Regardless of our collective anger and frustration, there is little incentive for MindArk to change the bullshit we all know as explosive projectile crafting. I think we all agree the reason it is bullshit is it requires only 1 ingredient that is available at the trade terminal.... damn, sounds like tokens you get from a casino teller to feed the slot machines, doesn't it?
Why won't MindArk change? It is the least resource-consuming activity in all of Entropia. No need for high-end graphics card or fast internet when the avatar is just standing there on auto-click -- there doesn't even need to be a human at the computer.

Adding to the frustration about MindArk's unwillingness to change EP crafting is how they have changed many other things in the past... what items are no longer available from trade terminals? What about Earth Shock Trooper armor?

How about adding an EP hopper. Get rid of nanocubes. Make EP ingredients any resource or animal oil. If that is too difficult, then change the bp and add many different new EP bps that use different resources.
 
That blueprint attracts gamblers to the game which is good for mindark as it makes them good amount of money. Why would they ever change that ?

Merge EP crafting with Compets and put them into Battle Simulator. Don't report any globals/HOFs to the outside universe. Problem solved. :)
 
Maybe there should be a new item "Self Styled Uber Tears" that could be added to the Raw Materials required to make EPs.
It seems to be a relatively common item.

I am not putting access to PE on my phone, with my luck, I will be broke in no time :laugh:
 
I craft ep myself and I do agree on that it shouldn't just be tt shit!! But what I do mind is that it's always the same ppl getting the ubers! I know that bp is rarely profit but when i can recycle 10k a day on a lvl3 bp and only have ONE good day a month where i can keep going til the next day i get pissy! I put alot of money on that bp so I put my share in the loot pool and I honestly don't expect hofs or big globals but would be nice with some more balanced and stedy loot so there is a chance for more then 1 day in glory.....
 
ATHs always strike a big range of emotions.

We have seen such a thing before. There was that period of months where there were ATHs VERY often.
I think it's always good to see it still happens, but the consistent reaction I hear from people is they
rather see 5 people get 20k instead of one get 200k, and so on.

Returns are the MAIN issue in this game IMO and why I have dropped out for a year. Seeing one person get rich doesn't spark hope in me, it spells more defeat.

Grats to the ATHs though - I want to keep the good spirit alive.
 
Better stop complaining and start clicking those ep bps for your chance at an ATH while its still easy. Every time a new ath pops up it gets a little bit harder for everyone else to try and get on the board.
 
The hof list consisting of 95% EP4 is what's exhausting to me.

It breaks the immersion from the game and it's spammy as hell. It's like these players aren't even playing the game.

I draw parallels between ep4 crafters and online item store spammers for games like D2. It's just plain frustrating. I don't care how many ATHs there are or who hits them, it's the LACK OF BALANCE that annoys me. If crafters get 20 ped/click stuff then give miners lvl 13 amps in the TT and slugstorms/m83s for all.

The game would be absolute shit in that scenario, so in my eyes that shouldn't exist for crafting either. Nothing above EP3 should be able to be crafted for TT value. I suppose it's the scaling that I don't like.

Just ignore em, most crafters are losing so heavily that a ath won't cover the loses.

It could be fixed by simply removing ep and make it tradable UA, not TTable. Would mean they have to trade or shoot it. Plus we may get cheap UA to use
 
I don't see any different between a slot machine and EP crafting. Exactly near same mechanic, except it needs a 100% BP and some skills. But you can easy buy a ep and also the skills (entry price).

I tougth Entropia is not allowed to be a casino!

But the thing is, MA do not seem interested in making limited items competitive compared to unlimited. This problem is a balance issue in 'cost to craft' vs eco.

Over the years people have all come around to the fact that, the less you spend killing the creature, the more loot you get back.

So now it is all about eco, (helped by MA confirming this).

So now 'ALL' limited items are pretty much worthless.

Solutions that probably won't work:
- stop dropping any unlimited item
- improve eco of anything crafted


As EP's don't effect anyting, apart from metal residue and as a consequence amp price and as a consequence markup on ores, but as ores/enmatters have little use anyway now, then the residual effect is minimal.

When EP's were introduced we went from 400k per week crafting globals to 2-5million per week, for MA that is a gold mine. And to be fair, good luck to them. (I just wish they removed metal residue from being looted, but they probably also like reduced markup on ores)

Fix crafting first, then see what happens.

But while the EP's exist and people losing gambling on them, there will always be threads saying, 'I hate EPs'.

I see that several peeps say it doesn't affect hunting. I kind of don't agree. The loot is determined by ped cycled, at least that is my understanding. So, the more ped in the loot pool the more ped to give out and I just checked ET and crafting loot is about twice that of hunting. I don't have anything against crafting, just that I find it boring, but I think it has taken a lot of ped from the hunting loot pool (because a lot of peeps have moved over to crafting) and has hurt the returns of hunting. I do think that some players think they can make a living here and I don't think that will happen in all but a few and I would be willing to bet it would be because they stopped when the got ahead.
 
This "game" is much like real life, the rich will get richer, and you know the rest. I say this as a guy doing pretty well in real life, and a very lower middle player here.

The mechanics are just setup that way. It's written all over every forum or youtube video or whatever, yet here we all sit.

The truth is, alot of players are just having fun and hoping one day for a decent HOF or ATH... and for 99% of us it's never going to happen, yet we're still here. Honestly there must be something wrong with us :laugh:.

MA, and the Ubers feed off of most of the rest of us. I see stories of depositing $200 a month constantly, or .. 4x a year or whatever it is. That's the cycle this machine lives off of.

Another year will go by, and most of us will keep having the same result. Outside of the few "lucky" ones, the rich in this game will continue to get richer. As will MA.

Thats it, really.
 
You are all saying that EP affects nothing, you really play the same games as me? I spent 5 years crafting weapons and various other BPs so I misuse the resources of the miners so I pay the% and the crazy one BP imagine by silly man who uses no resources of the game then why the miners will i mine for 103 / 105%, but think a little.
You may be sneezing to see people ATH on lvl2 or OA101 but at least ca allow to make something work, we crazy a BP because a guy understood that there were people addict to the HOF.
And he has created a bp allowing to recover a lot of money by bringing nothing to the virtual world

May all the rares ores could be add to high level EP. They most don't have any MU now and get trashed to TT. This would also generate, that ppl more buy L finders to get the deept for rare ores. So crafters could craft some L finders then.

Sweat could be add to the low level EP's. For balancing a bit, they could redouce the nanocubes a bit.

Otherweise i dont see any different to a slotmachine! Buy coins(nanocubes) insert coins, maybe win.

You have taken care of the miners and sweaters how about eye oil or something for the hunters ?
