So I guess we're just not doing state of the universe anymore?

It will be interesting to read MindArk's 2017 financial report, for now only 2016 report is available (as far as I can see...). Anyway just reading it makes me laugh for example :

"Important events during 2016
MindArk continues to expand and invest in its core product, Entropia Universe, along with initiating
an exciting new gaming experience, ComPet Game.

ComPet Game
A first beta version of ComPet Game was released in May 2016. The feedback from the testers was
very positive
. In December 2016 ComPet Game was fully released for Android and is planned for
release on iOS and Steam within the next few months. As promised, MindArk is also working on
the integration between ComPet and Entropia Universe, offering an innovative cross-platform and
cross-genre gaming experience. That being said, Entropia Universe is the primary product and
focus of MindArk, and will continue to be so. In developing ComPet as an alternative gaming
experience, MindArk has added an offering to complement and promote Entropia Universe.

it does, we don't know who that team is. individually they might play 8-10 hrs a day, choose a different team name each time they team up and just so happened to hit well.

just ignore what others are doing, it will fill you with unwanted stress.

could you at least try 2-3 minutes of research? i understand this was offtopic here, but the point is legit in my humble opinion. after this research you'll be over 90% sure that it was a professional team of noob alts. my very best guess...

Not much research can really be done other than assumptions and guess work. entropialife as of the time i made that comment had a single global.

since that comment i see yog and cultist globals have been added, but searching weirdos and if they are the same shows quite a lot of different teams, globals like exarosaur Elites and pop dragons from 2011. but if its only the amazings then it does seem nooby, but also could be someone who likes to mentor and team with his disciples.

Dunno how you can guess alts, something im missing?

State of the Universe 2017 - 16th February 2017
State of the Universe 2016 - 24th February 2016
State of the Universe 2015 - 28th February 2015
State of the Universe 2014 - 26th February 2014

I guess it should be due this week?

I think that's because after all these shit like VR, President of Visual world, compet, deeptoken, Equus quad, and more, nothing can bring them anything good at all other than spending tons of money. Annual big sale does not work anymore, I think even them don't know what to do next.
I'm here to tell you guys at Mindark, just fucking focus on EU itself, no more bullshit please. You are a game design company, don't do those shit you don't even know about. Just focus on building a better enviroment for your loyal customer in EU.

It really does change the fact that buff stacking and broken HoT items are fckd up, lags, exploited events, disinformation from MA? And yes many noob uberbers, im not jealous just loot pool rewards remind me of slot machine and im not cool with it. :wise:

Well, that chirpy didn't go to noobs. :)

I for one am happy to see teams getting good loot.

What are you guys talking about ?

i'm surprised the 500+ped bery puny wasn't mentioned.

I dont get whats so hard to understand about the puny hof, loot based on cost to kill. The common "jackpot" multiplier seems to be 4000x. So any one using a .18-.22 pec a shot gun to kill them can hit 500-1k hofs, and gets many rolls at the dice given they can 1shot them. Does that need balancing? idk maybe, by itself probably not. But if theres a correlation with overamping (raises efficiency stat to the same numbers as best gear in game) causing abnormal returns (TT profit or close to it/warped loot compositions/excessive bonus loots) then yes. Havent bothered to test it myself but im pretty sure several players are running alts to test this. No access to their results tho sadly but i hope MA are at least keeping an eye on the situation.

I highly doubt the frequency of bonus loot is affected and I'm pretty sure even 100% efficiency is not tt profit, maybe 99%, and the best you could get from super overamping a tiny gun is like 80% efficiency and your loot composition would probably be terrible, with that said, it still is interesting to consider.

I also think the drastic increase in kill cost not accounted for in damage would simply add to cycle costs and probably would cancel out any sort of benefit you might get in terms of increased efficiency by forcing you to cycle a much larger amount per kill, just like why scopes/sights/whatever despite potentially increasing your efficiency slightly are still not really worth using due to the added cycle costs.

