Mindark, make us happy NOW!

Higher levels in pet handler profession could unlock the ability to spawn more than one pet. E.g., level 20 allows you the first additional one, and then one more every 10 levels. I.o.w., number of pets you can spawn at the same time = max(1, floor(pet handler level / 10)). Of course, stacked buffs remain subject to cumulative limits.

First allow us to use pets to hunt ...

While I have just now criticized people's petulance when the dust has barely settled after really big updates, it is true and a long-standing pattern that the concentration on huge (and not always successful) projects seems to impede on capacities and/or motivation for tending to some of the little things which keep getting reported over and over since like forever. It was even responded positively in this thread, but not much in this vein seems to be happening. E.g. some of the oldest UI nuisances could be mended with the smallest of efforts and real impact on customer satisfaction. A kaizen approach to regular, small improvements working down the list of old issues at every minor VU would go a long way. Thank you for your kind consideration.

So true, sadly.

Excuse me dear MindArk executives, but quite frankly the official policy since... well at least the engine switch, has been Let's make something new and shiny! (variation: don't even make, just promise it) - never finish anything, never care about all the unfinished projects left behind. And then lets hope they forget about it.

Remember promises before engine switch, "All features will be brought back on the new engine!"

Reality?

The magnificent Tai Chi style animation while gathering sweat--gone.
Let's throw them that ugly stupid sweating-tool-thing instead and hope they forget what they once had.

The ability to relax and feel at home in this game, gone. Why bother with sit down/lay down animation, that doesn't bring in any money, so--scrap it. And hope they'll just forget.

I could continue this list of examples about the half-assed reckless attitude until the cows go home...

Here's the newsflash, MindArk. Small things often count way more than the relative effort required to fix them. Improve your attitude guys, and you will see a positive effect immediately. People aren't stupid, they can see what your real attitude is.

/End rant

You must spread some...

I believe I have the simplest out of all, wich require minimal effort on MA's part.

Give planetpartners more power over their planets, (With obvious restrictions that they cant make insanely overpowered items that are way to easy to obtain etc).

Let them release a new armor, new clothing, new weaponry, new mobs etc without "you"(mindark) sitting on their asses for 2 years before approving it.

Would help the game immensely and would require little effort (Except reading and double-checking item, mob lists)

lol, great thanks!!!

Hehehe, to think I missed that all the time and it was still there

It was only very recently re-introduced (iirc somewhere around June VU). You can check the relevant release notes.

Now that took only... what, 7 years? I understand the old game had a lot of hand-programmed, endearing features which fell victim to limitations of the chosen platform. But it was promised to bring them back and never said it was impossible or exceedingly difficult to do. Just silently forgotten about them and hoped grass would grow over it. If there had been any announcement explaining why this or that is no longer feasible, people would eventually understand. But like that... sorry, not approved. I said to some friends recently that it was lucky I was on hibernation between 2007 and 2011, otherwise I would have quit over the transition. Returned to a new game after the pause, but miss it still today.

And. Please. Stop. Devastating. Calypso. What's the matter with this design team? The new events and missions are cool, the ongoing desertification is not. Hadesheim... at least had a story to go with it, sad as it is. But with all the rest, nobody bothered to offer any rhyme or reason. By the thinning-out of our once primary Allo/Esto spawn I can tell that Limnadian District is probably set for destruction next, possibly together with Atlas Haven. Am I right? Is there an overarching, grand apocalyptic story behind all this? If so, you need to do something different to make it credible. I am thinking of "grandcycles" like in this SF series as inspiration. Otherwise you'll keep having as many people leave or cut down their activities as new ones can be found.

Okay, this was my rant. Yea, got triggered by the very like-minded example.

Back to concrete suggestions of small, easy changes as OP intended. Cheers to all who have something positive to offer rather than just complaining.

I am not happy with the removal of the ability to create support cases in-game. I understand its editing functions were rather simple and there is little motivation to reinvent the wheel, but it was good enough for the purpose. Most of all, it was quick to report a problem or a scammer. Most times now I find myself already having lost the momentum when I have to fire up the browser and perform a separate login just for that. The thought goes, maybe someone else already reported it, why bother. And I begin to suspect that this was the whole purpose, to reduce the number of support cases filed. Screw you, psychology.

There are two yellow warning messages given when your equipped tool is about to expire or needs repair.

I've been nagging about this countless times, but I'd like to see "show-stopping" messages in the current chat window.

If you use more than one tab, and you have one tab for main chat, one tab for system messages, one tab for rookie etc, then it's very likely that when an item breaks, the messages goes into the System tab (because you don't want main chat window getting spammed by other messages), and you won't see it if you are in Another tab (for instance main chat because you want to follow a discussion in soc chat). So each time a weapon breaks, you find yourself stop dealing damage, after a minute you start to curse lag, and then you switch to system chat to see what happend. And find 10 lines with "your item just broke" message.

