I have decided to start a hunting log. I am level 47 BLP Sniper (HIT) and Level 42 BLP (DMG). I am level 27 Evader and level 16 Dodger. I have 144 HP (<----These will be updated as I level up)

I have an unlimited Tier 7 Calytrek CR Spirit MKI which I will be doing most hunts with. The weapon is maxed. Depending on the mob/maturity I may or may not use damage enhancers in one or more slots. When I do I will note how many broke during the hunt. I use a finisher weapon tailored to the mob, usually a Binary Mayhem R1, R2, or R3.

I have 2 Fi/Ra/Co Beast amps and 1 Fi/Ra/Co Dante amp.

I have several different sets of armor: Pixie, Adjusted Pixie, Shogun, Vigilante, Gremlin and Mah'ketta.
I have full sets of Pulsar Plate 2, 5b and 6a plates.
I have a Berserkers Helm (5% faster reload).
I have a Modified Ares Ring which is worn every hunt for the faster reload.

I own a Modified EMT Kit EK-2350 FAP.

I have accepted every iron mission from the hunting challenge terminal, and most of my hunts will be in pursuit of completion of those missions. My goal with iron missions is to get Evade skill, so if that is available I take that as a reward, and if not then i take something that contributes toward Evader profession. If tokens are offered i usually take those along with skill that meets the above criteria. I also do all daily missions i am capable of doing, including the Feffoid cave.

so you are saying that in the 99 other kills besides your global, you only received 34.28 ped?
I call bs. considering those mobs are roughly 3.5 ped to kill if you are killing the smallest mobs, you are saying your loot was consistently no higher than 9.7% return on each of those kills outside of the 76 ped global.

i started the hunt with 307.87 ped ammo, then when i ran out i converted looted shrapnel over and over until the 100 Rex were killed. The numbers you see in the log are the final value of loots plus remaining ammo minus decay and minus enhancers broken. I don't note shrapnel converted since it is being used and it cancels out, see?


the value labeled Loot is remaining ammo+ all loot
the value labeled Ammo Used is the initial supply of ammo

also, i was killing maturities of weak through ravager, not all weaks

well as far as your shrapnel conversion canceling it out, it only cancels it out if you had the amount converted to your loot as well as your total ammo spent. if you do not then do not have an accurate representation of returns. you must either not convert, or you have to add to ammo used AND total loot.

edit: all you are showing is your return OUTSIDE of shrapnel. I understand your thought process but it is flawed and giving you a misrepresentation of your actual stats.

that being said, your returns are much different than stated. I would be interested to know your actual results with the proper mathematics used in the equations.

if i start out the hunt with 100 ammo, then proceed to loot 100 shrapnel and convert it and continue hunting and end the hunt with 100 more loot, it can look 2 ways, lets say i had 20 ped decay:

My method:
Loot +100
Initial supply of ammo -100
Decay: -20
Profit/Loss: -20



Method 2:
Initial supply of ammo: -100
Loot: 100
Converted 100 ped shrapnel +101
Used -101 ped universal ammo
Decay -20
profit/loss: -20




See? the end result is exactly the same. The results at the end are all that is needed, no need to clutter up the log with data that cancels out.

Also, as I stated, if there is ammo left over after the hunt it is added to loot, so no matter how many times i convert the shrapnel all that matters is the amount left over, if any, at the end of the hunt, and it is accounted for in the Loot if there is any left over.

if you see a flaw in my logic please explain it to me. I am not against change if i am wrong. I simply do not see the point in doing it your way vs mine.

it clutters up the log imo for instance the rexteleum run i did i converted the shrapnel like 6 times before i had killed the 100th one, and i added what ammo i had left to the total loot. if i had noted every time i converted the ammo thats 6 more lines of txt only to have had 99% of that converted ammo used up and thus cancelled out.

Ok, from now on I am going to add shrapnel that I convert to the Total Loot, and add the universal ammo to Total Ammo Used. I do not see how it changes the final Profit/Loss calculation, but will do it anyway.

Recording or not recording converted shrapnel doesn't affect your absolute profit/loss. The total amount of TT gained or lost is the same either way.

It does affect your % return however. If you want to calculate that properly, you need to account for the converted shrapnel by adding it your totals as you've done in the latest post.

Since you haven't been posting the % return in your results anyway, your earlier posts aren't wrong, but they're not as informative as that most recent one.
 
Can't see anything wrong to what you were doing before.
If you start with X peds,even if you convert shrap 7 times,you end up with Y peds...Y-X=Z which is your loss or gain.Simple and very accurate math.
