I have a mentor, but have been informed that there isn't much else left for them to teach me beyond, aim this end at mob and mindlessly click. Which is nothing I couldn't figure out myself.

I am currently at 43% completion, been playing 2 months now, lurking on the forums, and doing research through various websites, etc. I will stick with same person for the "official discipleship" as I don't want to lose progress, but I am hoping an experienced mentor is still interested in helping me with a better understanding of the game, despite not getting a mentor item.

For instance helpful information, like you can refine those loot box pills into ammo, is extremely helpful, and I never knew to ask that sort of question, if someone wouldn't have told me, I would have never known.

I am interested in real micro details, like how to squeeze +1% more efficiency out of my weapon, or if that efficiency really even counts if it is bumped up due to scope or sights. dpp vs efficiency, which impacts loot returns more kinda of thinking... think accounting and spreadsheets, probably real boring stuff for most, lol.

Appreciation in advance,

John

Tbh now you have the basics sorted you may benefit more from joining one of the larger societies. 2 main advantages
1. Lots of knowledge from a wide range of experience and professions within EU
2. Lots of players mean a higher chance of someone with an answer will be around when you think of the question, rather than by the time you forgot what it was

In a very biased way I would suggest NBK Army the starter soc of the Natural Born Killers group. This soc has been around many years and has the advantage of a shared chat with the rest of the group so your questions may be answered by a full range of experienced players. There are ofc other good societies, some country specific and some like NBK from all over the globe.

So your next research should probably be to ask around and see what societies have a good rep and help newer players, are they time zone specific or 24/7, specialists at hunting, mining or generalists ?

Being in a soc usually has the added advantage of team hunts and other activities that are available from time to time and add another dimension to game play.

every time you kick mentor you have to start over the discipleship... stick with that mentor system wise but seek out another to become a society mate.

Yeah that is why I want to keep current "official mentor" but find someone willing to help me.

The trick of an MA lawyer is they don't have to know anything, just create the argument that they might. :)

I don't disagree, I only wish my experiences so far with socs were as helpful as you mention.

What exactly do you mean by "beyond the basics"?

What are you looking to get out of the game?

What is your monthly depositing budget?

How much time do you commit to playing every week?

and we can fly!

The above is pretty much my jam. Catch is I'm only online an hour or two once a week these days. Hope to expand that sooner than late.
Our soc's not at its most active but there is still usually one of us online.

There's nothing wrong with the old "Soc Hop". I did. It works.

Ciao.
