but to expect swirlies on a 100 ped run?
Well, it wasn′t a 100 PED run, was it.
Let′s have some numbers.
PEDs cycled: 504.29
L00t events on Eudorian Devils: 340
L00t events on Sapphire Devils: 24
L00t event on Chirin Dragons: 1
Total Return: 77.36 % TT
Total Return w/ Bonus: 80.35 % TT
Globals: 0
Items: 0
Before L00t 2.0 you could have some general ideas about l00t. I will be simplifying a bit, based on a theoretical mob costing 1 PED to kill each.
There was what I call base l00t, which for my ava in the years before empirically amounted to 45 % TT return. And there was what I call enhanced l00t, being governed by multipliers, minimum a bit less than 3.5×, then 5×, 10×, 25×, and so on.
Also empirically, I could expect about 3 cases of enhanced l00t in 100 l00t events.
You′d do a 100 PED run (100 kills), get your base l00t 45 %, get your average 3 enhanced l00ts, say, with 10×, 10×, and 25× mults––voilà, there′s your famous 90 % TT back.
You′d do a 100 PED run (100 kills), get your base l00t 45 %, get your average 3 enhanced l00ts, say, with meager 3.5×, 3.5×, and 10× mults––there′s your shitty 62 % TT return run.
You′d do a 100 PED run (100 kills), get no f*ckin′ mults at all until right to the end and shortly before you′re out of ammo or your weapon breaks you swirl... after the run you′re sore because you had a global and didn′t even get your PEDs back, however, you had your 45 % base l00t and one 50× mult, and there′s 95 % TT back for you.
(Just a few examples.)
Ppl talk all the time about »bad l00t,« and even if I use that notion too, conversationally, actually there is no »bad l00t«
per se. When you′re way down on TT returns, you′re just not getting your multipliers––that′s it.
Back to the question whether to expect swirlies on these runs at hand.
Before L00t 2.0 I could easily swirl on Eudorian Devils and get nice items from them. Also note that for swirlies I′d only need one 25× mult. I didn′t get one in 365 total l00t events.
Already before starting this log I didn′t have a global on a non-n00b mob since 14 Sep 2017. And that′s not because of not hunting.
My ava hasn′t been that great in hunting, overall.
Some ppl seem to believe in »cursed avatars«––I don′t. However I do believe that the results of avatars are governed by waves and that it might be the case, that at inception certain individual coefficients or parameters are assigned to each avatar which govern those waves.
In nine years of hunting I′ve had never a greater mult than 250×. My highest single hunting l00t is 536 PED. (Not complaining about not getting an uber, btw... with 250× mults max you′d obviously have to shoot 4 PED mobs or higher for that––which I usually don′t.)
MA leave a big hole in their reportings about L00t 2.0 returns, as many have noticed. This hunting log, now concluded, reports right out of this hole. Other players seem to share this kind of quite frustrating experience atm, I gather.
What to make of this? Go back to n00b mobs, when you′re just a small-fry player, because odds are more favourable there? Stop hunting altogether (having stopped mining early in 2015 already and hardly doing any crafting anymore)?
Well, before deciding on that I might flush another 100 PED down the...