The dig at this particular hof may or may not be misguided.

However the list below is from early october. Took about 20min to compile just browsing through 'latest ubers' section for noob mobs.

100s of those followed since. Some of those noobs/alts might still be playing. Only rechecked a few. Draw your own conclusions.

who they might be? are big hofs on small mobs fair?

You have not quite played long enough. When I started in 2007 atrox young and feff outcasts and bandits 20-25K every day. Then players like yourself complained that they would rather have more medium hofs and not the big ones. That was around 2010 and MA fixed it and since then until now we hardly ever saw any 10K and above until now unless it was prot stalkers and the like. SO please keep your mouth shut so we don't go back to that:) PS pass it on to your friends :)

Sorry I misread but it seemed that I detected a little "I want to change" from someone and trust me we don't:).

Man back in 2k7 player base were around 10k active players there was no spots where you could silently hunt Fefs.
Comparet to nowdays MA gives same hofs with 5times smaller playerbase.
Whats the point of deication for hunting if your hard work goes to someone who loots few mobs and get lucky.
This is no casino and thats true cuz in casino every one has equal chances of lose/win

from what I heard the playerbase size hasn't really decreased that much, moreso it's just gotten thinned out because the game's size has gotten a lot bigger despite the playerbase size having either decreased slightly or stagnated

as far as people having equal chances, as much as people like to whine in this game I'm pretty sure everyone does have equal chances to "lose/win", at the very least when it comes to receiving or not receiving loot multipliers, people like to complain about big punies or big kerberos but don't realize there are beyond insane amounts of hunters with a few hundred or few thousand ped in their tracker killing tons of those mobs every day, so some large multipliers, just as with other activities, are bound to happen sometimes

Its ok, i know its easier to call someone names. Iv grinded much more way before el.com was created. And yes entropia lost hunreds of players after new cryengine only because of player base shitty pc's not to mention those who just refused to accept new "rules''. Similar shit happened after famous "2.0". If you invested lets say 10k$ in hunting equipment 2y ago so you should be -50% of you investment by now. But hey i know its your opinion and im just a whiner about shady investments! Have a good day and stay as positive as you are now man! :)

p.s. This game is all about advatages of investment you make.

Maybe if you spent all 10k on crit items? Most of the other stuff has really not gone down in value that much, and yes, the playerbase did take a hit on the switch to CryEngine, and has, according to the data released by MA, basically been steadily recovering since then.

The famous "2.0" actually makes the game a lot more fair for players overall while still providing opportunities for profit regardless, as long as players are willing to gear up well and hunt for markup (sounding familiar?) the majority of the players who were "lost" from this update were either players who are too lazy to care for anything other than brainless tt profit (leeching off rest of playerbase) or just had some negative experience and decided loot 2.0 was to blame because people are always looking for something to put the blame on, even if the loot 2.0 change overall actually benefited their gameplay.

Regarding it being easy to call somebody names, I have not done this in what I wrote at all, though I assume English is not your first language

Where did you get your info a crystal ball ? I was here and I used tracker and I don't remember much of a diff between then and now as far as active players. And what does "silently hunt" mean, oh never mind I don't care. BTW the way you say you were here before entropialife ? I call BS on that because you first global was 2013 and EL was around long before that or did your secret life hide your globals from them? lol.

I like the big cement monolith better that was out in the desert. Was not saying you were lying about that just you memory is a little foggy about some other things lol.

I have to disagree:
Loot 1.0: 1000 click run with QR 100 BP and maxed out skill > 90+% of the time profit with MUs
Loot 2.0: 1000 click run with QR 100 BP and maxed out skill > about even with MUs
Loot 2.x (december and later): 1000 click run QR 100 BP and maxed out skill > very high chance to be loss after MUs

Please tell me, where the benefit for my gameplay is.

As far as I know Loot 2.0 was a change to hunting loot mechanics, not crafting loot mechanics, if they tweaked those as well they didn't mention it, I was not aware, and it wasn't what I was referring to.