Another thing, when the above happens, it would be nice if a broken attachment would just auto-eject. So you can finish the mob you're on (though with less efficiency) and you don't have to open inventory window, find the broken attachment (=most likely the weapon amp), try to detach it, notice you're still holding the weapon (doh!) so unequip weapon first, try again (all this while taking damage from mob in front of you), and *then* finish the mob. And, well, I'd just mention the related event "fap breaks (silently)".

With "show stopping events" I mean things that happened that means that you need to perform an action to continue. A related one, for instance, is when you're using your quad as temporary storage (because of +200 items), you try to go into space and nothign happens when you press the "ok" button. Or when you try to spawn your quad on mothership doing down to planet (when you used it to store your spare armor sets on the planet you just left).

I wish to be able to unsubscribe from Rookie channel. I don't participate in it and keep it muted anyway, but I keep my chat file and it adds bloat I didn't choose to have. Plus the traffic over my mobile which I'm still paying for by volume. Thank you.

No, I meant the pet to extract only, when you have some higher hof of oil or lyst. With tt excavator, 1k ped of lyst is +-5,5 hours.

I wonder if it would be better to alter it so a tower comes not on ped value but on number of extractions. so a lyst might tower at 500 but iron at

Some ppl like to extract about the skills. But yea, i would like to have pets can extract. Maybe they need a extractor tool for pets then. This could be a crafted item, using some rare ores.

In the crafting interface, please enable direct browsing to component blueprints from the ingredients section, and back, i.e. a simple backward-forward mechanism like we're used to in web browsers. To the right of the headline "Ingredients:" is enough space for two small arrows. Enable or disable (grey out) as applicable.

And a repeat request: Please enable purchasing of TT ingredients directly out of the crafting interface. Use the disabled "?" icon for minimal effort. Very importantly, fix the same for the Virtual Tycoon app. While the app needs more work anyway, this is a showstopper in the current environment. If there are good reasons o.t.o.h. to not enable EP gambling from the Android app, please say so and use a different component for the legitimate item crafting to keep them separate.

I like what these guys are doing:
Patch Files (Direct Download)

To make the patching process easier for players with limited download caps, we'll be providing direct download links for the patch file(s) that comprise this patch. This will allow you to download the patch file(s) elsewhere, for manual injection into the MWO patcher through a Patch Cache folder.
Aside from allowing you to download the patch file(s) elsewhere, on another connection, there are no additional benefits to performing the patch this way; the patching process itself will be the same.
You can just grab the download with a phone from a hotspot, no need to haul the pc there if you're one of those with a mobile connection at home and paying volume charges. Mentioned it before, if MindArk were to consider this simple fix, a potential customer base in a lot more countries could be reached more easily.

oh and please let us buttslide again - i'd even pay movement decay, like for some of your stupid L vehicles

buttsliding is state of the art! :yup:

Expand player base and please enough with the fake loot waves from shared mobs.

Funny how most bitch loot against Mindark. ( I too am guilty of this at times when not thinking) . Has it ever occured to you that they have outsourced the entire loot distribution mechanics of this platform to a Malaysian company off-shore? Horrific thought, I know.

Now that people, is insanity. But I must wonder, would Gothenborg realy reliquish total control of the loot system payouts 5k+ ?? Would you? ( Unless its connected to some serious legal loop-hole.)

If I had to outsource faced with same scenario, my primary preference would be the vegas American Indian Casino Cartels instead. Theyre better and experienced at it. The guys, who set their slots to High-pay-out rates, which increases foot-traffic, and in turn increases turnover, and profit. Brilliant and better for Entropia too. As it will proppell this game to hights never anticipated before.

The greedy and crooked, hire crooks to steal for them, to sleep at night, they distance themselves from their doings. And spend no though on it, when spending the "profits".

Keep them coming!

I got into pets when they were reintroduced a few years ago, because Mindark made many promises that they were committed to pet content and more systems. At the moment pets are really just counters, since rings do much more without the enormous effort, time a patience required to train pets.

What's more is MA appear to have no regard for rarity at all. Dumping 100's of mythical rabbits on the community, was equivalent of dumping tons of rare weapons on the market. It's just wrong in so many ways, it's as if Mindark use pets as cash income with no regards at all to the delicate market balance in an RCE game.

Surely there's some easy wins, like allowing pets to tag mobs or being healing pets...give us some things to unlock. Pets are crying out for purpose especially the top end pets. It's a real shame as the Caly pets are really nicely animated....but they have next to nothing to do.

