Question: Does pet skill gain buff include whip skills.

Title says it all really. Just wondering if the generic 10/15/20% pet and taming skill gain buff that most common pets have effects whip skills. For example if i was out hunting non tameable creatures with a whip would I be gaining extra whip skills from the buff or does it only affect the actual animal taming/lore skills.
