Endgame
Typically, when I take an hour or longer buff, I "top off" when I only have a few minutes left. Unfortunately, I recently discovered (at the expense of a 10 hour 100% skill buff and several 10% 1 hour skill buffs for testing) that when you try to "top off" with a few minutes remaining, you actually lose the pill buff you consumed and DO NOT get the buff given.
Normally, in the past, when you would "top off" you would only lose the last few minutes of your previous buff, and the clock would reset on the new buff pills you just consumed. That way was good enough. Today, you do not lose the last few minutes but rather lose the entirety of the new buff you consumed, with zero benefit. I am, needless to say, a little ticked as those 10 hour 100% pills are worth a pretty penny to me.

Yep, this is what MA "tried" to fix, although not skill pills per say, but all buffs. Apparently all buffs incl. HoT faps/chips fall into the same category of buffs, thus the hamster at MA who made this change may not have realized that and fucked everything up.

learned this on loot pills , though considerably less costly

you were hosed

OWCH... yeah I discovered the same thing but only at the expense of a couple candy canes. Sucks you lost a 100% 10 hour pill though that's really gotta sting.

Typical mindark move though - do a sloppy ass job patching a bug then let the players figure out if it conflicts with anything at their own expense rather than take the 20 minutes to test their "fixes" for additional consequences.

Maybe Mindark should do 5 ten hour skill gain pills for everyone as easter gift on all planets to compensate for the 'fix' breaking things.

MAYBE MA should get some pro programmers to make a solid game base. The best choice would be a complete overhaul, maybe even with a new engine - IT'S NOT IMPOSSIBLE. It's worth the effort and it will keep this game going in the future. This choice is better than the inevitable path it's going down now which is obsolescence. They could even run a kickstarter since they seem to be short on money. Let's see the plan. Take the initiative MA.

Hmmm, maybe they were trying to eliminate the stacking of skill buff pills as well but broke the topping off method... thx for the heads up

How bad can you code? Please MA...

Yeah it seems like this problem is there for anything that gives you a buff or debuff....

MF chips that slow mobs movement speed down are screwed up too. The attack speed is faster than the debuff so once you cast it a second time it will canx the original buff.

I heard there was an issue with divine as well....

same with flamethrowers, dots damage is not stacking
i think same with Arso Chip

:laugh::laugh: not as long as good programmers actually want a salary in cash instead of ambu sweat.

Or just update to use the latest cry engine, latest version of cry engine + programmers with skills = a decent game.

Well their initiative to get money has been working on other ventures like Compet and Deeptoken. As far as I can tell REAL development of EU is stalled until money from Deeptoken starts coming in. As they said the proceeds of this Deeptoken project will fund future development of EU. Although reading between the lines I see this more as a statement like "if this Deeptoken fails, Entropia's days are numbered because EU can't even pay for it's own development beyond gratuitous bug fixes."

...And without constant REAL improvement/updates an MMO will die. WoW didn't get where they are today by letting the game rot away with stale content and outdated graphics or by ignoring their playerbase's requests/complaints. Hell, WoW's recent expansion added a good chunk of hours of quests and gameplay into the game. Entropia's latest big "expansion" was battlesim (released nearly a year ago).... I rest my case.

...And without constant REAL improvement/updates an MMO will die.

EU is not an MMO, it's a casino. They don't cater to MMO players, they cater to compulsive gambers.

If your point was valid, EU would have failed years ago.

Explosive Projectiles IV alone keeps the servers online and the staff paid mate. All the rest of us are just a bonus.

I lost Augumented auto loot pill in this issue, very frustrating

two very good points - I stand corrected :)

I'm a mmo player and I get my fun out of EU. your point hence can't be valid

you're a nub, you don't gamble, and i'm pretty sure you're not the reason the lights didn't turn out years ago already. but enjoy your fun while it lasts, dear mmo player
