Neomex​

Description

The Neomex are the sibling species of the Marcimex (making them morphologically almost identical). They inhabit the sea caves of Calypso where they hunt spiders, fish, snails and salamanders. Neomex are practically blind but react aggressively to loud noises and sudden movements.

Builder
Builders head a large group of female worker Neomex. Their jaws can easily crush and tear solid rock.

Weaver
Weavers specially prepare live prey for their Queens, wrapping the captured creatures in fine silk from their spinnerets.

Update on the cave : The glands, looted from the LT ( during migration 2017) make the Neomex a maturity higher.
with the LT gland, Neomex Watcher ( lvl8) spawn in the place of the weak (lvl 5).
Force nexus stone then require a gland from an neomex elite watcher, supposingly from the boss, to get to the next version.

edit: confirmed, got the gland, see post below.

The gland dropped on the elite watcher, worth 1 pec.


in the picture : stat of the weak elite, watcher elite gland and neomex soldier stat,
neomex soldier stat = neomex watcher elite. both are lvl 13.

Edit : Stone ask for " Neomex Breeder Pheromone gland" now

updated Entropedia, im guessing there will be many, many more maturities to be found as its following the likes of Rex
 
next step Neomex breeder pheromon gland ( lv18) and the new " neomex strong ( lvl 18 too)


Oh and they are sweatable

So the Breeder is the boss when you have Soldiers in the cave, and there's no Soldier Elite, right?

The Missing Scientist missions guide you, eventually, to the cave, but am I right thinking that you can get into the cave without having to do the missions?
 
Ravager Elite and Builder glands have been discovered now, so I'm guessing the Ravager Elite creates Devastators with their boss being the Builder. I've added those to the table without data for the moment, to fill in later (or change it if I'm wrong).

I notice that the 'special' bosses with the different names are following the same pattern that divides Marcimex maturities into separate areas in Cyclops Depths. My guess is that following the Builder we'll have Hunter, Hunter Elite, Chaser, Chaser Elite, Majestic and then something else before the Queens appear as the final 'level' with a special boss of some sort.

I've heard you can go straight in, you just dont get the blueprint as a reward unless you follow the mission chain to completion.
 
From twitch stream, neomex hunter are lvl 35 and have 3k hp.
I don't know where on the scale it is.
After the hunter elite, chaser , lvl 41 , chaser elite * unknow level* , Majestic lvl 48, then boss then Queen lvl 62

After some testing with an isis LLC 2 Merry edition (5.5-11 dmg, 43 hit min), it took me approximatly 600 to 610 second to kill a neomex Lv18.

The gun has a dps of 5.9125. So I dealt between 3547.5 and 3606 damage. As a Lvl 18 neomex has 1520 HP, that mean the regen of those is between ((5.9125*600)-1520)/600= 3.38 hp/s and (5.9125*610)-1520)/610 = 3.42 hp/sec. lets cut it to 3.4HP sec.

So it is huntable with very basic weapons.

FYI - for the 5th mission it's not based around number of drops but number of extractions. I was doing drops with TT finder and not drilling (>30 claims) then got the mission when I drilled the 4th claim.
 


First one ever killed, It spawned after about 1 hour of killing queens! It didn't even global :eyecrazy:
 
The empress was lvl 102
Ravager elite lvl 29 and Devastator lvl 30

How to you spawn using the LT pheromones?
 
I only see the Nexus rocks and they are purple, then said they require slime

There are few purple rocks there in the cave. Try the others...
 
I've tried them all, I have left the instance 2x and tried to get in another one, I've killed Watchers

I have 5 LT glands in my inventory

"The glands, looted from the LT ( during migration 2017) make the Neomex a maturity higher."
This is posted on one of the first replies in this thread, but no one ever says HOW. Please say how you do it.

The glands looted from LT can ONLY be used in the instance when 'Weak Neomex' are the current spawn. For all other maturity upgrades the gland that drops from the bosses (And is not tradeable) must be used.

This means you can have a Neomex cavern all to yourself.
Create team, enter cavern, disband team, hunt solo as long as you want or cavern times out.
Might be particularly useful for those that do not want the higher maturities.

Also, this allows someone to collect pheromones for higher levels as well as a way to sell them indirectly.
