We were hanging in the regular Den ov Evil, Gameonline in Gothenburg, Sweden.
Two Mind Ark representatives step in and talk to Micke, the owner, about "this new game" they would like us to try. I always thought it was around 15 December 2002 while Ivo (Predator) and Erik (Caerbannog) I think held that it was way closer to xmas, 20th or 22nd.
It was a thrilling game. Easy to be eaten, mobs were kill-stealing (they ate one another) and sabakumas looted striped underwear. Shop out at Hadesheim sold ugly black or white pyjama sets. The world was fresh and low-poly. An umbranoid trader sold mk2 and for an additional 200 ped +tt, half a year later you got an imk2, that bugged laser and a couple of parts angel.
Here's to another decade and a half and to new beginnings as the year closes.
