person knows the game? How much harm can such a post do? Maybe chase away a couple of new players? Do such posts seem OK to you?
There are too many of this type of posts, comments, instead of having helpful tips and advice from the top crafters, hunters, miners, we have walls of crap going towards them when thy dare speak out, which is the real BS, not the MM :D

ah right my bad. i had that happen to me quite a bit on monria events with that double global of same size.
also i started hunting the big crabs on RT from day one, but they were just implemented into EL a week or 2 later so im missing quite a few k peds global value there as well.

if u dont wanne scare away new players u should first of all get rid of EP 4 bp. as that thing shows how unbalanced and useless crafting is right now.

The dev team asked me to share the following:

Planet Calypso hosts several mayhem-style hunting events throughout the year, each with different formats, durations and levels of competition.

Merry Mayhem (solo) leans toward pure damage output and killspeed. Merry Mayhem (FFA) allows participants of all levels and gear to reap rewards, by creating a vibrant market for point tokens. Halloween Mayhem, with its shorter duration and higher variance in the distribution of point tokens, results in many more participants of varying skills and gear reaching high positions on the leaderboards each year.

Similarly, the duration and format of Easter Mayhem creates an exciting opportunity for participants of widely differing gear and experience to place highly.

The Calypso team is constantly tweaking the format and structure of the Mayhem events in response to feedback received from participants, and will continue to do so going forward.

ya it should be removed but some ppls are way to dumb for this game they will lose no matter what lol

its nice to hear some feedback but dont all of the Mayhem events pretty much show the same leaderboard in a little bit different order? i havent seen a medium skilled hunter in any of these and of course no low skilled... so that is not really true.

And why did you not show the list of all participants as you used to do? Is the gap now so big?

Shocker, EU events are for ppl who actually play them, not for people who comment them on the forums...

It's great that Ludvig gave some input.
I found the Merry Snargs were a great event, wish it was repeatable even if I had to pay the TT price of a 2nd MM rifle. (hint)
As for solo or FFA MM event it's only for Uber$ so the simplest solution is never bother participating.

you are intentionally being stupid or is this by accident?

Well, judging by the amount and quality of his posts in this thread we can firmly conclude it's not an accident. :wise:

I'm not very bright, but I am being very stupid for wasting my time with this, yeah, I'll admit.

:bowdown::bowdown::bowdown::bowdown:

Finally!! The first sensible post I see from Evey!!!

A post without insinuations and wrong conclusions. It's all true this time!

Ohh damn, now I gave away that I didnt put you on ignore :silly2:

Thank you, you are too kind.
This still doesn't change that fact you have little clue about the game and you should play it before you come up with ideas to improve it so you know wtf you are talking about.
I had no idea who you were in game but I was spot on that you didn't hunt much, or at all. New players don't sense this and may take you seriously, unfortunately for us all. Too many like you around.

Hof big :)

I would say you are very much overestimating the variation. All of the solo Mayhem events are more or less the same now, since the abolition of MM skill categories. Different mobs, different instance design and different durations have very little effect on the skills, gear and knowledge required to compete.

FFA is something different of course (and I welcome that).

You're welcome. Yeah, I had a short weak moment. Happens.

To bad, after 1 good post you fall back again into your usual condiscending posts.

no idea who you were in game

You still have no idea who I am, so nothing has changed.
As I do not know who you are. Never heard of you before nor read anything usefull from your hand either.
So we're equals in that.

Sure, hunting is the only thing in Entropia, right?
If you dont hunt 24/7 you dont know crap. right?
Crafting, mining, you know anything about that?
Sure, Oh no, wait, you havent done that EVER!

Trading perhaps?

Nah, to complicated for you.

The only thing YOU KNOW ABOUT is to press the autofire button and see what happens.

Well, good for you, you little expert!:lolup::lolup:

Too many like you around.

yeah, but luckilty only a few of the likes of you around

It's ok snowflake, you have a safe space here on the forum to run away from the game and from the bad loot, just try & get less triggered when ppl call on your bs. cheers

Yes nice, you can join me here raindrop.
For when people start to ask you questions about anything else than hunting.

lol, 2 mining globals en 0 crafting globals, and still pretending to know everything of the game while judging others on their lack of globals.

hahahahahaha :lolup::lolup:

Just a thought, and maybe nowhere near to the truth....but..

if MA say events are 'different', yet same peeps are winning...maybe those peeps just really got this game waxed.

Well.... its nice to see we can still have a nice passionate debate on the forum without SPACE being mentioned once.

Good work
