As it seems they're doing their test atm.

Changes i've seen so far:
- 10%, 30%, 90% return near success replaced by ~50% return near sucesses
- successes always giving more than the click costs
- times 1,5 and times 2,5 multipliers happening far more often

Test runs so far:
44 clicks Simple I Conductor ~40% success rate - 30,8 PED in - 27,68 PED out - 89,87% return
118 clicks EP II 34,7% success rate - 23,6 PED in - 18,28 PED out - 77,45% return
345 clicks EP II 41,4% success rate - 69 PED in - 57,43 PED out - 83,23% return

900 clicks on basic sensor did not return any alicenies gel from near successes, only belkar ingot. This certainly is new.

(it used to return lower tt ingredient in higher quantity than the higher tt one but not 200+ to zero.)

This may have considerable impact on crafts where MU difference between ingredients is significant.

Imo, they should scrap the always overshooting on success and increase the return on near success.
For component crafting it may be okay to overshoot, because of more MU stuff, however when crafting gear the overshooting isn't worth any MU (UL items) or just very little (L Items).

Alukat, your numbers suck. Go do some real crafting.

What comes to crafting returns. Near success should be defined somewhere, I don't care where, but it should be.

I'm fine with near success giving in 2 component blueprint case, 50/50 returns.

I'm not fine with near success giving in 4 component case common33%/common33%/common33%/rare0% component.

Every single fucking rare component blueprint DOES NOT return rare components EVERY FUCKING TIME. Why would I want residue, lyst and zinc on near success, while all the hansidian gets used up? It fucking sucks. Hansidian is rare, why can't you fucking return it in near success as much as other componenets?

I'm not doing crafting anymore, except for maybe my remaining furniture clicks, was just trying out the changes to see what happened there ^^

44 clicks simple 1 conductors
whatever explo 2 clicks

this is like messi posting his stats after shooting a mob 300 times.

This crafting test period may actually be a good time to try out a large crafting run.

are you really going nuts about first impressions or respectively sharing first results?

small 500 +500 run

Did small test run 500 click 2x (continuously)

500 click 100% Quantity (2 Components, 0 Highest TT component returned maxed BP)
TT return 80.87% Product 63.00% TT ,
-=> Result with MU Market = 89% return (COS 35.8% )

2nd part 500x @ ~ 90% Quantity same BP continued .... 8x Higher TT component returned)
TT return 79.48% Product 64.34% TT, result with MU Market = 88.62% return (COS 34.01 % -but this is combined with 1st part, so actual was less )

Overall ,.... so not

Got quite disappointed, as None successful craft since Dec .... (including MU), did ~ 50k+ clicks (runs on components 300 + clicks), as average TT return ~ 69% TT ...

PLC MA provide good options to Divest .....

tt spent TT bck TT%
43016.5904 39271.82639 0.9129460523

Not counting boosted bps (from which i got 12k ubah yday), its items crafted all around (component gizmo wep amp enhancer). Also consider it contains L12 amp craft (50 ped a click) with low qr bp. So far I like what I see

Did a small run of 5423 clicks on welding wire (L) Bp's as I wanted to get rid of them from storage.
Note, these were clicked on condition...why? 0.12PED per click.

Ingredients needed:

1 x Lysterium Ingot (5423 total freshly mined myself so no mu considered) - 162.69ped cost
1 x Alternative Ingot (5423 total - brought from AH as no one in chat had any - 200ped cost
10 x Vibrant Sweat (54230 total - brought from sweaters at boreas for 1.5p/k...could get cheaper if i wanted to but like to help out every now and then. - 81ped cost (i had some in storage as well)
1 x Ospra Ingot (5423 total - brought from AH - 350ped cost

Total cost: 793.69 (TT Value is 651.30 so mu paid is 142.39)

Crafting
Success: 5.67%
TT Return - 591.36

591.36/651.30 = 90.80% return

Materials returned:
Metal Residue - 214.20 ped
Energy Matter Resdiue - 55.74 ped
Sweat - 0.20ped (20484 sweat returned)
Ospra Ingot - 51.86ped
Lyst Ingot - 48.39ped
Alternative Ingot - 42.12ped
Welding Wire - 178.77ped (1.78mil wire)
8 x UL Bps (mostly crap ones)

Total loss - 793.69-591.36 = 202.33ped loss

No globals or HOFS...biggest success i got was 9.5ped (79.17 x the cost to click), lowest was 0.98ped (8.17 x the cost to click). Since this was done on condition, there was a lot of fails to be expected.

Will i break even on this? Welding wire current MU is 164% so that would be an extra 114ped in mu.
If i can sell the sweat back at 1.3p/k thats another 26ped. Alt can sell for 115% so thats an extra 6.3ped.
202.33-114-26-6.3 = 56.03 loss.

So no i wont, but i never expected to on this...i was more interested to see what items would be returned.
Having nearly half of the sweat returned back to me as well as all types of the ingredients is a different change.
Usually when i craft this on condition i still wouldn't get much of the Ospra or Alt back...normally just Lyst and residue. But as you can see, i got around a similar amount back of each tt wise.

Success rate has not changed at all, this is around the same as before.

Now i just need to get another 5423 clicks to test on quantity to see the difference in item return.

After some more testing:
crafting prior to loot 2.0 was pretty decent.
crafting from introduction of loot 2.0 till december changes was quite okay.
crafting after the december adjustments was just terrible.
current crafting, with test changes, is still terrible.

Please, just go back to pre loot 2.0 or pre december changes....

having to shut down all those 124-300% MU crafts (with raw materials bought at ~110%), because of too high risk of going bankrupt, due to very high chance of utterly garbage returns, just sucks...

In case that you don't go back to crafting how it was prior to loot 2.0, then please increase the chance for L BPs to drop by times 4. Their droprate has drastically decreased when loot 2.0 or the december chances got implemented.

Final results for test period (as it is now over):
TT spent: 320148.9264
TT back: 305316.0036
TT%: 95.36%

Not including boosted L blueprints

For comparison my stats for pre-test:
TT spent: 2851061.279
TT bck: 2636523.599
TT%: 92,47%

Hope they bring it back

I hope they don't, loosing about 20-30 PED (TT-value + MU) per 20 PED MU just sucks...
I stoped amp crafting the moment that crafting test gone live....

Well stop crafting things at a loss :wise:

The test drastically increased my profitability, I hope they keep it or something very similar.

Just for the record, you will not profit crafting level 5 amps or some such thing. With a 100 QR bp and a supply chain to get mats cheaper than average MU, you might just break even. Saying MA's crafting system sucks because you can't make ped on amp crafting is silly.

Thing is during crafting 1.0 the crafts were profitable pretty much all the time and just turned into losses most of the time when they made it more volatile and nerfed the near successes, far too high risk of bankruptcy these days as well :wise:

Also, try crafting with high MU stuff (devil's tail, medical compress and so on) when you always loose those high MU items..... hmm, maybe i should just wait untill all those materials gone drastically down in MU

Btw, i'm not crafting mining amps.