Communication from Mindark is awful, and regarding pets it's even worse.... terrible in fact especially the Compet situation. You guys haven't even reactivated the season now, so the Arena is out of action. Many players backed Mindark with pets in general across both Mindark platofrms and we feel seriously let down over the last 4 years. It is hurting EU this total silence regarding Compet.

To be honest, I've lost faith. I don't believe anything is going to be done. The biggest message you can take upstairs; is the Mindark management are fast losing the trust, belief and support of their loyal customers. It's a really sad situation right now. It needs urgent action to turn things around.

Communicate please. I don't want to financially support Mindark anymore if this silence continues, I've run out of patience.

Give us BLP Rifles for SIB 60 - 80 (L) that dosn't cost 150%++++++++ MU , have literally almost zero hunting loot in the craft recipe and last only for <2k shoots fired

If you not out for the competition (were you need high tired UL guns anyways) at those MU the guns are a no go if you dont want to break your wallet and cry out loud the loot is so bad (but yeah when the gun MU you pay is over 5% of the potion of peds you can cycle until it break and you need a new one, i guess its eaaaasy to get <90% return).

Shooting this gun wont give you better returns, most of the stuff those guns build up is made from ores and enmatter. So i hunt mobs with no MU loot to fund miners and crafters who dont want to buy my loot in return
The efficency of those ark guns is petty good but it dosnt offset the markup at all.

Even with that efficency rate i believe anything over 112% MU is just killing yourself and im not the only person complaining that they can't find affordable (L) guns in the sib range mentioned above.

Mindark Final Boardroom Meeting

I think this is a pretty accurate representation of how a boardroom meeting goes at Mindark.

have literally almost zero hunting loot in the craft recipe

The Armatrix BC 60/65/70

All use Simple II Plastic Springs - uses fairly much hunting loot (oils), in both steps - Simple I Springs 100% and then Simple II Springs use oils again + the I springs

Beside that:
Geotrek Talytic converters and Super Alloy Mountings, use hunting loot aswell (robot loot).

Its far away from almost zero hunting loots used !

Do you craft at all?
Except the EPIV BP ?

Edit (details) :

BC-60:
-- 252 Muscle Oil, 128 Eye Oil, 18 Panc Oil, 63 Robot Heat Sink (on 100% success crafting)

BC-65:
-- 280 Muscle Oil, 140 Eye Oil, 20 Panc Oil, 36 Robot Safty System (on 100% success crafting)

BC-70:
-- 224 Muscle Oil, 112 Eye Oil, 16 Panc Oil, 48 Robot Safty System (on 100% success crafting)

Considering that 100% success in crafting the components will never happen, it consumes a much higher amount of this hunting loots.

Bits and pieces to find on ground.
The TT value would mostly be minimal, but on a rare occasion a HOF could be found, but not seen before picked up.

Maybe garbage collection could be a new skill?

*snip snap*

You are right, i dont craft at all and i got some things really wrong. (what made you think i'd touch explosives when i nag about bad returns and missing Markup ? :eyecrazy: )

Weapon: ArMatrix BC-70 (L)

Total TT without Nanocubes 21,74 (With Nanocubes 29)

Heavy-Duty Seals 8 0.64 100% Mining Loot
Reinforced Plate 8 0.32 100% Mining Loot
Triphased Wires 8 0.96 100% Mining Loot
Simple II Plastic Springs 8 6.00 100% Hunting Loot
Terrudite Ingot 1 3.30 100% Mining Loot
Henren Cube 2 2.52 100% Mining Loot
Nanocube 726 7.26 TT
GeoTrek Talytic Converters 8 8.00 51,43% Hunting Loot 48,57% Mining Loot (rounded)

TT Hunting Loot 10,1144 Ped
TT Ore/Enmatter 11,6256 Ped

If i look at the Mu distribution Ores/Enmatter vs Oils/Robot components im still not happy but its not as worse as i said it is. This happen when you only glance at the recipe, see mainly mining loot and fail to look closer at the TT distribution. I also had pre Migration MU on those guns in mind because i havn't looked at them for quite a while now and the BC-70 is down to 138% wich isn't as bad when i was only able to find them between 165% - 175% and people was buying them for that price.

With the current Mu, the extra spend amount to aquire this gun equals more like 2% of total peds cycled with dante amp and slightly lower if a p20 extender is attached.

So sloppy research and old information lead to a big F*** up post , im sorry :)

I still believe using those guns at the current prices is not eco in the long run but the bleed out is much slower than i anticipated in my post above.

Unless hunting loots MU get more adjusted towards ore / enmatter MU i feel mindark have room to improve my hunting expirience either with more Mu or cheaper guns.

The alternative would be a UL gun wich would be sad, because this dosn't help the economy at all.
