OK, I'm confused. I activated both door switches, but the barrier remained for me.

same here, but watch how he did it as fast as possible
also, when he is through the door, it closes again, so it is time related.

Yeah I've been trying and I got it pretty fast(ish) but nope. Oh well. If speed is the key, I'll just keep trying

There is no need to click both switches, it can be done using the shortcut much easier. I explained it here:
